Im familiar with Lenovo products and have owned a few of them... This is an exception laptop/tablet hybrid with the quality and speed I've come to expect from Lenovo. Processor is super quick, loved it! Love the aluminum instead of plastic on this, really adds premium feel and look. HD screen is clear and crisp, battery life is great, especially for a 15.6" laptop. I like that there is a charging port on BOTH sides of the computer... its little, but it makes a difference, and I love it. Overall, I really like this... its become my go-to in my house. Fires up quick, maintains battery life, its there when I need it!

Bought this laptop yesterday via in store pick up and I have to say im more than throughly impressed with my purchase. From the sleek and light metal build, to the more than capable intel i5 processor and 8gb of RAM runs chrome OS like a dream. Wifi reception and speeds are great overall an enourmous upgrade for me from my aging 2011/12 toshiba windows laptop. The screen looks great too nice clear and bright display and while battery seems really good so far hadnt even had the laptop for 24 hours yet but so far with me being a power user its holding up really well. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the omission of a backlit keyboard, with everything this laptop has to offer a backllit keyboard would just made this laptop perfect for not just me but for anybody but then again no device is perfect. Overall im loving this laptop and think it will be a really good buy for students in college looking for some more power out of their laptop but not trying to break the 1000$ territory.

One of the Best Chromebooks Thus Far!

This is my 2nd Chromebook as I needed a laptop for my new business that could serve me at the office and on the road. I needed a minimum 15" screen with at least 4GB of Ram as my other book only had 2GB and slowed considerably when multi-tasking. This IS about the perfect Chromebook as it can serve as a PC or Tablet, battery lasts a day and built well. My only complaint is not about the laptop itself, but the Android software that limits all Chromebooks. 1) Chromebooks do not auto-orient based on how you hold it as a tablet, 2) You still cannot attach a printer and must send to another PC, 3) There is NO CAPS LOCK button (The search button is worthless), 4) Graphics on Android apps look dreadful on a large screen. Google needs to get with it if they're looking to dominate the mobile market. Until they can address their OS flaws, Chromebooks will always be users last choice for a laptop.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C630 Chromebook. With regard to auto rotate for your screen, here is a link to adjusting settings within the Chrome Operating System, see if this will solve the problem:  https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht101078. Regarding printing from a Chromebook, you need to install the Google Cloud Print App to the Chromebook. Here is a link to instructions for the installation of Google Cloud Print and how to use it:  https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/how-to-set-up-google-print-on-your-chromebook. There is a key combination for Chromebooks for the CAP LOCK function: Hit Alt + search (the magnifying glass or Assistant icon), the latter of which is in the place you'd look for a Caps Lock key. You'll see an arrow appear on the bottom right notifications bar and a pop-up will alert you that Caps Lock is on. 2. Tap Shift to turn off Caps Lock. The Lenovo C630 Chromebook ships with a IPS LCD w/LED Backlight (Anti-glare) screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) and a brightness level of 300 nits. Lenovo

The Lenovo Yoga C630 Chromebook is a great machine. It's powerful, has great battery life (around 10 hours of web surfing), and has a solid feel thanks to the aluminum frame. The Intel Core i5 processor and 8 Gb of memory means this machine can perform. Web surfing, word processing, and heavy spreadsheet processing don't slow this thing down. The fully hinged display is great if you want to go into "tablet" mode. The touch screen is responsive and fluid. The device is a little on the large side, but not so much so you can't travel with it. If you are looking for an affordable powerhouse Chromebook, look no further.

The Lenovo Yoga C630 2 in 1 Chromebook is a decent laptop that does everything you would need for basic computing needs, but lacks a lot of customization that windows allows because of the Android OS. I think if you're reading this review you're already aware its a Chromebook, so I'm not going to really harp on what I think of googles OS and rather more on the laptop itself. The Chromebook is slick with a brushed metallic blue color. The screen is crisp and bright at 15 inches and text is easy to read. The device is light and has a touchscreen with a keyboard that can be folded back. Personally I don't ever use this feature, but to each his own. There is 8gb of ram and a snappy Flash 128gb SD style hard drive so everything boots up within seconds. Battery life is particularly good on this model and has a built in webcam and sd card reader slot. The core i5 processor handles more than is really needed for the Chromebook to function so everything is snappy and responsive. Honestly if you're interested in a chromebook you can't really go wrong with this model, for the average user it does everything you need to do from emails, to chrome web browsing, to documents and excel in Googles form. Just don't expect it to play fortnite, lol. All in all I would recommend it!

