LOVE LOVE LOVE that this doesn't look like your average keypad on your front door. (that comes separately and can be installed on the side) BUT! This lock is bluetooth, does NOT have wifi in the lock itself. In order to use app while more than 20 feet away you must have a separate source, like an apple tv or home hub to speak to via wifi and then that device can talk to lock via bluetooth. VERY confusing! Had 2 different geek squad guys come out & neither had any idea... they thought the lock was broken. Level support was difficult to reach but once we finally got someone on the phone, they explained the situation yo us.

I currently have the August smart locks. I was hoping this would be an improvement since the entire mechanism is inside the door and not a monstrous device attached to the door. The only drawback I see to it so far, which happens to be a dealbreaker for me, is the auto lock feature still activates, even if the door is wide open. The August smart lock knew the difference based on the included sensor I very easily installed in the door frame. Unfortunately, I will be returning this lock because of it. For anyone who doesn’t care about this feature, I would recommend the lock.

This doorbell is awesome, when it works… I love the touch feature and having a key card for entry options, but the touch feature fails often. I will say using the key card never fails, just annoying to make sure it touches the correct spot on the card to unlock. The app is also very lackluster. I have to restart my app every time I get home to get the lock to connect and unlock. I also have range boost enabled & it’s supposed to know whenever I get home to allow the touch to unlock feature & that works about 5/10 times. It does not allow you to control your lock whenever you are not within range of the lock (at least in my experience). It doesn’t matter how many times I have restarted the app and tried to control my lock whenever I am not home & it never has worked. I believe this is supposed to be a feature of the product as well, so sad that doesn’t work. Overall, it’s decent. I picked it up on clearance at my local store for 99 bucks, so I can’t be mad at it for that price.

If you're looking for a lock that not only works seamlessly with your smart devices, but also looks beautiful, look no further. Our Level Touch Lock was super easy to install. After removing our existing lock, putting the new one in only took 15 minutes. Once installed, the simple instructions provided in the box point you towards the iOS app. Setup in the app was intuitive, as well as adding HomeKit support. App has a multitude of settings as well, such as touch to lock/unlock and geofencing. Works with your phone, a traditional key, and even NFC keys. Locking and unlocking is as simple as a touch or a tap. Can't wait to see what new features, functionality and integrations they add next.

This lock is almost perfect especially if you're moving into a new home like me. New lock and new keys gives you a piece of mind. Screw provided are long and provide excellent strength as well as a strike plate. The installation was a breeze and the only difficulty I had was removing the old screws. Comparing to the August smart lock: The Level app itself is simple and easy to use, but you have to be within bluetooth range in order to unlock and lock the door. The other issue that could be solved is an audit log. The august lock wins both these categories by default. However, the battery life and ease of installation go to the Level. The overall appearance of the level lock is as stealthy as it gets. You wouldn't be able to tell that a smart lock is there. Changing batteries is also a breeze. Overall, I live with housemates and need to know when someone doesn't close the door properly and having 3 staircases and thick walls means bluetooth just isn't as viable unless you're within the 1st floor. I'd recommend this to anyone that lives in an apartment or a smaller home where bluetooth range is more accessable

This is a very good quality lock and it's great that it comes with a key as an alternative way to open the door. My only complaint is that opening the door with the app is not great as you have to be next to the door for it to work, and even then it does not always work, you should be able to use it from anywhere like the Yale lock.

I really like not having to have a key in hand, but occasionally touch function does not work well in cold weather or if battery does is low. But those times, using the iPhone app is always required which I still prefer over a physical key lock.

I love the many options you can use to unlock the lock with! I personally haven’t had much issues with it. Sometimes it takes a bit to unlock with the on approach unlock option for me, but it still unlocks. My husband has a hard time with the key pass. He tries swiping it past the lock, I’ve learned to just hold it in front of it. You have to have the key physically out you can’t do it through a wallet. I also ordered the keychain passes for our children. I do however wish you could adjust the on approach radius. Sometimes I lock the door and forget something and since I haven’t left the radius I have to use a key, key card, or my home app to unlock the door. I have touch set up for locking but not unlocking. It is an overall nice lock.

I used to have a nest yale lock before but because of a lot of issues I gave up and decided to give the level lock a try. And so far, it's good and not so bulky as to the previous lock that I used to have. I also purchased a warranty just to make sure if I encounter any issues, I'm covered. The product looks nice and has a ton of options to lock and unlock it. I will definitely recommend this product to everyone who wants a smart lock that looks minimal and has a ton of good features.

Just purchased this and tested thoroughly. Geo fencing feature is awesome. You tap the lock to lock but you cannot tap again to unlock unless you leave a geofence area. Comes with two keys and key cards and works with HomePod and Alexa. Just a great blend of new meets old. The problem with key pads is you can take tape and capture finger prints. Sure you can use a metal rod and hammer a dead bolt or freeze a lock but coupled with a front door camera this takes more time than the tape option. That being said the keypad isn’t as bad option just make sure you couple that with a smart door bell camera. The positives are this is pretty easy to install but that doesn’t mean super easy for someone not used to installing door locks. This product has the most ways to unlock which means the most compatible. The negatives are no keypad and it doesn’t fit all doors. All smart door locks say “super easy” they all have some sort of issue fitting doors. A positive is this is perfect for apple HomeKit. I am in security and test items like this. This is pretty secure but not perfect. You have to use the app. Just don’t lose your phone and have no lock on your phone would be my suggestion but that goes for all smart home items. All security is a layered approach meaning alarm, cameras, home wifi security (wpa2 and above), and phone security ie face recognition or biometric security. Even with all of this you are maybe 80 percent protected.

The lock is good, in theory, but it doesn’t always work. When it does, it’s excellent and convenient, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries for it to lock properly. It always unlocks on the first attempt, which is what I’m more interested in — the ability to unlock my door from my phone when I get home — but it does suck that I can’t just lock it from my home hub or phone on the first try consistently. So buyer beware of that. However, it is a big positive that it is completely hidden, and doesn’t look any different than a regular “dumb” lock, unlike many other smart lock options.
