Great High End Computer

I purchased the Yoga AIO 9 about two months ago. It is a bit expensive, but well worth it. I have a small business, so I need a reliable computer. My tech guy said that he rarely works on Lenovo computers, so I decided to give it a try. This Lenovo replaced a 10 year old HP. It is astonishing that the small base of the display can house all the electronics that was in my old desktop unit.
The computer is fast and the 4K 32" display is really impressive. You can get a lot more information on the hi-res display than the usual 1080P 24" displays.
I have four printers and a USB 1TB backup drive connected to the Yoga. I was worried that there would not be enough USB ports for all my business related peripherals, but there was no problem.
The start up instructions are mostly no existent. A good example is the blue tooth mouse and keyboard. It comes with a BT transmitter which eats up a USB port. There is no explanation of how you can eliminate the USB transmitter after the computer startup is complete. I only knew that they could be connected via the computer BT because a blogger referenced it. The following is an explanation of how I was able to do it.
Pair Keyboard: Press the “3 Bluetooth” key that is above the PgUp key. There is a pairing button at the upper right outside edge of the keyboard.
Pair Mouse: With USB transmitter plugged in search for the mouse on Windows Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Devices > Add Device > select “2” paring light on bottom of mouse > if pairing is successful, select “Lenovo Pro WL Mouse” and it should connect > you can then remove the USB transmitter
It is a great computer, but you may need a highly skilled tech guy to set it up properly.

If you want a high-performing, visually gorgeous all-in-one desktop with minimal setup fuss and a classy design, the Yoga AIO 9i delivers in spades. It might not satisfy audiophiles, webcam mavens, or premium peripheral seekers, but for a sleek, powerful desktop that just works, it's an excellent choice

I got this all in one unit to utilize in my home office. I wanted to have something with a large screen, but also not take up much desk space. This nailed it. A powerful 13th generation I9 and 512solid state hard drive with 16gb ram, this will do the job. The base, no larger than my 32 in monitor that has no computer in the base. The msrp on this seem fairly competative on paper with similar units because of the large screen, and I see this is already on sale well below the msrp making it more approachable. The listing on some websites say this is touchscreen, but It is not. In CES 2023 review videos where this was launched, it said it was not touchscreen. Don't know why this much later it's still listed as touch, again it's not. It would be nice if it was though. Initial set up would be difficult for some. This has a wireless mouse and keyboard. The mouse can use an USB dongle, the keyboard does not. The keyboard and mouse can connect to 3 systems. Most i use us 2 at once routinely, 3rd pc svaila le if needed. When I started registering the item and assigning oreferences, and getting wifi set up, I had to get my old wired keyboard to get set up because I couldn't pair the keyboard it came with until I was logged in and able to get to blutooth setting. I tried hooking it up by the usbc to usb cable that came with the computer, but it did not find the keyboard. So if you are a first time buyer with no old keyboard around, I'm not sure how you'd get this set up. The keyboard and mouse have a good feel and layout of keyboard and size are standard and good response from the buttons. Once up and operating. This does all I need. Excellent picture can play some graphics intensive games like Beam NG and Forza 5, does that well. The sound…it is great. I set up dolby atmos and my music and games float around me and volume can get very loud. It has many connectors (usb x 2, usbc x 2, hdmi, and 3.5mm mic jack ,no headphone no enthernet). I will utilize this for video conference days working from home and the camera is good enough for that. I have attached cd rom drives and played music and watch video, it does well. There is a build in wireless charger for my phone on the base, that will be great by freeing one of my outlets in my office I use to charge my phone. I really can't find much fault in the overall performance once I got this running. I will give this 4 out of 5 stars only because I can't give a 4.5. I am not going to deduct points for having to get my wired keyboard to set this up, but I am deduction a half point for having no physical book to walk me through setting up, and the qr code took me to a page that said not set up (no book or instructions there) if I had that, I'm sure it would have told me how to do set stuff up with just what came in the box. The instruction they do give you on the keyboard and mouse leave a lot to be desired. The other ½ point off come from being a Non touchscreen. I'm able to live without it, but I think it's a missed opportunity to showcase how great the screen is and it wpuld have had a soft touch keyboard. The screen does have good colors and hdr. I do reccomend this to others. This is a good brand (my last 2 phones have been lenovo/motorola) and my brother has a laptop Yoga that does well. If you want might in a small space, this cam help. No qualms about performance.

