Its smart capabilities allow you to control it from your phone using the VeSync app, or even by voice command with Alexa or Google Assistant (although I have had trouble getting it to work with my Alexa). Also, the PlasmaPro feature can be turned off if you have concerns about ozone emissions. Overall I am very happy with this product.
