Least reliable laptop I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been the least reliable laptop I've ever owned. First one broke in six months with a catastrophic screen/motherboard failure. Lenovo sent someone to repair the device and the same problem happened again within two weeks. I battled Lenovo customer service and convinced them to send me a new machine. Well that one broke within six months as well (another motherboard failure). Again, Lenovo performed a repair and less than two weeks later the same problem reoccurred. I conceded to another attempted repair, but this one lasted less than a week. I'm stuck with a broken machine and now Lenovo wants me to send it back to the factory for repairs so I'm stuck without a laptop for the foreseeable future (and I've been provided no compensation from Lenovo for all my troubles). DO NOT waste your hard earned money on this piece of trash! The features look nice and are very alluring but this machine is not worth the hours on the phone with customer service and the weeks without a functional computer.

Piece of Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Lenovo customer since the first edition of the first yoga. Recently I spent over 2,100 on the Lenovo 920 which included paying several hundred dollars for premier support. I waited a week to get the new computer. When I turned it on it started throwing every imaginable blue screen error. I call technical support they told me I need to send it back, which I expected. But I thought they would compensate me for my time and money by express shipping a new unit in the meantime. Nope... nothing. I was told to send it back and they will process my refund within 10 to 14 days after receiving the computer back. So much for "PREMEIR SUPPORT" So that basically means they are keeping my $2100.00 for over a month and I have absolutely nothing to show for it. i need a new computer TODAY... not in a month. I guess I am more disappointed in Lenovo then anything else. I thought they were better then that. I guess I will be buying a mac. One thing I am glad about.... I don't have to look at the ugliest start up logo on the planet... I can not believe they would approve that start up logo.... it gave me nausea just looking at it. Whoever is their graphic designer should be fired immediately.

Screen is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so surprised and upset to see positive reviews and feedback about screen because actually there is no true solid colors! All light colors (white, light grey, light blue, etc) are affected by some kind of moire patterns instead of be a solid, uniform color. Yoga 910 with 4K screen is better - color are solid. I am on my way to return the Yoga 920...

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the color setting of the monitor on your Yoga 920-14. This sounds like a software issue. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Yoga is worst device I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Lenovo Yoga in December 2016. It has since been in Geek Squad repair 3 times. The first two were for system shut-down errors that they ultimately could not figure out or fix, resulting in full replacement of the device. The replacement device has now had the touchpad and full top-case replaced (note it took them three weeks to turnaround that repair, all the while I was out of ability to do my job while I waited). The design is horrible, with the keypad placement being so terrible with the shift key being mis-placed. Did an actual human being try typing on this thing before they released it? Newer designs have corrected this. Do not be lured by the pretty hinge on this device, whenever you switch to tablet mode it will not switch back to normal laptop mode without diving 5 layers deep into your control panel settings to restore it. For someone who uses their laptop daily for their job, this device has been the worst I have ever owned. I will never buy another.

Glitches right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Opened the box today and screen is flickering so bad that I can hardly read the screen. The laptop is beautifully designed but the fact that an almost $2,000 laptop doesn't work straight out of the box?! Its insane. Googled the issue and there are tons of complaints about the same thing. Lenovo, I am shocked you are not checking your products and reviews to correct this issue. Extremely disappointed with this purchase. I live in the Caribbean for school so I can't even take this back to the store to exchange it.

DON'T BUY UNBOXED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems like a great computer -- haven't really used it though. Here's why: Spent $1911 to get an "Excellent -- Geek Squad Certified" unboxed version of the laptop. Expected something that looked "brand new" and was "professionally cleaned," what I got was full of scratches, there was some weird impression line running the length of the top, and sticky...something (sticker scum maybe) on the back, the pen -- did not look "brand new" AT ALL. So, Lenovo may have done really well, I dunno. What I do know is to purchase from Best Buy with great caution...

LOUD and Poor Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went for the version with the higher memory thinking the system would run easier and quieter than the less expensive version. Unfortunately, the system is VERY LOUD as it experiences ongoing performance issues, the fan comes on drowning out the background. Once the fan starts, it throttles up getting really LOUD, and then you get REALLY BAD PERFORMANCE - and then it crashes. I have had this system for 3 months and the patch they have sent out is ineffective. The system performs very poorly out of the box.

Posted .This is a high performance, ultra portable system with its Quad-Core/Eight Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Obviously, this system should not crash. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
