The Most Innovative Laptop I’ve Owned

I’ve been using the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i for a few months now, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The dual 13.3" 2.8K OLED screens are absolutely stunning—colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and it makes multitasking feel natural and futuristic. Having two screens built in changes the way I work; I can keep notes or research on one screen while working on the other without needing an external monitor.
Performance has been solid with the Intel i7 and 16GB RAM. It handles heavy multitasking, streaming, and even light editing without lag. The 1TB SSD makes storage worry-free and super fast. The build quality is premium, and the Tidal Teal finish looks unique and stylish.
The detachable keyboard and folio kickstand add flexibility, making it great for productivity on the go. It takes a little time to get used to the dual-screen workflow, but once you do, it’s hard to go back to a single screen laptop.
Battery life is good considering it’s powering two OLED displays, and I’ve been able to get through a workday with moderate use.
Overall, this is not just another laptop—it’s a portable dual-screen workstation. Perfect for students, professionals, and anyone who loves having more screen real estate. Highly recommended!

For the time that it actually worked it was great. However, This is the 3rd time I have purchased this computer and each one has failed. The top screen of the dual screen stops working on each computer and I end up having to contact Lenovo before returning it to Best Buy. They claim the software has failed and needed to be reinstalled. They sent me USB drive(s) with the OS for each computer, but I continue to get a failure message at the end of the installation. This system doesn’t seem to recognize the second screen after a while and just quits. I had the one for only 2 weeks before it failed. Not even the back light turns on after numerous attempts to turn it on and off. I will be returning this one to Best Buy and I’m done. Do not buy this computer. They need to do more engineering on this concept before releasing a finishing product. This is so disappointing.

It's definitely not perfect (for me, mostly due to the fact that it runs Windows OS and the problems that come with that), but after using this there's no going back to laptops that only come with one screen. I love the physical look, the OLED screen quality and screen brightness, the cross-browsing feature, the bluetooth keyboard, the pen and the "book mode." I especially love the ability to mirror the screens and then share what I'm looking at with someone else using tent mode. This is perfect for school or work, though probably not for people who need something that is very high-performing. But I use it daily for work and leisure.
--
Cons:
-The stand is kind of weak/awkward. There's definitely an assumption you will use it on a stable/steady surface, like a desk or table, whereas I love to use my laptop in bed. It doesn't work great for "book mode" on a surface like the bed--definitely have to worry about this falling over.
-A bit heavy.
-I have yet to get anywhere near 7 hours of battery life when it's unplugged. More like 4 hours, at best. I am one of those people who uses tons of browsers and tabs, so maybe that's why. But I doubt it. Just beware that you're not guaranteed 6-7 hours, especially if you also use a lot of open browsers/tabs.
-Not enough USB ports (just 3).
-Doesn't play well with Windows yet, so you get typical Windows issues on top of the incompatibility issues. For example, using this in laptop mode with the on-screen touch keyboard, some files and browsers will open up or remain open underneath the keyboard. The only way to access them is to close out of the keyboard.
I also personally had to do system repair a ton of times within the 1st 3 weeks of having this laptop. Windows Update made it stop working properly, trying to update the drivers for the displays caused issues with rotation not working, etc. Now when I try to stream sports games, the performance is not smooth (one of the issues I've had this whole time that led to trying Windows Update and such), but I'm kind of scared to try to get the right drivers at this point because it just always seems to cause a new issue. I literally can plug in a different monitor via USB, and the streaming performance is better on it than on the displays that come with this laptop.
Also, every time I've done system repair, something that worked before on the laptop would not work afterwards. Like now, closed caption through the Chrome browser refuses to work the way it did before. Another time, the User Center would keep crashing, so I couldn't turn on the cross-browsing functionality.
Definitely wish this came with a Mac OS or something other than Windows.
-As a woman, I find this kind of awkward to pick up when it's open with both screens. It's very easy to touch something you don't want to touch when trying to pick up this unit since they're both touchscreens. If you watch YouTube videos on this laptop, they make it seem like handling it is easier than it is.
-A bit slow, i.e. loading pages in browsers and such.
-It gets really hot, which is an issue when you use it on your laptop in traditional laptop mode.
-The on-screen touch keyboard is fairly hard to use. Personally, it seems like it needs too much touch, i.e. you have to press down/hit the keys hard for it to register the touch. I haven't been able to find a setting to adjust the touch sensitivity at which it'll register key strokes, but that would be a great feature.
-Tent mode is a bit finnicky re: mirroring and sharing what I'm looking at with someone else, especially after doing system repair. It can be hard to get one of the screens to display in the correct orientation, i.e. not upside down.
-Obviously, cost.
--
All that said, I think getting two screens makes the price worth it. And despite the cons, I still really love the laptop--it's hard to hate having 2 really bright screens in one and a bunch of different modes and features. I do wish I could get the 7+ hours on battery that everyone claims they get, but that's something I've never really had on a laptop anyway and, so, don't really miss. Still, it'd be nice to watch games in different places without being married to a plugged-in AC adapter. The worst thing, for me, is the streaming problems with sports because that's one of my main uses for the laptop. I should not have to hook up lesser monitors for smoother streaming.