Dishonest and Poor Service

I was told that Best Buy would buy back my old computers from the office and a printer that I had as well. That was not true, after my purchase I was informed that they could only take them for free. I was going to buy my new PC's regardless, so lying wasn't even necessary.
Also, the keyboard and mouse didn't work on one of our PC's and I was told that they couldn't get me a new set. They could only offer the display set that had a broken button. Dishonest and poor customer service overall. I will not be making any more purchases from this store. I have over $5,000 in purchases for my office and am stuck with a broken keyboard on a brand new out of the box PC!

Lenovo’s Yoga AIO 9i is More-In-One!
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
All-in-ones have certainly come a long way. In my experience, I went from avoiding them initially as the earlier perception was the loss of both CPU and screen should issues arise. They are now just as robust and durable as acquiring the two units individually with the added advantages of saving space and decluttering in one swoop! Lenovo’s Yoga AIO 9i all-in-one seeks to do just that with some additional tricks up its sleeves.
Packaged content:
• Yoga AIO 9i (32”)
• Power adapter (170W)
• Mouse
• Keyboard
• USB-C to USB-A cable (for charging mouse and keyboard)
• USB-C to USB-C cable (for Display Port)
• Quick Start Guides
The Yoga AIO 9i boasts a 31.5” UHD IPS display capable of a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160, making it 4K. It is glossy/highly reflective but sadly not a touchscreen. The sheer size brings about endless possibilities of multitasking: streaming content while browsing or continuing work in another app while on a video conference are just a few to mention. Bezels are narrow and a 5MP IR camera with a dual microphone array housed at the top. Videos and pictures are brilliantly reproduced, and audio captured with clarity. There is a switch/toggle at the base for physically shutting off the camera as an added security measure. The display maintains a fixed height but is capable of tilt.
Storm Grey, the color of the Yoga AIO 9i, is truly stunning in person. Typical all-in-ones look like monitors with some depth to the screen to house the PC. The Yoga AIO 9i departs from this convention by keeping the display thin and moving the PC to the base of the stand. The Yoga AIO 9i easily becomes the centerpiece in any room it is placed. The design is extremely simplistic which adds an artistic aura.
In the base, or what would be “under the hood” is a 13th generation Intel Core i9 processor clocked at 4.10Ghz and capable of reaching 5.40Ghz. This processor, with assistance from the 16GB LPDDR5 onboard RAM, delivers performance that is quick and an enjoyable experience. Sadly, the RAM is soldered on ruling out upgrade options. My unit shipped with a 512GB M.2 SSD that suggests upgrade potential. An integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card is more than adequate for day-to-day tasks and delivers decent gameplay. The operating system is Windows 11 Home. Communication is achieved through Wi-Fi 6E architecture and Bluetooth 5.1, both of which are extremely fast with the right architecture or devices and backward compatible with older standards. In the base are a pair of 2W tweeters and another pair of 5W woofers, all by Harman Kardon. I found the bass to be lacking but I would not expect a whole lot due to the compact form where the speakers are housed. A cool feature the Yoga AIO 9i has is the ability to wirelessly charge compatible devices (fast charging) on the base. An LED light illuminates accordingly depending on the charging state of the device. Even with a protection case on, my smartphone is able to fast charge wirelessly.
There are seven ports, a camera physical shutter switch/toggle and the power button on the base. A pair of seven vents flank the ports on either side. Below are the provided ports on the rear:
• Power adapter DC in
• HDMI 2.1 (out)
• USB-A 3.2 (two provided)
