Crashed/Blue Screen of Death 9 times
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned just over 3 mths. Thank god bought extended warrenty. The pc overheats when plugged in usb C drive, not regular usbs and fan is failing making loud noises. Crashes happened during work. So upset. Took 9 hours multiple hang ups with Lenovo support staff and this was the upgraded staff. Finally got a supervisor escalated. Lenovo contracted repair coming 9/22020 to replace the motherboard. Ill let you know how that goes and what else is failing.

Wish warranty was quicker
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the laptop a lot. Unfortunately, the wireless card stopped working. It’s under warranty but Best Buy said I would be without my laptop for 4-5 weeks. If you buy this laptop beware of the wireless card!

Beautiful but hates my router
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I had researched this thoroughly and was really pleased with the build quality. It is beautiful! However, it constantly dropped the wifi when all my other devices were fine. Then it started crashing the media com router/modem. As soon as I would launch a browser, it crashed. I then turned it off and experimented with my other devices and no crashes and researched to see if anyone else had the same experience. I found that I was not alone. I made some suggested adjustments, started the Yoga back up and it crashed wifi again. So, took it back to BestBuy and exchanged for a Dell Inspiron with nearly identical features.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you had issues with your Lenovo Yoga C740-15. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Hard drive failure
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hard drive failed after only 5.5 months. I had bought the total geek squad protection plan. However, the customer service at the geek squad in White Marsh, Maryland is horrible. They are unprofessional and not knowledgeable about anything. This is the second computer I have bought in 6 months from this location with a “hard drive failure.”

Touch Screen Stopped Working
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had this computer for 4 months, the touch screen suddenly stopped working and then the fan started making a loud noise. I contacted support and they wanted me to send it in; that sucks but ok I’ll make do for a short time. Turns out the part they need isn’t available and the service won’t be completed for another MONTH. They’ve had my computer for 3 weeks already! Don’t bother with this piece of junk, everything you need to do will be put on hold for 2 months. My work is on hold and I have to use my 8 year olds school computer to get my school work done.

Terrible battery and sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this computer for its keyboard and the 2-in-1 functionality. But the battery is TERRIBLE. I play dinky games; 20 minutes of play will drain about 30% of the battery charge. It will sometimes lose all charge overnight. Yes. I keep it plugged in 24/7 almost all the time as a result. It simply isn't a machine that can work unplugged. Period. And...the sound is terrible. Very low. I guess buying a computer sight unseen/untested in this new world isn't a great idea. But what else can one do?

C740 keyboard not for me
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased what was presented by Best Buy as a "Certified" pre-owned C740. The in-store computer salesman said that's the highest level and "just like new". Two days after having it, the N key was stuck, clearly damaged by the prior owner and unfortunately not caught by the Best Buy inspector. When I returned to the store, the Geek Squad tech said the C740 wasn't nearly as good of a laptop as the C930. So I upgraded.

sound issue with zoom
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got the computer yesterday. It was working good until I had a zoom session with my students. My students told me that as soon as I step slightly to the right or left of the computer, they can't hear me. The only way they can hear me is if I stand or sit in front of it. With that being said, this will not work for me because I bought it to teach from with zoom. I will have to return this if it does not get resolved.
