Customers are satisfied with the Yoga Book C930 2-in-1 laptop's features except for the keyboard. While customers appreciate the laptop's portability and touchscreen capabilities, they find the keyboard to be flat and metallic, which affects the typing experience.

Let me start with this: "THIS DEVICE DOES NOT HAVE LTE" even thouh the best buy listing says it does. Form factor is amazing. The windows 10 side works just fine. But thats not what any of us are here for. Lets discuss the e-ink. My truly honest opinion is that it is just half baked right now. It can read pdfs but it is clunky. Can't annotate them at all. No epub/kindle support as of yet. I know they said epub was coming, but hopefully sooner than later. File management of the e-ink notes I take isn't integrated with windows at all. Have to copy and paste it into OneNote if i want to manage it at all which kind of ruins the point. There's no real way to organize the notes...it just has a list of the ones you make. LENOVO you need to give us a development roadmap of this e-ink side or else its a big gamble to keep this machine.
Other things worth mentioning: fingerprint reader is buggy. Battery life is as expected with something this small. Charging is slow. Otherwise, a very cool machine.

We are sorry to hear that the New Yoga Book C930 does not meet your expectations, because of some of the functionality with certain apps. There is a misprint on the Best Buy site, it is not LTE at this time. The Yoga Book C930 is unique in the PC world, designed to be very portable and have a very thin and light form factor with marathon battery life.(only 1.71 lbs.) With the e-link screen you can take notes and then convert them into text with One Note and organize them in a folder. With the press of a button, the E-Ink screen is your keyboard, notepad, and e-reader.

I had the first generation Yoga Book which was a nice portable 10 inch laptop with the main issue being a rather slow processor. This second generation Yoga Book has a much faster processor though the cost is up quite a bit. The unit runs well though don't expect to be reading ebooks on the eink keyboard. It only supports PDF. For some odd reason Lenovo did not decide to treat the eink as a second screen function so its capabilities are limited to the functions Lenovo provides. I like the light weight, small size, and portability of this Windows 10 computer. The reason I didn't give it more stars is first the finger print reader is crap and basically doesn't work. The first Yoga Book I bought I returned because you couldn't even register a finger print. This second one will register but is so inaccurate that it will never accept one to unlock. The second issue is in tablet mode to switch from the screen to eink and back you double tap on the surface you want. The issue is holding the device or resting it on a surface in tablet mode will occasionally result in a false double tap on the other surface causing the screen to switch. So like the first generation it's a niche product that still has buggy design issues. Buy it only if you want a Windows computer that's extremely portable and also able to function in tablet mode.

Great for traveling. This is a solid ultra thin and lightweight computer. It is less "clunky" than using a separate snap-on keyboard. The keyboard takes some getting used to and I wouldn't recommend this for long typing sessions but it's fine for emails and entering web addresses. The main advantage of the keyboard for me is it allows the whole unit to be so thin and light.

I bought this after waiting for months for it to become available. The keyboard is a flat, metallic membrane. This gives a remarkably thin presentation. I enjoyed playing with it and ultimately sold it for a good price on eBay. Nothing wrong with it, it's just that the keyboard didn't feel right. Without tactile feedback, keys get double-stroked or sometimes brushing over the keys activated them. Also 4GB RAM is too small for a Windows machine. 8GB is the minimum. Fun computer, but not practical.

This computer/tablet is intense. I have barely scratched the surface on its capabilities. it would be a great device for someone looking for more than just a tablet but something portal and fun. The keyboard takes some serious getting used to. if you intend to do a lot of typing or paper writing I would say this computer isn't for you. The pen has an excellent sensitivity.

This is a great computer. I was surprised to get the call from Best Buy that my preorder arrived early, last Thirsday 10/11. Keyboard works remarkably well. I was surprised to discover I could touch type without looking, as long as I looked at my hand's initial position. Performance is surprisingly good (bought this to replace my SP2017). I have installed all the Affinity apps, other Win 32 apps as well as a Java programming environment I use to develop Garmin smartwatch faces. All of which open and run better than on my 4gb ram Surface Pro. Any issues? Just a request really. Currently you cannot annotate a pdf. It absolutely needs the ability to annotate a pdf without doing screen shots. That is my only complaint. Well, that and the pdfs toc need to be hot/active, as they are on pdf apps like Xodo and Drawboard. Outside of that, very happy with is computer.