The Lenovo Yoga Convertible Chromebook is elegantly designed to function as either a powerful laptop or tablet. It has the system memory, feature set, and processing power to handle my daily productivity and entertainment needs with ease. --Setup-- Was as simple as charging it for a short time and turning it on. I was then prompted to sign on to my Wi-Fi network and then Google. I already have a Google account, so my saved settings synced right up, and I was up and running immediately. Included is a 45-watt power brick that attaches to a USB C charging cord. Because USB C is becoming widespread I don't have to bring the power brick with me on the go and can instead charge it with the same power adapter that I use for my phone, wireless earbuds, and Bluetooth speaker. Using a phone or tablet power adapter will charge slower but is a useful trade off for the added versatility. --Design and Features- There are four different modes: Notebook, Stand, Tent, and Tablet. I found the Stand, Tent, and Tablet orientations to be especially useful for watching videos and using Apps. The display orientation automatically adjusts when the laptop is transformed to a different mode. Lenovo cleverly placed one USB C port on both the right and left side. Both can take a charge, so the charging side can be adapted to the side has an available power outlet. The battery charges fully in a few hours and lasts the rated 10 hours. The flash hard drive greatly improves the system speed. If you have never used one before you will immediately notice the improvement as opposed to a solid state hard drive. The screen is 1080P HD capable. The color, contrast, and sharpness are superb. Exactly what I would expect at this price point. The touch screen is responsive and works well. Above the numbers keys are a row of dedicated shortcut keys. They are: Back, Forward, Reload, Full Screen, Switch, Brightness Up/Down, Mute, Volume Down/Down, Lock, and Search. The dual band wireless adapter worked flawlessly and was able to provide a very strong connection. --Build Quality and Appearance- The build quality is impressive. The aluminum chassis makes it thin, light, and easy to handle. The color (midnight blue) is a very attractive blue/gray hue. --Verdict- Equipped with processing power and system memory that far exceed the minimum requirements for the Chrome Operating System, this hybrid laptop/tablet is an excellent choice for the user that wants premium performance, capability, and features.

I propped the lid open and seconds later the unit was done booting. After entering my email address and password I was ready to get to work ( or play). The 4.1 Bluetooth paired easily with my powered speakers and a few other devices. The built in WiFI linked up quickly too. Bright super high definition large screen with 10-point touch screen for gestures when used as a touch pad. Can be flipped into a tent for sitting on the table, great when viewing videos or photos or presentations. Nice sounding speakers are on the bottom just under the wrist rest. One wish, allow for use with a fine point Bamboo or equivalent pen input. Otherwise the touch screen works great. Okay two, backlight the keyboard on future products when the power cord is inserted and charging. Cool SUB-C power input for charging is the future data charging port. Comes with a USB 3 and a USB C port and micro sim for downloading photos extra storage. Great midnight blue colored case is super thin and lightweight. Battery lasted all day. OS self updates weekly so virus protection is also updated. Runs most android apps, and works great with my pixel phone.

