The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x isn't just an upgrade; it feels like a generational leap forward. As one of the first Copilot+ PCs, it redefines expectations with its Snapdragon X Elite processor, delivering two game-changing promises: truly all-day (and then some) battery life and instantaneous AI-powered performance that feels seamlessly integrated into Windows.
The star of the show is the breathtaking 14.5-inch 3K OLED touch display. With its fluid 90Hz refresh rate, colors are not only incredibly vibrant with perfect blacks, but motion is buttery smooth, making everything from scrolling through documents to watching movies an absolute joy.
Housed in the signature sleek, lightweight, and durable Yoga chassis, the Slim 7x is the complete package. It's a premium, forward-thinking machine built for professionals, students, and early adopters who crave cutting-edge AI features, phenomenal battery performance, and one of the best displays on the market. This is the new benchmark for ultraportable productivity.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim is an excellent ultrabook that combines performance, portability, and style. Its sleek, lightweight design makes it ideal for working on the go, while the premium aluminum build adds a touch of elegance. The high-resolution display is vibrant and crisp, making it great for both productivity and media consumption.
Powered by the latest Intel or AMD processors and fast SSD storage, the Yoga Slim delivers smooth performance for multitasking, web browsing, and everyday tasks. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, and the battery life easily lasts a full workday, which is a big plus for students and professionals.
I also appreciate the thoughtful features like the backlit keyboard, USB-C connectivity, and fast charging. The laptop remains quiet and cool during extended use, which adds to the overall user experience.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga Slim offers great value for its price. It’s a reliable, well-designed laptop that delivers everything you’d expect from a premium ultrabook. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a portable and powerful everyday laptop.

Best Copilot laptop on the market

The Lenovo Slim 7x is a great laptop which is bringing windows into the new era of laptops with the switch to Arm chips. The Lenovo Slim 7x is a beautifully crafted laptop which is light so you can take it anywhere and powerful enough to use for most of your needs with a battery that just keeps going.
When it comes to laptops one of the biggest buying points is the screen and this is one of the best screens on the market. The screen gets up to 1000 nits brightness when needed and for the first time in a windows laptop the auto adjust brightness works correctly. The colors pop and the brightness is more than enough even for a sunny California day. Even with the Slim 7x being a touch screen there is no wobble to the screen, the hinges are tightened perfectly so you can open it with one finger and have no wobble when typing. The touch response on the screen is great and I have never had to a touch not register.
The keyboard is great to type on, the spring back from the keys is perfect and key travel is good to help avoid fatigue when typing. The backlighting on the works well at night, my only knock is that there is no dedicated key to brighten or dim the keyboard.
The Trackpad on the Slim 7x works great, all the gestures worked correctly, and the palm rejection worked as intended. Even with all of that said I wish that Slim 7x had a haptic trackpad, it is one of few additions I wish Lenovo had added.
The camera is a windows hello camera so it can log you in just with your face and it works great so you can take all meetings and look great. The AI background blurring affect works as intended and does a great job with keeping you in focus.
Now the star of the show for this laptop (besides its overall built) is the Snapdragon processor and so far I like what I see. The Slim 7x is able to keep 30+ chrome tabs open (with chrome running in emulation) and the CPU usage is below 4% with all of the tabs active. I was blown away with the battery life when compared to other windows machines when it came to regular task (browsing/videos/Microsoft suite). Over all I did have chrome restart/crash on me twice but I did not experience any slow downs at any point. The Snapdragon X elite is a great chip and can handle most everyday task without issue. I tried to run a few games on the Slim 7x and lets just say its not for gaming, I have a feeling the issue has to do with windows. The reason I say this is I played a few games on it and did not notice the GPU/CPU/NPU spike at all, the only thing that happened was most of the ram was used.
I found 4 things that I did not like about the laptop which I feel need to be changed to make this an absolute must have.
1. Fingerprint magnet. No matter where you touch this laptop you will leave fingerprints.
2. GPU: This needs an upgrade to help play games (I am speaking of games which are running in emulation)
3. Speakers: The speakers are not loud enough, now I get most people aren’t going to use for music without speakers but the sound does leave me wanting more.
4. Ports: There are only 3 ports on this laptop which means dongles…..
Lenovo has created a great device, easily one of the best regardless of your OS preference or price. There is little to no bloatware and the small touches Lenovo has done , smaller palm rest (finally my watch isn’t scraping and making that horrible noise) , make this an absolutely wonderful device. Compared to all of the other X Elite laptops this is the one with the least sacrifices and the most premium in the windows lineup. Now everyone will try to compare this to Apple and it is very similar to the Macbook pro launch, great built with amazing battery life. Just like the Macbook M1 the native apps work and there is no fan noise at all. I would say the native apps for windows work better than the native apps for the M1 on initial launch, there is no lag to launching programs and having 30+ tabs open without heating up or crashing is great. Now don’t get me wrong the emulation isn’t perfect and there is work to be done but if this is the worst windows on arm is going to be than I am excited to see where windows on ARM will be in 3 months.

