Keyboard IS backlit. Some reviews said it was not or didn't list it at all. Touchpad to unlock the laptop and the SSD make it lightening fast, 10 seconds, to bring up the desktop from the time you push the power button to turn on the laptop.

The keyboard is smooth, but easy to type on. The touch pad can be a little sensitive sometimes but not a deal breaker. Overall great product I’m very happy with it.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Seems with its top features, it will serve him for his college. Some doubts about its ruggedness though. I have my 13# macbookpro for 4 years now and its going great!

With regard to connecting to an external HDMI device, the USB-c port on this device carries both HD video and Audio and you can purchase a USB-c to HDMI adapter to be able to connect your HDMI cable to this device, then connect to an external HDMI device, like a monitor or TV.

With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

The touchscreen is great for old timers like me who need to zoom in to see. It is easy to use and can do anything any other computer can despite the size. I love it.

The battery life is pretty good especially given its size. The CPU is very disappointing. The simplest tasks peg all four cores to 100% and everything just crawls at that point. The 4K display is very pretty when I find something in 4K which isn't very often. Maybe if I could find away to get flash to use the video card some of my heartburn would be relieved. I should have bought one of the surface models.

Posted .This system should be an extremely fast system with its Core I-7 processor and 16GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10, especially the version of Flash you are using. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off. Check to be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Great laptop but...
