A brand new laptop with a one year warranty should be covered for defects in hardware and software. Lenovo's warranty will only cover hardware, NOT software. Even thought it is factory install. An if you do seek support for an issue that has been present from the beginning, they will CHARGE you to fix a problem that was created by them. The issue I tried seeking resolution for is this, upon startup, the computer will not recognize any devices, Mouse, Monitor, plugged in. To enable recognition, I need to unplug and re-plug in cables for the external devices to be recognize. This should not be the case. I had tried to work with Lenovo to fix, but they used the excuse that it is software and not hardware, and I must pay for software support. REALLY! its a brand new unit.