I’ve been using the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x for a few months now, and it’s quickly become my go-to laptop. First off, the design is super sleek and lightweight, which is a huge plus for me since I’m often carrying it around from place to place. It fits easily into my backpack without weighing me down.
Performance-wise, it’s surprisingly powerful for its size. I regularly have multiple tabs open, plus apps like Photoshop and Zoom running, and it never slows down. The battery life also holds up well; I can go through most of the day without scrambling for a charger, which is great when I’m working away from home.
The display is another standout feature. Whether I'm binge-watching shows or doing some light photo editing, the colors are vibrant, and everything looks crisp. Plus, the keyboard is comfortable to type on—something I appreciate during long work sessions.
All in all, the Yoga Slim 7x feels like a perfect balance of portability and performance. It’s practical for everyday use, without sacrificing power or style.

Purchased this laptop from my favorite store Best Buy!
Overall : I am extremely satisfied with the laptop.
Laptop is light, runs cool, does not heat up, tried video editing and was really fast.
Did not expect the performance from Snapdragon X Elite CPU. It surpassed my expectations, I now attest to the benchmarks.
Keyboard feels very comfortable, happy with the nice backlit one.
Battery life is awesome, it runs all day!
Screen : My love of the laptop is the screen clarity and its brightness!!
What Issue i had : I had issues with Chrome browser on DNS resolution. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG resolved with the online help available.
The issue is too miniscule to snatch a star from the review. I give it all 5.

Unlike the other review on here, I find the processor, and overall unit to be excellent, as most Lenovo products are that I have purchased. The processor is FAR less warm than anything else I have used in a laptop for the past 15 years. Somewhere along the line Intel and AMD forgot the use case here was to use these on your lap. Not on a desk. The battery life is at least double of the AMD laptop I purchased that is less than two years old. This thing is Super Slim and lightweight yet still built as solid as any other high-end Lenovo laptop. I would say this is a productivity laptop and great for what most people use their laptops for. May you run into some strange use case where this processor doesn't work for you, possibly. I would venture to guess though this will work for 99% of folks out there. If you want to play games, buy an Xbox or a PS4, don't buy a laptop. If you haven't had a gaming laptop, they run for about 2-3 hours before you have to plug them in, and you can cook eggs on them at that point. All that does is degrade the internals. As I am typing this review, with a full charge the battery says it has 12 hours left. Not something I have ever seen on a laptop. It's about time we have some Windows laptops that run relatively cool, and don't have to be plugged in after 4-6 hours. They aren't really Mobile devices at that point.
Overall -
Build Quality - 10
Processor - 10
Keyboard - 10
Screen - 10+