What's in the box ----------------- Lenovo Yoga C630 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Chromebook - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 128GB eMMC Flash Memory Power adapter Ports ----- 2 x USB-C USB 3.0 MicroSD slot Headphone/mic combo Pros ---- 1. Its very well built all aluminum design. Its is slightly heavier than the 15 inch macbook pro 2. Gorgeous Full HD screen with almost edge less display 3. Excellent Battery life 4. Very fast, its my first time with chrome OS, the combination of the OS with SSD makes this blazing fast. 5. Google Play apps. Cons ----- 1. No back lit keyboard 2. Need more USB ports. 3. No HDMI port. The Review ---------- This is my first time using chrome OS/Chromebook and I have to admit that I have been pleased. I was not sure why the earlier versions of the laptops that came out with this OS were really cheaply made. I think that Chrome is a good operating system and the stigma associated with the OS that its a brick offline is no longer true. I can use my google docs, play movies, songs etc all offline and once I connect online, the data syncs up with the cloud. I also get 100GB of free cloud for 2 years with this laptop. Setup - It was very straight forward as it is on an android phone, everything ties to your email and you setup the machine using your email address. Installing apps from play store works the same way as your phone. Usage - The laptop is very well built and it can be used as a regular laptop or a tablet as it is touch screen. it also can be used in tent mode for watching movies. Track pad and the keyboard quality is comparable to my Dell Inspiron and I think it will last long. The Intel i5 along with the chrome OS with 8GB of RAM really makes it powerful. I can run multiple tabs on chrome running different applications and it performs very well without any lag. My son loves talking tom run and installed it for him. The performance on the game was very smooth. I am pleased. The battery life is very good, much better than the dell inspiron 7000 that I currently also own. I was able to get 8 hours out of the battery. Charging is through a type C port and there are one on either side. I could use my phone charger to charge it so its very convenient. I wish there were more USB ports on this as laptop thankfully there is a micro sd slot and you can buy a 256gb micro sd card and increase the hard drive just in case you run out of cloud space. Finally, I think lenovo came out with a very usable, sturdy and worthy chromebook. I will recommend it!

So, I've been testing out this Lenovo Yoga Chromebook C630 for the last 5 days or so and it's decent at best. First off, it arrived really fast. Selected on Wednesday and got it on Friday. Upon opening the package I noticed that the laptop was not as secure as I thought it was. Only thing inside was the power cable, and a folded poster size user guide (single sheet). That was it. Very basic packaging and very basic instructions that fit all on one piece of paper. Powering up the Chromebook is pretty self explanatory. Once it loaded up, to get started I logged in under my gmail email and voila it was ready to go. Very simple and very basic which is not necessarily a bad thing. If you've ever updated the Google Chrome browser before, updating this Chromebook follows the same process as it's built completely around Chrome and Android. Browsing and connecting to the internet was just as easy and any other laptop. The Yoga C630 can flip into different positions from the standard laptop position to using it as a tablet. Google Play store, as well as Books, Games, Movies, and Music are all pre-installed as well as Google Drive, YouTube, Gmail, and Google Docs, Photos, etc. You can download other apps and programs via the Google Play store that are compatible with this laptop. You can also download and install extensions for the Google Chrome Browser Battery life was surprisingly good. I usually stay on power cord on my laptops but just to test how long it could go I unplugged it yesterday and got a pretty decent amount of time without having to worry about plugging it back in anytime soon. It lasted almost all day, which is good considering my day was over when it needed to be charged again. And speaking of charging, charging time seemed to be around a couple of hours or so. Not very long if that. Another area that makes this Chromebook shine is the amazing Full High Definition display. Any high-def wallpaper looks amazing on this screen. I also like the fact that it also for an open and clear work-space on the desktop. Great for displaying pictures of your family and/or pets without those great shots being hidden behind tons of icons. One area that I think Lenovo fell flat in was audio quality. At top volume level, the sound quality of the speakers on this laptop is very very low. Almost non-existent. Not sure if this is a simple software issue or a hardware issue. The speakers are located on the bottom of the laptop (when its in standard position). This may be a dealbreaker for some, however, can be remedied by having a small bluetooth speaker. Keyboard response is pretty spot on, however, keys tend to get greasy somewhat. I do wish the keyboard layout was a tad wider for my large hands but I got used to its layout fairly quickly. However, this particular model has one downside that I absolutely hate, and that's not having a Backlit Keyboard. I searched and searched and searched over the last few days thinking I must have missed it somehow, but according to the specifications, this particular model lacks that feature. I do not understand why Lenovo chose to leave that feature out on this model. Makes it harder to use the laptop in the dark unless you've a small desk lamp nearby. A couple other perks of this laptop are the addition of 2 USB-C ports, a regular standard USB port, along with a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack. A high definition camera with microphone are also front and center at the top of the laptop. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right side of the laptop. I would recommend this laptop for a first time Chromebook user or anyone looking for something without all of the bells and whistles that come other major laptops. This will also make are great computer for someone in high school or starting out at college. Decent overall, just need some tweaking on the sound quality.