Great Form Factor for Daily Workflow

The Yoga Book 9i is a great laptop for my daily workflow in the office and out and about. Its certainly not a powerhouse but great for basic work: email, web, remote access, browsing, and document work. I hope future versions have more RAM, 16GB is minimalistic. 32GB option is really needed. A more powerful CPU would be greatly appreciated to do more creative work. Maybe the new Snapdragon X next year would allow all of these improvements and increase battery life. On more improvement would be to prividecthe provide a way for the included keyboard to magnetically connect when using tge laptop on tge srand with tge screens in either landscape or portrat position for maintaining charge as tge kebiard battery doesnt last long enough on a charge compared to a logitech mx or mx kini keyboard.

I love this computer. It looks and sounds great. My problem is the first one I received had a hairline crack in the screen when I received it- Best Buy took it back and replaced it. The 2nd one I have has been great for the past month but as of this last week the keyboard isn't working and I might have to take this one back in. Lenovo needs to update their UI, when you place the keyboard on the bottom screen and have the info panels pop up the weather is in Chinese and you can't configure those panels- which should be an easy feature for them to implement- bad UX. I still love the double touch screens, the pen is great, and the stand is fantastic. Its just not perfect and at this price point it should be.

Really enjoying this laptop!! The virtual keyboard takes some getting used to typing on, but really appreciate that Lenovo included a wireless keyboard in case its not for you. The box also included a bluetooth mouse, stand and stylus which all fod up neatly to keep everything together (except for the mouse). Super fast processor and lots of storage. I really enjoy having two screens wherever I go.

An Awesome Computer

This computer is amazing. I have always struggled using one screen with way too many tabs open while working and for personal use as well. To have two screens that I can multitask with is fantastic. I absolutely love this computer. I love using it in the horizontal pose with the two screens on the stand and the keyboard attached to the stand. The ability to use both screens to view all of the information you need is fantastic and it is quick to set up. I love that when I don't need both screens, it easily switches to laptop mode and is more portable. I highly recommend this computer if you would benefit from two screens for productivity and like cool new technology. Everything has worked great so far with no issues and I am having a blast working on my computer. The fact that it also comes with all of the accessories you need rather than forcing you to buy them separately makes the price more reasonable as the Surface line requires you to purchase the keyboard and pen separately, adding more cost to the overall price.

Thos is a great laptop its slim, has a nice color to it but are a few quirks and issues. The keyboard doesnt have back lighting to it, its almost impossible to upgrade the ssd drive on it, you cant upgrade the ram and it doesnt have a dedicated graphics card. You can multi tast but it will slow dow down especially if youre doing 3D designing on it. I love the favt that it comes with a mouse and the laptop stand when folded protects the wireless keyboard. The pen is very responsive. I just wish the pen was rechargeable. Itherwise its a fun laptop

An awesome computer and a must have no matter what kind of work you do. The dual screen is a game changer and once you use it you will never go back to a single screen. It is light weight and very easy to take with you where ever you go. The only knock against it is the keyboard is not backlit.

I have had this for 2 years now, and it is still in pristine condition. It took me a second to get used to having a detachable keyboard and two screens, but it was the best decision I made for grad school. I recommend it to anyone looking. I have only bought Lenovo Yoga-type laptops, and they never disappoint.
