I was looking for a new laptop for over 2 years but never quite felt like I found the right one for me. Looked seriously at Dell XPS 13, which had good reviews, but when I went into store to physically look at and touch laptops I discovered the Lenovo Yoga 920. Did more research on both the Dell and Lenovo and when I went to buy my new PC I was actually leaning towards the Dell. I was greeted by a computer department employee when I entered Best Buy Chesterfield and told him was I was looking at and he immediately told me the differences between the two which wasn’t significant. He said he had the Dell XPS and loved it, but my gut kept tell me the Lenovo Yoga 920 was for me, even though it was a little more expensive than the Dell. Love, love, love my choice! It’s fast, its lightweight, being an old techie (retired) I was able to tailor things to my preferences and get software I would use. Love the ability to switch to tablet mode at anytime and use pen to add notes etc. To say the least, I am a very happy camper

Previously owned a Yoga 2 pro circa 2014. I really enjoyed that computer and replaced it with this modern version. This unit has a 4000 level pen input that is great fun to use, and works quite well for drawing and navigating. I was going to buy a Ipad Pro.....but wanted the flexibility this unit provided. I do wish they could make these units fan less. It is quieter than the yoga 2 pro....but still comes on more than I like. But let me tell you, that if you work on some of the bios settings, and put this unit in "quiet mode" by pushing control q' you can get it to be fairly quiet. It does have a great design.....is extremely light and has a gorgeous display....so you will enjoy this or the c930 which is the newest model.

The Lenovo Yoga 920-14 4K model is a high performance 2 in 1 computing system in an ultra portable configuration. This system ships with the powerful Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, supported by 16GB DDR4-2400MHz RAM, a 512GB solid state hard drive and a 4K resolution screen. This system is configured for powerful, portable computing. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Lenovo

I bought this Laptop on June 10th. 1st off they have the HP Spectre x360 which I loved more. It is 13.3 inches has an Hdmi port already and longer battery life. Still lightweight and comes with a lightening USB-C charging port. I Loved the speakers on top of the laptop. Now lets get to the Yoga. The sound quality is terrible even though the speakers are JBL because they placed them on the bottom of the computer. So all your sound is basically hitting the table or if the pc is folded into tablet mode, the sound is blocked by the other side of the board. The one I purchased os the FHD model as well and having a 4k screen is useless when you have to turn down the resolution of the screen or run all your apps in compatibility mode. Basically there are not enough updated apps to make paying a few extra hundred worth the better screen. Go with the model right under this one until more apps are 4K. I have to run the sims 4 in compatibility mode and reduce the resolution of the display to medium. If I play on ultra HD it makes all the wording and windows to small to be legible. I know this is not a gaiming laptop, but it has a decent size SSD and 16 gb Ram. Yet it runs super hot if you are playing the sims for any longer then 5 minutes. I recommend purchasing a fan to go underneath the Yoga to cool it. The vents for this 2-n-1 are behind the watchband hinge so there is not much cooling power on its own when running multiple apps or playing a game. It's sounds like I have only mentioned bad stuff about this laptop, but I do typically like it. It is not worth the price I paid but overall it can be useful as a business professional laptop. Its fast with start up. Decent battery life of 10 hours on full 4k display and charges quickly. This being said, I aske the sales rep whats the difference between the Lenovo Yoga 920 and the HP Spectre x360 was? His response: HP has 13.3 screen and Lenovo has 13.9. Both have same price point and do the same thing, but Lenovo is the better manufacturer. He also said the Lenovo was lighter weight with longer battery life then HP. I found this out later that he lied. The best Buy rep did not know a thing about these computers. The HP has better graphics card, same specs as Lenovo Yoga 920 and last 3 hours longer for battery. I love my Yoga because of the watchband Hinge and 13.9 inch screen, but I would like to return it for the HP as I should have went with my 1st mind. Both computers are the same price at Best Buy. I have not had a chance to check out the camera quality yet. I would recommend this to a friend, but only after I recommend the HP spectre 1st. I can deal with the slightly smaller screen as a tradeoff for longer battery life and a HDMI port.