I've been a steady macOS user for many years now. My main computer has been the 2016 MacBook Pro for the past couple of years now and while I end up using a Windows machine at work and sometimes a Windows machine at home for various tasks, macOS is my standard operating system of choice. With that said, I do enjoy learning other systems and exploring what different operating systems have to offer. I've been most intrigued with Chromebooks since that system makes you operate almost entirely 'in the cloud'. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to use a Lenovo Yoga laptop and so when the option to try out the Lenovo C630 Chromebook, I jumped at it. Lenovo makes a solid machine and I was eager to test it out. STYLE: The laptop feels awesome. The keyboard is responsive and the body of the computer is substantial. The laptop does have a bit of weight to it, but it looks sleek and it is still quite portable. PERFORMANCE: I will typically run a benchmarking software with a new system, but because the Chromebook is web-based, I was unable to install anything to check any benchmarking scores. I did end up finding an online option for benchmarking called Octane. There was a note on the website that mentioned that Octane had been discontinued and even though I was able to get a score from it, I'm not sure how accurate the score is or where it makes the system stand up against other laptops. I ran several apps and used the cloud-based apps (Google Docs, etc.) for several hours and found that the Chromebook was blazing fast. The system was very responsive and didn't hesitate to do anything I asked it to do. BATTERY LIFE: I've been very happy with the battery's performance. While I'ven't used the laptop for 10 hours straight yet, I've used it for several hours at a time and found that power wasn't a problem. TOUCHSCREEN: While I really enjoy having the touchscreen as an option, it isn't very practical for tasks other than scrolling and drawing. It is quite responsive, and I would even liken it to an iPad's touch screen, but typing on it just isn't very practical. Overall, the Lenovo Yoga C630 is a very capable laptop. I really love how the ChromeOS makes you rethink how your workflow is structured. I love utilizing cloud services and a Chromebook definitely makes you rethink that.

    Detailed Look

I've been looking through different Chrome Books trying to find a replacement for my old chrome book as it's over 3 years old and won't get some of the new features that I want out of the Chrome OS. With this said, I read many reviews before taking the chance on this particular Chrome Book. The initial review that sparked my interest is how the review compared this Pixel Book which is a high comparison given Google's dedication to the platform shown in that system. I've not owned a Pixel Book, but have read many reviews on it. With this said, let's go into the review: 1) Look and Feel: Compared to the Chrome Books I've owned in the past and many I've seen, I love the premium feel of it. It has a great smooth alloy feel to the outside. It has that industrial look that I love and not the cheaper feel of the plastic used on some of the Chrome Books. I've had it for over a week and opened it in various positions and tested the different modes. In each of the Yoga positions, the device looks wonderful. It switches positions with an ease I expect, but is sturdier in each position than I originally anticipated given it's weight. It is much lighter than my old Chrome Book. I've had no issues with any defects on the device. 2) Screen/Touch: The touch screen has been very responsive in all of the tests. This includes on Linux Apps, Android Apps, and Chrome Apps. The screen is much larger than my previous chrome book and is beautiful. The resolution of this device is amazing. You can definately tell it's a high definition screen and the crispness of it impresses me. I saw on a review earlier a complaint about being able to see pixels on browsing. I've used both the native Chrome and Android web Apps like Firefox Focus and have no idea what they were complaining about. The only issue I can see is that some of the Android Apps do not full screen well which is a known issue on any Chrome Book. Other than that, resolution makes the text a bit small at times, but it's typical of HD screens at this resolution. I've used the magnify feature on Chrome to help with this on some pages and the crispness has been great. 3) Performance: I've opened Linux Apps, Android Apps, and Chrome Apps simultaneously and the experience has been smooth. Minus the expected time to load multiple apps at the same time, it all runs quickly and is very responsive. There is no unexpected delays in it's performance 4) Battery Life: When you run the laptop continuously with apps running from all 3 platforms it will drain the battery quicker, but this should be expected. I've drained the battery in this device multiple times and the running time has been 8+ hours on each attempt with me multi-tasking. The charging for this device is a USB C plug which is very convenient as it's also the same as the LG V20 phone I've. 5) Wifi Connectivity: Some of the devices I've owned over time has struggled in this component. I was not expecting LTE (and it's not included) so I won't make any comments on that. I didn't buy this for LTE. The Wifi was able to quickly pick up both on the 2G and the 5G bands of common wifi systems. The signal strength has been excellent no matter where I've been in relation. It has exceeded my expectations in this category. For example, in my bedroom which is at the opposite side of the house from my Wifi Router normally gets about 2 bars for my other wifi enabled devices including my phone and other Android/Google devices. The Wifi Modem in this device allows it to be "strong" even in there. Overall: To get a good feel of any device, it's always recommended to spend more than 30 minutes with it especially if you want to know the ins and outs of something. Having taken a week of use with me using it as my primary computing device and trying to find faults, this device is one that I think will exceed your expectations of what a Chrome Book will be if you have been using others Chrome Books other than the Pixel Book. Will this device be able to compete against the Pixel Book? Short answer. Yes. For me, it was between this 2 in 1 and the Pixel book. The price comparison gives this one the edge and given how much I love this Chrome Book, it's hard for me to justify the extra money on what might be. It does what I want, what I might want to do, and what I need to do. Lenovo has done well making this device and impressed me. I am happy to say that I've found my new Chrome Book for years to come. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a performance computer at a fair value. Will it kill the Pixel Book? No. But why should it? It competes nicely and for that I am glad. Keep up the good work Lenovo!