• USB-C 3.2 (full function i.e., Display Port-in, audio, data transfer and power charging)
• USB-C 4.0 (Display Port-out and data transfer)
• Headphone/microphone (3.5mm)
The keyboard and mouse communicate via a USB-A dongle that must remain plugged in effectively leaving users with only one USB-A port. On the positive, USB hubs are widely available to facilitate port expansion. Keyboard and mouse design very much compliment the premium build of the Yoga 9 AIO 9i. They are both rechargeable and charged via the included USB-C to USB-A cable. The keyboard is also deceptively heavier than it looks. As previously stated, both devices communicate with the PC via a USB-A dongle that can be stored in the mouse for travel. The mouse scroll wheel has four directions of movement and there are two side keys for additional navigational functions. Keystrokes provide satisfying feedback. The keyboard angle can also be adjusted if needed. Sadly, keys are not backlit but then again not that many desktops come with that feature, especially if they are battery powered. There are dedicated keys for audio control (volume, play, pause and mute), internet browser, toggling open windows, search, notification area and snipping tool. There are additional keys, P1 through P4 that are programmed for calculator, minimize/maximize, all open tabs/desktops and settings. Both devices offer versatility through the ability to pair with two devices each and these connections established via a toggle.
An added benefit for all-in-ones is their ability to serve as an additional screen for projection. The included USB-C cable works flawlessly with my laptop and the full function USB-C 3.2 port. It should be noted that all USB-C cables are not the same; only the included cable (which I believe supports both audio and video) supports the projection. Once the connection is made from an appropriate Display Port-out to the Yoga AIO 9i’s Display Port-in USB C port, content displays automatically. In addition to the massive and beautiful real estate you get, the keyboard and mouse of the Yoga 9 AIO 9i become the input devices for the connected laptop. In other words, the Yoga AIO 9i acts in a docking station capacity when this connection is made allowing the keyboard and mouse to control the linked laptop while it is charged in the process. This feature, if not for anything, could be one of the most useful additions for any all-in-one. Bravo, Lenovo!
Lenovo Vantage is an app that provides an overview of several aspects of the device covering security, productivity, support, warranty coverage etc. Lenovo Voice is another packaged application that can act as a translator, convert voice to text, generate subtitles and accept voice commands. Lenovo Go Portal provides another resource for reference manuals, support, purchase of user replaceable parts, downloadable drivers, and software. Lenovo Smart Storage allows users to backup/store data on their Yoga AIO 9i. Overall, bloatware is kept to a minimum in my opinion.
Now for the wish list (future iterations, perhaps?) An upgradeable RAM would be the icing on the cake for most. As much as 16GB may sound, the potential upgrade to 32GB or perhaps even 64GB would be very well received in my opinion. Coming in a close second would be a touch-enabled screen, just for those moments and tasks where clicks or keystrokes just do not deliver the same experience. I am still on the fence about the built-in rechargeable batteries for the keyboard and mouse. It is a great idea and I must disclose, my first experience so thus my anxiety. On the plus side, both devices do charge quickly and these devices do tend to go for months before batteries are depleted so should last a while. Finally, a trackpad/mouse on the keyboard would also be useful.
Overall, Lenovo’s Yoga AIO 9i can be summed up as an artistic masterpiece that happens to be a full-fledged PC. It has a premium feel and appears well-built. The stunning display, packaged processor, RAM and storage configurations should make it futureproof or relevant for several years. I recommend.

