Excellent 2 in 1 for my wife who is starting school back up. Still has a USB type A and multiple USB type C ports. The screen is ultra bright and does very well outdoors. Battery life has also been superb. Performance is what you expect at this price point. If you’re looking between this and the Spectre, this definitely weighs less and I personally enjoy typing on this keyboard more than the spectre.

Speedy and looks great. The glass touchpad on this model is too finnicky, engages when it shouldn't and vice versa. The battery life is just unacceptable for a high-end unit like this in 2021. There is no way to turn down the display quality in order to achieve adequate battery life. I expect at least 8-10 hours of real world life. If I just run Gmail and Excel with my brightness at about 50%, I am lucky to get 4-5 hours after only 20 cycles. Also, the leather cover is not very durable and the palm wrest has an uncomfortably sharp edge. Build quality is there, finally. It doesn't feel like it was made in China.

The Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 9i-14 provides All-Day Battery Life, with its 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which in this configuration, has a battery life of up to 9 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

so far so good. I bought it as an open box and it was just missing the manual and power cord. But for the price, I was able to buy an aftermarket power cord for like $15 which still was worth it. I use this laptop mainly for video editing YouTube videos with Davinci Resolve 17 and it works. The laptop gets extremely hot if you're doing that so I would highly highly suggest a cooling fan be placed underneath it. It's really fast and does the job. If you aren't doing as much labor intensive tasks then this would be even more of a powerhouse. But for what I use it for I wish I stepped up and got the one with 16gb of RAM and a bigger hard drive. I don't like the fingerprint sensor bc it's hard to see or feel if it's dark. The screen is beautiful, Windows 11 isn't bad.

Over all its a very nice computer in a beautiful package. The only issue is the glass touchpad is very sensitive. I turned the sensitivity down to low and it is more managable. I wish it came with a 1 or 2TB drive, but without having one built, 512GB was the limit from Best Buy. I bought the 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus and replaced the 512GB drive and that made the computer a lot more usable for me. Battery life is decent. The display is amazing. The sound is pretty good considering the package size.

Minus one star because you have to buy a USB-C Thunderbolt dock/port/convertor to connect to other devices (like an external monitor). IMHO that should come with the laptop. That being said, it is sleek, fast and amazing. I am able to edit and convert 4k videos in Adobe Premiere/Rush with relative ease. The screen is beautiful to look at, crisp visuals, with great colors. I am by no means an expert and video editing is a hobby not a job, but I feel like it's pretty darn professional quality. Things that used to take an hour to load or export on my old laptop now take 10 minutes.

Let me start by saying overall this is a great machine. As an IT professional I put I put this machine through the rigors for the last six months and I have yet to lock this machine up the performance on it is great. Now I do recommend when you go to battery mode turn on battery saver and that will help you get somewhere between 10 to 11 hours on your battery life that 4K screen will eat into your battery that is for sure. The one downfall on this laptop is the trackpad is horrible I typically don’t use my trackpad often only if I’m in the airport 99% a time I’m using a wireless mouse other than that the performance great you will never experience any type of slow down or the machine.

This guy has been work horse of my design business. It's portable powerful and packs punch for such a small size. The down side is battery and the stylus runs out of juice and not as sensative as I need. But this laptop has allowed me to work remote, travel, and setup my office where I have Hotspot or wifi. Been a blessing. If next model had better battery life I would buy again!

BEST SPEAKERS, BUT BUY MICA VERSION INSTEAD

Positives -
* SPEAKERS - Best of any laptop out there. Tried all laptops on display, and nothing even came close. AMAZING.
* HANDREST - I loved the feel of it. Sad to let it go (see below).
* SCREEN RESOLUTION - 4K produces rich colors, brightness, and sharp images.
* PROCESSING SPEED - I've had other Yogas and recently had a Dell. It is a fast bootup and no lags.
Negatives -
* HAPTIC FEEDBACK TOUCHPAD - WAY too sensitive even with settings adjusted and all drivers uploaded (as always recommended on the feedback threads). You are constantly accidentally clicking or selecting text.
* FINGERPRINT SENSOR - Very difficult to find, and once you find it, it takes a few tries to get it right.
* BATTERY LIFE - Even when set to a lower setting, the battery life is still a low 5 hours.
* BACKLIT KEYBOARD - You can never set it to ON as a default. You have to turn it on every time.
* PHYSICAL SLIDING CAMERA BLOCKER - This was a great addition. I'm glad they're making it standard on many laptops. The challenge with this one is that it is so subtle that it is hard to find. The indicator that the camera is blocked (a red dot) is counterintuitive and not like other blockers, which use a red dot to mean that your camera is on.
The haptic feedback and the battery life were so challenging that I sacrificed the 4k and traded it in for the lower resolution Mica (silver) version. Just as fast. I can't really tell the difference in resolution. I also still get that incredible speaker.
CONCLUSION -
Don't buy this version. The black leather exterior wasn't a deal breaker for me. It just didn't wow me. The haptic feedback touchpad, the fingerprint issues, and the battery life were all too much. Purchase the Mica version instead. You don't get the 4k, but you get an amazing portable laptop.

Good and sturdy web browsing machine

The computer boots up extremely fast and feels very solid/sturdy. This computer will only be used for web browsing, watching videos and e-mail. It is probably overkill for that, but I wanted a sturdy computer. I did not pay full price as it was on sale and I bought an open box version.
Some people complain about the keyboard, but I like it. The haptic trackpad takes some getting used to, but I tend to tap rather than click, so it doesn't affect me. I have the screen set to rather low brightness and haven't tried viewing any 4K content, so I don't have any comment about that. The speakers are very loud compared to most laptops. Battery life is good when web browsing with the lowish brightness setting I use.
I like the look and feel of the computer, including the metal chassis and glass palmrest, but the leather screen lid looks and feels cheap to me. I would prefer a black metal screen lid, rather than the leather.

We like this light weight laptop and a 2-1 touch screen which is very convenient to carry around college campus. The computer runs fast with very good display. However, it has only one usb-A and one charging usb-C. We must buy another usb hub to connect to other devices like dvd player. The fingerprint log in function needs frequent cleaning to work properly.

Thank you for choosing the Intel Evo-Certified, lenovo Yoga 9i 14, model number 82BG0091US. This model ships with a Touch Style Ultrasonic fingerprint reader on palm rest, with match-on-host security. This ultrasonic fingerprint reader uses sound waves to read your fingerprint for greater accuracy. Here's a tip for making your fingerprint reader work every time: Try lightly sliding your finger over the fingerprint reader. No need to press hard on the reader, in fact pressing hard on the fingerprint reader will distort your fingerprint and cause read errors.

I bought this computer for college and really appreciate all that it can do! The storage is amazing, I have a whole wedding album with 300+ pictures and still have room for all my schoolwork. I wasn't looking for a 2-in-1 so its not my main focus, but when switching to the tablet mode, the keyboard can be felt from behind and I'm always stressing about not grabbing too hard and damaging the keys. Great pixilation and fast speeds. Comfortable size.

Great 2-in-1, love the "sound bar" in the hinge, beautiful display, quick charging and moderate battery life. i think the 14 inch display is the perfect size for a multitude of uses. The touch screen is great, and the pen stored in the laptop is great. Not sure what I could possibly give as a con. I love it. I guess it was pricey, but I think it was worth it.

Maybe 4.5. It is fast and has a great display. My only negative is I would like more ports. The 14 inch size is something I thought might be a problem as I had been using a 17 inch but the screen clarity and the resulting lighter easier to carry around device make up for it.