Chromebooks are pretty amazing and after Google introduced their idea of a premium device many others have followed in suit. This Yoga chromebook is pretty great and I am glad that I have it. It is a step up from my previous device which had just half the specs this Yoga has to offer. That being said lets have a detailed look into the Lenovo Yoga chromebook 15.6. :::Hardware::: The Yoga CB has a lot to offer the screen is a FHD touchscreen display that has great colors and is a great size at 15.6. While this display size may be too big for some it is just right for those who have visual impairments. An 8th generation Intel i5 Quad core CPU is under the hood and oh boy is this fast. I was unable to slow down this Yoga CB no matter what I was doing thanks to the 8GB of DDR 4 Ram that works in tandem with the i5. As far as storage goes there is 128GB of on board storage. I really appreciate that because of the ability to install android apps they do tend to take up a lot of disk space due to the constant app updates. I put in a 128GB micro SD card and that just adds more storage who doesn't like having expandable storage? You will find a full size USB 3.0 port, & two USB C ports and a headphone jack. The Yoga CB is crafted out of Aluminum and is a little heavier when compared to other CB.It is 4lbs and you definitely feel how hefty this CB is in the hand. The Aluminum feels great but is somewhat of a finger print magnet. Dual band Wi-Fi is available, and Wireless AC speeds which are awesome should your home network support it. I have managed to get 8 to 8 & 1/2 hours of battery life with my mixed use.It is great not having to be tethered to a charger all the time. With the recent update to Chrome OS you now have access to a few features such as "Night Light" which is easier on your eyes in the night hours which essentially does away with blue light. Keyboard and track pad are solid. There is a good amount of travel on the full sized keyboard and the keys do not stick but they are loud though but that doesn't really bother me. What did bother me is the fact that the keyboard is not backlit. Speakers are down firing and are located under the CB. That is not such a bad thing but I suppose my Lenovo Yoga book with the sound bar spoiled me as I now prefers that speakers not be in the bottom of my devices. The speakers are plenty loud and sound good I keep it at about 50-65%. The web cam is decent I rarely find myself ever using it. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Fast 8th generation Intel i5 - Generous 128GB of storage - Fast DDR 4 2400 RAM - FHD display is has good colors and is bright enough for me. - Expandable storage - Aluminum body Cons: - No backlit keyboard TL:DR This Yoga CB is a solid device no one can deny that. It is fast and has great hardware as far as CPU, RAM and memory goes. I love my Yoga I only found one minor thing that I did not like. This is comparable to the Pixel line of Chrome books but at a better price. While this CB is a little big and heavy it is still something I recommend you consider if you like 15 inch devices.