Wanted to Love It

I've been so excited about the Yoga Book c930 since I first heard about it earlier this June. I pretty much hopped on it as soon as it was available to buy. For context, I'm a student, and I've been on the hunt for a replacement tablet since my iPad Air is getting on in its years. My biggest pet peeve with the iPad was that there was no keyboard / stand solution that would be flexible enough for me: a keyboard case would add on extra weight, and it would be inconvenient to have the keyboard in front of me when I just wanted it to be propped up to use with touch. I also loved the idea of having a device that could be adjusted to any angle. Finally, I prefer reading on an eReader, since the screens hurt my eyes after spending a long time reading textbooks. This device seemed to solve all those problems. Though the price was high, I figured that the premium would be fine given its all-in-one function, and the fact that a full Surface Go set up isn't exactly as cheap as its advertised $399 price.
That said, I quickly found that the eInk functions are extremely limited, as other reviewers have mentioned below. You can't annotate in the PDFs, which is a huge problem for me. Notes can be jotted, but there's no organization and they basically needed to be copied to OneNote to have any functionality. Given the inherent slower speeds of eInk and these limitations, I noticed I would just go back to taking handwritten notes on the tablet screen instead, rendering the eInk screen basically useless except as a keyboard. Lenovo promises additional functionality in the future, but I'm not willing to wager $1.1k on something that's "yet to come," especially on my student budget. Finally, even on the tablet side, the palm rejection is a little questionable which, again, at this price point isn't something I want to just "deal with."
At the end of the day, I'm choosing to return my eagerly-anticipated C930 in exchange for a Surface Go, complete with the keyboard and pen. At the end of it, I'm saving over $400 for twice the amount of RAM and effectively the same functionality. I really wanted to love the C930, and I'm hoping Lenovo gives the Yoga Book some more features that will make this device the superstar it deserves to be.

Great innovation that will short lived

The previous Yoga Book, the predecessor of this YOGA BOOK C930 was a game changer. The idea of a touch keyboard on a laptop means future laptops can finally be waterproof. With that being said, it was a great product, and this one is a greater product. However, a thousand dollars for a laptop that is basically a netbook size or a tablet, is a joke. People who buy $1,000 laptop they do so as an investment because you can upgrade the RAM, Memory etc.,
With this all are sealed in. Now, let's get real.
How many people out there will spend more than 16 hours a day editing your works on a 10-inch screen?
How many gamers out there will spend 10-12 hours playing the latest game on a 10-inch screen?
How Many writers or blogger will type 10-20 thousand words per week using a 10-inch screen device with a touch screen keyboard?
How many professional photographers will spend four to seven hours editing customers wedding pictures on a small device such as this using Photoshop?
Even if you are a young person or a teenager who uses YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, how do you access these platforms? Basically, on your smart phone.
So then, who is the YOGA BOOK C930 for? Answer; everyone, BUT virtually no one can afford it, or no one will be willing to pay a thousand dollars for a 10-inch portable laptop which is basically a tablet running windows.
Great product, but Lenovo is way over their head with the price.
Bad business approach on Lenovo part.
Many years ago, Google came up with something new, something different, something totally cool. It was called G1, or Google Android phone, the first of its kind. There are far better android phones now, but at that time the G1 was the best, and Google made it in a way that almost everyone could own it. It was a high-end phone of its time, but it was affordable. Therefore, the power of Android lives on today, bigger and better than ever before.
I really hoped this was the case with the YOGA BOOK C930 because it is very unique. Unfortunately, a few years from now, no one will remember it because of the ridiculous high price tag.

I was fortunate enough to get this laptop yesterday, and first off, it is a very cool device. There's nothing else like it on the market. It's a fantastic upgrade from the original Yoga Book. Nice screen, excellent pen, 2 USB-C ports, and the E-Ink portion is very nice.
However, my rating is only Fair, because today, a line of dead pixels appeared on the E-ink display. I had barely used the device and when I opened a PDF on the E-ink display, I noticed a line. At first, I thought it was a bad PDF, but the line never went away. I've ordered another one, which will hopefully come next week, so, hopefully the next one won't have this problem.