This computer is a good middle road between light, fast, and moderately priced. I tend to have 5 or so programs open at once with multiple documents and tabs open in each. Sometimes as many as 15-20 excel files, for example and 15 Chrome tabs. I’m constantly switching between applications and in spite of all this, it rarely freezes, crashes, or has serious lag times in switching. It’s very solid—a bit too solid maybe as it’s a bit on the heavy side, but on the other hand this is the first computer I’ve owned where I don’t necessarily feel like I need to carry the power cord around with me. The battery really lasts and that sort-of makes up for the extra weight. I’ve got only 2 complaints, really. 1) the screen is quite dim and hard to see in bright lighting. 2) it would be nice to have an SD card slot like previous versions have had or an HDMI port. I bought a multiple port dongle and it works fine, but it would be nice not to have to have the dongle for everything.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 920-14. This is a Top Of The Line System. It is very fast with its 8th Generation, Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, q6GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. There should be no lag no freezing. Be sure any programs you have installed are compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office. It is already installed as part of the Windows 10 operation system. You just need to activate the software onboard already with the purchase of a 25-digit product key. If you have installed another copy of Microsoft Office, this may be the cause of your lagging and program freezing. This configuration has an IPS, anti-glare 3840 x 2160 (UHD) screen, with a brightness level of 300 nits. Be sure you have turned off automatic brightness control if your screen is not bright enough. lenovo

I needed a new laptop for college. I didn't know what to buy. The more research I did, the more confused I got! I finally went into Best Buys. They had reps from all of the name brand companies onsite. I spoke to each of them and then decided on the Lonovo - Yoga 920 2 in 1. I am so happy that I did! I love the durable (strong hinges & gorilla glass) and light-weight design. For a small laptop, the screen size (13.9") is more than adequate and the picture quality is superb. Being an impatient person, I was impressed with how fast apps load and how quickly I can get where I want to be; I also love the fingerprint login. I use the tablet feature more than I had anticipated and it's wonderful, as well. I use my laptop everyday, for at least 12 hours, and I'm loving it! It's lightweight, durability, and speed has the rest of my family planning on purchasing the Lonovo - Yoga 920 2 in 1 in the near future.

I bought this replace an older iPad and Laptop. Very pleased with the Yoga. Initially I had some connectivity issues with my wireless but it turned out to be a problem with my Xfinity router rather than the laptop. Machine works as advertised, amazing screen and the fan is virtually silent.

I've been using PC's for 13 years and decided to try this Lenovo. I took it home and as soon as I did practically anything the fan went on and it was loud enough to be distracting. I then read more reviews and found that many people complained about this. For a less expensive Levovo this might have been acceptable, but this one costs more than a Macbook Air. I returned it and got a Mac.

a very good resolution, a very comforting keyboard with an excellent touchpad, the hinges are strong, and the display size is acceptable. the fingerprint reader is amazing. the microphone is awesome and can detect the sound from far distances. the touch screen is very good in all modes. the tablet mode is amazing and very helpful. very thin and light which makes it easier for daily uses. there is a bit of heating in the upper part of the keyboard which is somehow uncomfortable (the keyboard keys insulate the heat), but not a big deal. It also comes with the Lenovo active pen 2 which is amazing.

I give this laptop 5 stars because I love it overall and I love so many things about it. I am still getting to know the laptop but have had it for 1 month now and only find a few things that can be improved such as the little glitches that sometimes occur when using the stylis or leaning on the screen while using the stylis. I love that the laptop is 2 in 1, it is so versatile and useful. The hinge works well and is sturdy. The touch of the screen and the track pad are both premiere quality. The display is the highest quality. New processor wonderful. Way way better than the MacBook Pro.

I'm coming from a macbook which I loved, but didn't want to spend $3Gs on a 15". I compromised to a 14" Lenovo Yoga 920. It received positive reviews, and has worked well for me thus far. The kids love the sketch capabilities using the provided stylus pen. The only thing I am still getting used to is the keyboard. I use shortcuts heavily and just haven't transitioned well to the shape of the arrow keys in knowing where my fingers are placed in relation to them and the ctrl key.

Overall, this is a really amazing computer! If you are looking for a computer for college, this is definitely a good choice. I am going to school for aerospace engineering and it hasn't disappointed me yet. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, get the 4k display, i7 core, 512 SSD and 16 GB RAM. It might seem excessive (and it probably is if you aren't doing anything with it besides surfing the web), but if you're on the fence with what "level" of computing power to get, opt for the higher performance. You really can't go wrong with the additional price because you get so much more. HEATING/FAN ISSUE: at first I thought that this was a legitimate issue, but now I know that it's not. When I first purched the laptop and started doing work on it, I noticed that the fans had a tendency to run, what seemed like, excessively (considering the i7 core). I did some research online and came to realize that this was due to the ultra-slim design of the computer. The laptop is just so thin that there isn't much space for air ventilation, so the fans may go on for longer periods of time, and the area on top of the keyboard under the screen will get a little hot. There's NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! This is just because of the size of the laptop. It's a small price to pay, in my opinion, for such a small and powerful machine. Highly recommend!
