The Level Lock plus is a wireless electronic lock for your entry door at home. It replaces the deadbolt with an device that can be activated wirelessly. If you've ever replaced a deadbolt, installation is pretty easy. After removing the old deadbolt, this goes in it's place. This one uses the same internal hardware as the normal level lock, but adds the additional interior lock and exterior key assembly. That's because this version has a feature where in addition to being able to lock/unlock with the app, you can also use the included keys, keycards, an Apple Watch or phone after setting up Home Keys, or the Level Keypad. Full disclosure, I actually have another level lock already on one of the exterior doors at my home with the keypad. However, the one I already have does not support Home Keys. If you've not used level, the lock is relatively easy to install and configure. The main issues you'd have is checking for compatibility, being a bit limited on where you can install this model (my other installation is on a door with ornate lock hardware, this one can only go on standard deadbolts which are physically separate from the lower door latch), and your biggest enemy - friction due to mismatch between the cutouts on the door and frame. Furthermore, because you're effectively replacing the entire deadbolt, you'd need to be sure you have a color match (if that matters to you). In my case, the color was different, but did not clash. And the existing door lock had a very smooth operation which boded well. Sure enough, there was no issue having the level lock operate electronically. The level locks use a battery that's stored in the deadbolt. From experience with my existing lock, always replace the battery with a non-rechargeable one. Moving on, operating the lock from the app worked well and the keycards as well. But what really excited me was to see how well this would work with Home Keys. While the app has a feature that will auto lock and unlock based on your GPS location, it relies on a BLE connection to work. And unfortunately, this is not very fast and sometimes not reliable. It's not fast as in it seems I sometimes need to come back to the lock, let it detect me, then walk away again before it locks. And not reliable as in sometimes after coming back home, it doesn't seem to auto unlock. Also, if someone without the app opens and closes the door, but doesn't lock it, the lock may activate and lock depending on what the last interaction with my phone was. This means kids were in danger of being locked outside. Home Keys seems to solve some of this issue. Tapping my watch triggers the door to lock or unlock. That simple. No need to enter a long code. Or get a light source on the keypad (usually my phone) so I can see it to enter a code. And it seems faster than the keypad for locking - detecting the tap and starting to lock faster then hitting the check/enter button on the keypad and responding to that. So, yay, one pain point gone. My only complaint with this lock is the effective lack of Android support for similar functionality. Given that it has keycards, the lock clearly supports a lower level of authentication which should be achievable with Android. Yes, I know Home Keys is more secure, but it seems unlikely that someone could clone an NFC key from a phone and if my watch or iPhone is stolen by someone who knows about my lock, they'd gain access anyway. Being stuck in the walled garden is what limits my rating to 4 stars, instead of 5. Gaining android compatibility on the NFC featureset plus being able to use this with the original external hardware would make this lock perfect.

Used this lock on my IT closet, works amazingly dont need to remember my keys at all as long as i have my watch or iphone on me i can tap it and it unlocks the door every time

Easy to install. Multiple options for using the lock from key to using your iPhone or Apple Watch. Compact and does not look like a Smart Lock.

Extremely easy to install and setup. I did have to widen and increase the depth of the hole on the frame so the deadbolt can extend fully.

The bluetooth range limit doesn’t allow me to access the lock if I’m not standing next to the door. I bought a HomePod to rectify this but have no other use for the HomePod. The level app is also glitchy.

Love this device, it works well and looks really sleek. however just make sure it fits your door because the motor is large and might not work for custom doors.

This is a great lock. It is hidden inside the door and looks like a normal lock. Works great with Alexa.