What an excellent machine! Fits my use cases perfectly. I needed a laptop to take to and from work (I work in healthcare) to do paperwork, charting, word processing and presentations, browse the web, and consume content on. Disclaimer: I built a powerful desktop for gaming and content creation so I did not buy this laptop needing or expecting it to do those things. But for general use? WOW.
Build quality is excellent, feels really sturdy and high quality while being thin, light, and extremely portable. The keyboard is true to form for Lenovo: the keys feel great with good travel and have a nice texture. The touchpad is on par with most other Windows laptops: perfectly fine but not amazing. The blue chassis is also a huge fingerprint magnet but this is unfortunately the case for many laptops these days. Fingerprints aside, it is a very attractive laptop. I also appreciate the camera bump because it makes it easy to open with one hand and makes the screen more immersive instead of having a big notch. Speaking of the screen: it is lovely. Colors are vibrant and brightness is such that you can easily see in direct sunlight (although the glossy finish does cause some reflections). The speakers are very good; I wouldn't use them to watch a movie in a huge room but they more than do the job for casual use and are impressive for a laptop this slim and light.
Thanks to the new snapdragon chip, this machine absolutely sips battery, easily giving a full day of use on a charge. Happy to report that it has standby time rivaling the M3 MacBook Air I recently parted ways with.
Even with the lowest specced Snapdragon X Elite chip, performance has been impressive. It's very speedy: nothing I have ever done on it has slowed it down noticeably. Opening it from sleep, it is pretty much instantly ready to resume whatever you were doing. App compatibility for my purposes has been great: the only program I use that doesn't have an official ARM version yet is Tidal. I can imagine people needing specialized programs might have more trouble with compatibility so if you have specific programs you absolutely need to be able to use do your research or stick with Intel or AMD for now.
In summary: I am extremely satisfied with this laptop and highly recommend it if your use cases are similar to mine. I feel comfortable saying it is the some of the best bang for your buck you will get in a general use laptop. Strong work Lenovo!

Ok lets get this out the negatives: not for gamers, very reflective screen, on windows ARM architecture, AI software needs work but its 1st gen. Only 3 USB C ports. Now the positivies: Ultraportable, average 14 hour battery life, OLED 3K display is PERFECT for ANIME lovers, (HDR max 1000 needs a little calibration, SDR max is 500 w/ 7 color profiles) touchscreen, speakers are on par with macbook airs. A mech trackpad which is diveboard not haptic which can be a toss up for some but for me not bad. Build quality rivals the macbooks, webcam equal to the macbook pro. Apps used: Crunchyroll, appleTV+, hulu, netflix, amazon prime video, tidial, Qobuz, adobe lightroom, nordvpn. Overall, i give this a solid 88/100 for a first gen product. If your focus is just general use, media consumption, lightroom editing, microsoft office. Then this is the BEST secondary tool for you, ONLY when its on sale not full priced.

After spending a week with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, I'm thoroughly impressed by its blend of portability and power. The sleek Cosmic Blue aluminum chassis houses a stunning 14.5-inch 3K OLED touch-screen display that's a joy to use, whether I'm editing photos or streaming videos. At just 2.8 pounds, it's incredibly light, making it perfect for my on-the-go lifestyle. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor, paired with 16GB of RAM, handled all my tasks with ease, from heavy multitasking to resource-intensive applications.
What truly sets this laptop apart is its exceptional battery life, easily lasting through a full workday on a single charge. The Dolby Atmos audio system delivers surprisingly rich sound for such a slim device, while the multiple USB-C ports and Wi-Fi 6E support ensure I'm always connected. Lenovo's AI-driven features, like Smart Assist and adaptive performance management, add a layer of convenience and efficiency to the user experience. Overall, the Yoga Slim 7x is a top-tier ultraportable that doesn't compromise on performance or features, making it an excellent choice for professionals and creatives who demand the best.
Cons: to be considered
1) Limited port selection: It only has USB-C ports, lacking HDMI and SD card reader options
2) Touchpad click feel slighty hollow
3) Finger prints are quite visible

