I gave it a shot for about 2 weeks, but ended up returning it. Besides the fan noise, very nice machine. Looks great and is fast. The fan noise just kills it for me.

Posted .This is a high performance system with its Quad-Core, 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal.

I looked at similar configured 2-in-1s from HP, Dell and Asus and the Lenovo Yoga 920 offers many more features for the money. Love the display, fingerprint reader, stylus and the battery life. I have owned other Lenovo laptops and have been very happy with them overall. This is my first 2-in-1 so fingers crossed.

The screen at the bottom would start shaking. Customer service guy said that it’s probably the connection between the screen and the keyboard. Hopefully it will not happen again because it was quite expensive.

Screen gets dark if you view from an angle. Integrated graphics means you can’t really play games. I got it on sale but I couldn’t justify keeping it. Snappy and very light!

I use it everyday mostly for basic stuff i.e. Word, Excel, web browsing and streaming tv shows. It boots up within seconds and everything works as expected. It’s thin and sleek so it looks good inside and out. Battery life seems quite good. I haven’t used it more than 3-4 hours at a time so I only charge it once a day. I’m not a gamer so I can’t comment on that aspect of it.

First unit came with screen defect

Just like this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIHJYWsFCI . I returned it for a replacement, so hopefully the next laptop does not have this problem.
