I received this computer as a retirement gift it is amazing. Its the best computer I have owned and fast, graphics are amazing. Hope to have it for many years. Was easy to get started and love the facial recognition at start up along with a pin if the camera gets shut off. You won’t be disappointed with this computer. The colors are crisp and awesome. Only have had it for a week however very happy with it. Leneno makes a good solid computer

Gave me SO many issues in 1 week

I really think I received a defective laptop, because there is no way a brand new laptop should be giving me so many issues. First day I used it, fresh out the box, I opened OneNote and took some notes then I tried to open the settings app and it wouldn't open after many attempts. Tried again 10 mins later and it finally opened. Then on tablet mode, I could take hand written notes on OneNote but when I tried to switch between pens colors it wouldn't work. I probably clicked the pen icon (on OneNote) like 30 times before worked. Then yesterday when I opened my laptop half of my wallpaper was missing, half the screen was black. The taskbar was nowhere to be found and my keyboard and trackpad wasn't working but yet the lights on the keyboard were on. Closed the laptop and opened it again, couldn’t sign in with face ID or fingerprint, keyboard still not working. The only thing working was the display, had to long in by inputting the pin with the touchscreen pin pad. Logged in, taskbar still not visible, cursor no were to be found, keyboard/track pad still not working. Closed laptop again, opened it and the screen was off, couldn't get it to turn on anymore but keyboard light were still on. After trying to function for 20 mins I gave up. I opened up the laptop 30mins later and it was working perfectly fine. Huh?? So some days it works and others it doesn't? I've had it for a week, there's no way a BRAND NEW laptop should be acting like this. It's 32GB of RAM and 1TB storage. I will be returning this, my 6 year old surface pro 7 works better than this

    Lenovo-Yoga Pro 9i Power Button breaks=total scam

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

POWER BUTTON FAILS AFTER 2.5 MONTHS = total scam of a computer! We purchased the Lenovo - Yoga Pro 9i 16" 3.2K Touchscreen Laptop Intel Core Ultra 9 185H with 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 - 1TB SSD in advance of our daughter's senior year with the intent she could use it for her college prep, college application process, AP exams, and continue to use it during college. We were excited and paid a lot of money (~$2k) but felt it was a worthwhile purchase. 2 months after purchase (and only 1 month into the school year) the power button failed rendering the computer inoperable. The power button is located on the side of the computer = major design flaw. When we took it into Best Buy to get it repaired, we were told that the warranty for parts like a power button is only 30 days from date of purchase. Best Buy stated the repair requires replacement of the entire keyboard and USB circuit board = a more than $700 dollar expense. We asked Best Buy how replacing the keyboard and USB circuit board would fix a faulty power button and they said they would get back to us. Best Buy never got back to us with an answer and just sent the computer back unrepaired. We were hugely disappointed and refuse to pay $700 for repairs for something that is a faulty design, particularly after spending $2k to buy the computer less than 3 months prior. Meanwhile, my daughter went back to using her trusty $200 Chromebook that’s she’s had since 7th grade (5 years of service and still works fine). Today she is taking an AP exam but Chromebooks aren’t compatible with the AP Platform. As such, she had to check out an old clunky computer from her school to take the exam. We are extremely disappointed that Lenovo would build an otherwise great computer and equip it with a RINKY-DINK CHEAP POWER BUTTON that fails after 2 months! This computer is a total scam with a super fragile power button and we DO NOT recommend this computer to anyone. We are also disappointed that neither Best Buy nor Lenovo would even consider finding a solution for an obviously faulty product.

Not what it seems, don’t waste your money.

Looking at the specs, this thing should be great. However, in reality, it’s not at all. I was wanting to replace my almost 5 year old Surface Laptop. This one is “better” than my old one by all accounts, at least on paper. My old has an older slower processor, half the memory, an integrated graphics card, and older WiFi. Therefore, it should not be able to compete with this new one, but that’s not the case. I put them side by side and opened MS applications, checked websites, and started Age Of Empires 2. The old one was faster than the new one on everything I did. It even got better results on an internet speed test. If you are looking for a new laptop, don’t buy this one. It is not worth the money. It may be new and pretty, but it can’t even keep up with a nearly 5 year old Surface Laptop. Don’t waste your money. The only reason I did’t return it was because I got the date wrong and missed the return window by one day, therefore I have to keep it. I regret this purchase and highly recommend getting anything else.