I've had it for just over a week, and so far so good, with a couple minor issues.
First the good, with the screen brightness turned one step up from the lowest, it is still very easily read. There's no way to get over 20 hours of battery life if you're on BT or WiFi, but 20 hours is still substantial. The keyboard is responsive, and feels good. There is a learning curve coming from my HP Spectre X360, as the keys are shifted from the left margin due to the speaker placement. It is fast, both in boot and launching apps. 3 USB Lightning ports is very forward thinking. And it's nice to know that the storage can be user upgraded, although I'm certain doing so would violate any expressed warranty.
The bad. If you are upgrading from a 14" with speakers at the hinge, it will take days to reset your muscle memory to adjust to the key shift. Storage is weak at 512 Gig, but its fast. I'm guessing the desire is to keep storage low so that you'll use some form of cloud storage subscription and you'll never ever own your data again? The touch pad is finicky, and will often close or minimize windows without any attempt to do so (this mostly happens with multi-finger control). Anything other than silver or off white is going to show fingerprints, and this dark blue excels in printing. CoPilot stinks and gets in your way, UNINSTALL IT.
The worst part about buying bleeding edge is seldom are they ready for Linux, but Qualcomm is working on it, so De-Windows your laptop, remove all of the seemingly countless reporting and personal tracking functions (easy to follow guides on YouTube), force stop ALL Analytics, and turn off auto updates, because Windows will reset everything you've turned off, because you're nothing but an advertising target for Microsoft, remove the bloat AV software because it also tracks your digital footprint, install REVO Uninstaller because Windows uninstaller will not remove registry entries for theirs's or others bloat ware.
As soon as Zorin or Mint releases a Snapdragon X Elite compatible Linux distro, instantly convert this bad boy and your battery life will increase by 20-35%.

It's a comfortable computer that I love to use but not without it's flaws.
The Good: The screen, keyboard, camera, just about everything is perfect for the specs. The keyboard alone I wish I could buy an external keyboard that feels the same way it does. The speakers are actually good and it does indeed delivery pretty good battery life.
The Bad: Snapdragon Elite processor does feel snappy when it wants to. But some things will simply not work. If you run a lot of x86 applications/drivers prepare to see your battery life diminish faster and they will make the computer feel 'slower' I have to use a VPN for work which I know will be ages until I see an arm equivalent application. Window for arm has been around a long time and it's kind of sad microsoft dropped the ball this hard. Also don't expect to play any demanding games. Some things like discord, microsoft teams constantly crash. Esp if you use the camera. As well the copilot functions leave a lot to be desired. You can get all the same functionality just opening bing/chatgpt/claude in a browser. Also I've found that 16gb really isnt' enough RAM if I mix x86/arm apps I am running in swap constantly.
If you are looking for a great laptop for office, using the internet, balancing your checkbook this is probably the perfect laptop for you. If you do anything outside the norm - programming like myself, or expect to play video games prepare yourself to be a little underwhelmed. I can't wait until I can get linux working on this thing.

I finally found exactly what I was looking for! I have been using this Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x just under two weeks and I am happy to report that this laptop is absolutely amazing! While I got it during a sale, I feel that is it work its retail price!
The OLED display is absolutely stunning and the had a high NIT rate and up to 1000 nits in HDR. The Snapdragon X Elite is superfast and with the 16GB of RAM, this laptop can handle anything you can through at it. The keyboard is nice and responsive. The keys are spaced out comfortably, The material used makes this laptop feel very premium. I mean, I would consider the whole laptop to be premium. The battery life for an OLED is amazing!!!!
Even better is that it doesn't come in S Mode and it's ready to download other applications outside of the Microsoft Store. The overall performance is smooth as butter and can toggle to 90hz refresh rate. I have absolutely no complaints to report from a hardware/software, design perspective. It is a finger print magnet but nothing a microfiber cloth can't take care of. No bloatware, so that was nice.
Just a high performance laptop! I love it and have nothing bad to say. I would highly recommend this laptop.

This is, simply put, an excellent laptop. The OLED screen may be the best screen ever used in a laptop. It's bright, high resolution, and gorgeous (and a touchscreen to boot). The keyboard is excellent as well, with just the right amount of travel and well-spaced keys. It feels solid in the machine and I preferred it significantly over the Samsung Book4 Edge that I also purchased but returned. I really liked the camera bump that makes opening the laptop easy. This is a great design that more manufacturers should copy. It also allows the Windows Hello camera plenty space so signing on is as simple as looking at it. The laptop is fast and for the most part, the Snapdragon architecture worked just fine. However, I did find that the print driver at work for a Sharp printer would not install (or at least the IT guy wasn't able to get it to work; I didn't try to troubleshoot it myself). We also found my work's VPN didn't function property. Ultimately, I had to return this laptop for those reasons, but if you don't have to worry about that sort of thing for your use case, then I wholeheartedly recommend this laptop to anyone other than someone wanting to use it for gaming.