When you first see the Yoga 9I it's a sight to behold. The stylish design looks just as good in your home office as it does in a luxury office.
The 31.5 inch 4K monitor is brilliant and crisp although the glossy finish can be a little reflective. Unfortunately, there is not an auto brightness setting that I can find. It will light up a room at night. Also note, this is not a touch screen as indicated in the description.
The Yoga comes with a decent keyboard and mouse which share a single dongle that's hidden inside the mouse. They also have bluetooth settings and can switch between two additional devices so once you set up the PC with the dongle, you can switch to bluetooth and get your USB port back.
The base contains the PC part of the unit and this has a 13th generation Intel I9-13900H that has 14 cores and 20 threads. There are 16 gigs of Ram and a 512 gig SSD which make this a very snappy computer. Programs are fast and responsive.
For the geeks the Yoga 9I gets a Geekbench single-core score of 2763 and multi-core score of 13212 and a Cinebench multi-core score of 15996. Heat is handled well. I got the fans to spin up and at top speed you can hear them but they were not obnoxious.
There is a wireless charger on the top of the base, a nice touch.
There are two USB A and two USB C ports along with an HDMI port on the back of the base for added connectivity. Interestingly, one of the USB C ports is video in and the other is video out so you can connect a laptop to share the screen. One downside is the location of the ports. Being located in the rear of the machine is nice for aesthetics however, functionally, it can be difficult to access and will require the unit to not be flush against the back wall of a desk.
The 5MP front facing camera does great with Windows Hello, however I found that for pictures and video calls it's just ok. There is a camera shutoff switch on the front right side of the base for privacy.
Speakers sound great. There are speakers in the base and a subwoofer on the back of the screen. Volume gets loud enough to fill a room if you’re watching videos or listening to music. There is also Dolby Atmos for both PC Speakers and headphones to enhance your listening.
Lenovo pre-installed its Lenovo Vantage program which gives you an at-a-glance of your system and some settings along with your warranty information. I don't know if this is designed as a one size fits all program or if it's specific to each unit however, it seems to show the PC as a laptop (which it pretty much is).
Unfortunately, repairability is minimal. According to the manual, there are no personal repairable parts in the Yoga. You can not upgrade the ram on these but if you are inclined, you can upgrade/replace the M.2 SSD however, it is buried pretty deep in the base and not something for the weak at heart to attempt - it requires a pretty thorough tear down. You can find the repair manual on the Lenovo support site.
Overall I think the Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i is sophisticated elegance and will look and work great in your home office or reception desk.

Looks Like a Piece of Art

This Lenovo - Yoga AIO 9i 31.5" All-In-One - Intel Core i9 - 16GB Memory + 512GB SSD in storm grey is literally in a class of its own..It arrived very well packaged and as soon as I saw it I understood why. This unit is so unique in design and manufacture, literally a work of art in its own right. I am a CPA and all most of my desktops are made up with the usual monitor and black box console, no matter their size. I even have an all-in-one by another well-known competitor that is utilitarian looking, too. However, the design of this Lenovo all-in-one took my breath away and the aesthetics are simply astounding. So, the contents of the box come with the all-in-on and a Lenovo wireless rechargeable keyboard and mouse, all that you need to get started and beyond. By the way, this is the first Lenovo computer that I have ever owned.
The 8 step buyer reading instructions are very specific on not only how to take the unit out of the box, but step by step on how to remove the wrapping and even carry it from place to place so as not to do any injury. I have given this unit a place of honor on my desk and I cannot help but to repeat myself that it is like a statue of art. The set up was easy peasy, which is important to me because I am not an IT person and do not have one on retainer either. There is a tutorial that takes you through the set up of this unit. The WiFi seamlessly identified my available networks and immediately connected as soon as I put in my password.
The 31.5" monitor is brilliant and beautiful to watch, easy on the eyes. The keyboard and mouse require you plugging the USB and at first I did not realize where that was in its box, dumb me. Lenovo has already installed its advantage program that monitors the unit. All of the ports are in the storm grey base and that base is more than sufficient to anchor the 31.5" base. This SSD is whisper quiet. I do wonder how easily repairable this unit might be because of access in the base to get to the working parts..Oddly, although the monitor has a wide wing span because of its size, the base does not take up much real estate on your desk or tabletop. I have had many programs open at once with multiple pages and there has been plenty of computing power without program interruption. I think this is a good investment.

Large. Light. FAST.

