Had to purchase an Applepod mini to use home kit to it’s fullest potential. My kids can use their watches to unlock it. The touch to unlock is usually hit or miss. Waiting to see if it was worth the price.

I didn’t want a lock that had an oversized look. The ease of integration into Apple’s ecosystem along with all the additional features available within HomeKit. Lastly, the price, which was roughly cheaper during BestBuy’s holiday sale.

Battery drains for no reason

Geek Squad will not install without it so you need a locksmith first. I had it installed and the new battery kept draining. I purchased another new battery and the same issue.

Pricey Lock, very sleek design

Very simple set up and very hidden look. Purchased the additional keypad for the door for added ease of entry. Only disappointment is that it will not connect to the internet without the additional (also expensive) connect hub

From the outside, you cannot tell it's a smart lock at all. In fact, it has no branding at all on either side of the lock. The Apple Home Key feature is the best! I can use my Apple Watch or my iPhone to unlock my door. Highly recommend this lock to anyone with an Apple Home set-up.

One of only a couple of Home Key locks - works with your Apple Watch or iPhone. I’ve owned and used many smart locks and this one is by far my favorite.

You can’t unlock remotely while away from home - you have to be on the same WiFi network as your device to control it, UNLESS you buy an expensive add on. There’s also a noticeable delay in locking/unlocking even when near the device. It’s expensive, and there’s better products at similar price points.
