Great movie, bad decision for the Blu-Ray version!

Lets dive in head first. PROS: Unlike what I have read in reviews, the Blu-Ray version does have a better picture and clearer sound. Here is the problem that most customers don't understand, If you don't have a TV that has 1080P and 120Hz ability, then it is not worth it. I know for certain because I compaired the DVD to the Blu-Ray on my PS3 and the differance is major. The picture is clearer, has a lot more color, and runs alot smoother. I own a 1080P, 120Hz, Touch-of-Color, 46", Samsung LCD TV and the movie looks great. Again, if your HARDWARE is not able to support these specifications than you won't see much of a differance. CONS: The main thing that has me angry ( and nobody has mentioned at all) is that you cannot watch the Director's Cut!!! You can watch some of it in the deleted scenes but, there is no options to watch the movie with the Director's cut footage! Anyone who has seen the Director's Cut version on DVD knows that the extra footage should have been in it all along. But the Blu-Ray version does not even give you that choice! We all know Blu-ray has more space, so what gives? I can't watch it without it because it adds a LOT of depth that's missing otherwise. BOTTOM LINE: Better quality picture and sound but, the missing Director's Cut footage ruins the buy. In fact I am going to try to return it if I can!

    Unnecessary Extra Footage

This is a bad director's cut to a film that wasn't really that great to begin with. If you have to have this movie, stick with the original theatrical version.
