Posted .The Lenovo Yoga 920-14 is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, supported by 16GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Great laptop

The only reason it didn't get 5 you stars it's bcuz the small flimsy pen holder that came with the laptop has to go in the one and only regular sized USB port. When the pen is in the holder it covers the power button. I ended up putting that back in the box and go without a pen holder. Seriously tho that is my ONLY complaint.

Quick and light

Easy to use as a tablet too. It is very fast, even with several applications open. The only thing that I’ve noticed, that someone else mentioned, was that the screen could be brighter. Also the battery doesn’t seem to last as long as it said.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 920-14. With regard to the screen brightness, this model ships with an IPS 3840 x 2160 (UHD) 4K resolution screen, with a brightness level of 300 nits. If your screen is not bright enough, be sure the auto brightness feature is turned off and the brightness level is set to 100%. With regard to battery life, the Yoga 920-14 ships with a 4CELL 70WH, Lithium Polymer battery, with a battery life of up to 9 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Posted .This system should not crash. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed, there may be software BIOS/driver updates that are needed. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window. Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Lightweight and powerful

This fit the bill! Doesn't always recognize my fingerprint. Comes pre-installed with Microsoft Edge but not Microsoft Office, which I think is an unfair tease, so I downloaded freeware instead.

Great Piece of eqipment

Had a small issue with charging port but got it replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. After couple of years the hinges are getting a little loose but hold in place

Works well

This 920 has good memory and storage, seems a bit heavier, but not a deal-breaker. The only thing I hate that Lenovo did was change the two-prong plug to a three-prong one, which cuts down on ability to charge anywhere with the included power adapter. Had to go on-line and buy a two-pronged one to have the necessary flexibility.

Very functional laptop

I did ask BestBuy to remove the malware that the manufacturer puts on and they did. The key board is good. The screen has good lighting. The battery life seems ok. The real test of course depends on how the machine holds up and also the service i get from Lenovo. Service with HP was very good but I have no track record for Lenovo.

Powerful and slick

Can turn instantly into a tablet which is great because she loves to draw. Includes software that recognizes her handwriting and changes it into typed text. I went with the best processor, drive and memory and am not disappointed. Cannot beat 4K graphics. This Yoga will serve her well for the rest of her college years and beyond.