Large. That’s the first thing that came to mind when I unboxed this beast. Light. That was the second thing that came to mind as I lifted it out of the box. Powerful. That was the third thing that came to mind when I powered it up and began the Windows 11 installation and configuration. But let’s start from the beginning.
When I opened the box, it was apparent that a lot of thought had been put into protecting the product during shipping. The entire product is held in the center of the box via closed-cell foam to protect against shock and vibration during shipping. Once I removed it from the box, and removed the foam pieces, I got my first look at the aesthetics. In a word, wow. The 32” screen is huge. Once I powered it on, I got the first real look at the quality of the display. It’s impressive, to say the least (there’s a calibration document inside the box that speaks to the color fidelity). Windows setup was quick, given the processor is a 13th Generation Intel® Core™ i9-13900H (aka Raptor Lake) with 16 GB DDR5 6400 MHz and a blazing-fast 512GB PCIe4 NVMe SSD. I have WiFi 6E here at home and got excellent speed with the Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX & Bluetooth® 5.1 combo module. Once setup, I had a chance to install a few apps and try things out. I can say that you will not be disappointed with the performance of this machine!
Other items of interest include a 5MP IR/RGB camera with a Dual Array Microphone, along with an electronic shutter to enforce privacy. In terms of I/O, there is (1) HDMI 2.1 output, (2) USB-A 3.2 Gen 2,
(1) USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, (1) USB-C 4.0, and a jack for a combination Headphone / mic. Also comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Extremely happy with this purchase. Love the size of the screen and the ease of use to set up from my old laptop. The screen is large, just make sure you have enough room on your desk. I did a lot of comparison and with the i9 processor / 16gb +512gb it is a very good value.

I absolutely love this AIO!!! The screen size is fantastic, lots of memory, I love the fact that I don't have to but batteries for the mouse and keyboard like I have to do for my HP, and it's in my favorite color.
I was disappointed that it wasn't touch screen but I can overlook that, I'm also disappointed that the wireless charging base isn't working for me; I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with that feature or not.
All in all it's a great PC, I'm glad I purchased it and I would recommend.

I love my computer, and especially the larger size. The only odd thing is I have to sit back quite far to make it so the camera (which you have to buy with this model) can show a reasonable body portion for zoom meetings--not just my head at the bottom of the screen.
As far as function and features, it's fast, efficient, and so nice to have it all synced up with everything. Love it!

My Lenovo idea center finally failed aft 6 years of great reliable usage, so I stuck with the Lenovo brand. I haven't been disappointed; the setup was seamless. The only complaint I have (and others have as well) was the instructions for the Bluetooth keyboard/mouse was a bit confusing, but, of course some kind soul on Youtube made a video that solved that issue. The unit is very quiet due to the SSD and it is a very sexy PC. Very quick to load pages and apps. I had hoped it had an ethernet jack, but it connected seamlessly with my wifi. Very pleased with the purchase.

I went in fix on buying a dell but was struck by features and online ratings for the Lenovo so I bought it. It has put smiles on my face in most every way. The screen resolution and incredible speaker system were unexpected. The i9 chip is incredibly speedy. Will be a long, long time before I buy another computer. Oh yeah, the 31.5 inch screen opens up new possibilities.

Great Computer - poor open-box experience

The machine itself really is incredible. While it has its downsides (USB accessibility), the screen is incredible and the machine overall just very responsive.
HOWEVER, this was the second of these machines that I purchased open box - excellent that was either damaged via the mail or came damaged prior. The first machine's base (the computer itself) was broken open with tempered glass everywhere. The second one I received also has cracking, though it less significant.
Both computers came packaged VERY poorly. Both were in non-original boxes and were loosely wrapped in plastic - no styrofoam to limit damage.
Overall, neither of these machines should have been listed as excellent, OR the shipping stores should have been far less lazy in their packaging and assessment of the machine.
I LOVE the computer. I just am extremely disappointed in the open-box system, really, for the first time.
