Did not like the fact that this product has exposure to radiation as well as lead. Terrible product! Took both of ours back immediately after reading this and doing some research. Do better!

The Levoit 400S is a great air purifier that delivers everything it advertises. It has one of the most user friendly smart apps I have ever used, and you don't even need to rely on it. All the controls are available on the device itself and the icons are mostly self explanatory. First impressions are good and this may be one of the best purifiers I have used thus far. To begin, the setup is basically non existent. It is plug and play, and for those that are complete lazy, you can just press the auto mode and the purifier will do it's thing. The included onboard air sensor is pretty accurate, the readings it provided were within a percent or two compared to my dedicated air quality reader. A lot of other purifiers will offer auto mode, but you can never really tell what it's doing. However, here you can fully customize how auto mode works with the smart app, and set when the fan will kick in at certain particle levels. That is an amazing feature to have for an air purifier, and it's a level of fidelity that should be the standard. As mentioned before, the controls on the unit are basic, but the app expands it so much further. You're able to connect to it and check the air quality if that's all you want to do. You can even set it to auto turn on when the air quality hits a certain threshold. Honestly, that is an amazing convenience that is you wish you had. Let your air purifier cycle the air for you instead of you having to worry about turning it on/off all the time. I cannot say enough good things about how convenient this air purifier has been for me. This is a great example of a smart product done right. It gives you the easy of one touch operation, while also allowing you to customize it to your exact needs. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking.

This is a well-built unit that does its job very quietly. For a device that runs continuously, I find that very important. It’s a basic cylinder in appearance with an LCD readout and touch controls at the center top. You can’t place anything on top of it because that’s also where the air exits. The single round filter is accessed from the bottom with a simple twist-lock system. It’s a three-stage true HEPA filter. Setup was quick and easy if you download the app and follow the step-by-step instructions. First, it finds your phone via Bluetooth, and then you link it to your home WIFI. At this point, all functions can be controlled remotely as well as on the top control panel. If you set the fan to auto, it will choose the speed based on the level of pollution or particulates in your air. As mentioned, it’s normally very quiet, but it can spool up if there’s a need to clean your air more aggressively. So far mine has stayed on low. If you’re in an area with smoke or such, I’d guess it will be speeding up to handle it. There’s a night setting that keeps it whisper quiet and turns off the LCD screen. There are also scheduling and timer modes. One thing missing in the app that I would like to see is a time log of your air quality. Levoit is among the big names in air purifiers, and this is one of their bigger units. It’s nearly 11” in diameter and a little under 21” tall. It draws air in from all around the lower section, and the recommended clearance is 15” from all directions. It takes a bit of floor space but can handle an area of up to 400 square feet. If you want to improve your indoor air quality, the VeSync 400S will remove dust and particulates as well as allergens, bacteria, and even airborne viruses. This is a solid choice that I would recommend.

This only supports 2.4 GHz wifi. Should state this clearly in specs. Only says wifi connectivity. Im returning this device with outdated technology.

Easy setup, works well and super quiet! At first I wasn’t sure if the air quality rings were working since it always appeared blue with only a 1-3 ug/m3 display…..my air quality seemed a little too good. After a few days I happened to blow out a candle near by and finally saw some action! Lit up like a Christmas tree on the air quality from the smoke going into the air. Not sure if it’s bad when you get excited when you see the air quality get bad :/ I like the fact you can see how much filter life is left using the app and being able to turn off the light display at night. I also like that u can adjust the fan speed or do auto. For myself, I like a little white noise while sleeping so turn it at a 3 fan speed which is perfect for me. If you don’t like any white noise this thing can purr super quiet. Only slight problem I had at first was thinking the darn thing opened from the top instead of the bottom to put the filter in. Couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t “open” it. Not my brightest moment.

Easy to use, straight out of the box. Turn the unit upside down, unscrew the base, and remove the filter. Take it out of its plastic bag and put the filter back in the unit. I tried this out initially in a second floor room, set to "auto" and was amazed at how much air was moved even on the lowest setting. Typical reading was around 3 so I was pleased at what it was doing. A couple days later, we were burning sticks in the backyard and left the garage door open. Later we discovered that the garage smelled heavily of smoke. I grabbed the Levoit (it only weighs 11 lbs) and plugged it in the garage. Immediately the "rings" turned red and the numbers hit triple digits. I certainly didn't want that smell making it into the house so I set the unit to "efficient auto mode" and in no time the rings had returned to blue and my reading was back in the single digits. I was amazed at how quickly it filtered out the air. The unit is now back in the house where it blends in easily. It's only 10x10x20 so it takes up very little space. Small and lightweight, it's easy to move from room to room if necessary. It's currently running on "auto" mode, and seems to work effortlessly to keep the room to a "3". It has 4 fan settings and you have to really try to hear it on "1". The "2" setting is barely noticeable as well. Settings 3 and 4 can be heard but still very quiet. Seems well-built, sturdy, and works very well!

I like the air purifier just fine,seems like it is doing a good job.It is quiet and easy to move.Two day shipping is great.Best Buy is great when ordering something to be shipped. JMM

The 400s is quiet and efficient. It's wildfire season here in California and it quickly reduces the air quality from moderate to good in a 400 square foot room. I have it about 4 feet from my bed and it normally isn't audible. The top controls are unobtrusive, but responsive. They are quite intuitive. The air quality index it reports agrees quite well with local sensors (took it outside to check). I love it! The only drawback is the app requires you to trust a computer in China with your wifi password. Since my wifi password appeared on the dark web and I had to change all my wifi passwords on over 50 IOT devices, I'm very sensitive to this. I didn't review the app.

My 12 year old great-nephew with asthma lives with us part time. Colorado has seen some horrendous smoke from the fires and the air in the Denver area is thick. Many days we could not see the mountains. Anyway, with the COVID, smoke, and dry climate...we are all breathing a bit easier knowing the air he is breathing in his room while he sleeps is clean. It runs very quiet and there is no intrusive lights, just a soft glow he considers a night light. Right now it is more important then ever to keep our indoor breathing air clean.

It has WiFi & monitors air quality in the app which is a plus, it does a large room so it handles most of my main floor. The machine is quiet, easy to use and works great. I wasn’t sure if the auto mode really responded to changes but one night cooking dinner it cranked right up…it works. I ordered a smaller WiFi enabled model for my bedroom. The smaller one has less bells and whistles but I love it.

With a rather large HEPA filter this purifier gets the job done for medium to largish sized rooms and the filter on the bottom with a simple screw off plate is one of the easiest to access and change. I like the fact that the manual is actually helpful unlike many products these days that give you a less than basic pictorial quick-start guide. The controls on the unit are easy to read and intuitive with my favorite part being the air quality display that shows real-time how dirty the air is that is being filtered. Setup is smooth and the app is functional and easy to use. I didn't like the fact that I had to setup an account in order to proceed with the unit setup in the app. I think that creating an account should be an optional thing, especially to facilitate a quicker setup. One of my favorite features is that during power off/on the unit remembers your previous settings (fan speed, display, etc.) This is an awesome unit and if I had to nit-pick on something it would be that replacement filters appear on the pricey side at around 50 dollars. The manual states that under normal usage conditions you should get about a year between filter changes. There are some other neat features I have not really tried out such as sleep mode (too quiet, we like white noise in the room), auto mode (this is in a bedroom with good air quality to begin with), and schedules (app control only).

Ok allergies is a big deal in my house. So we have 3 other purifiers running in our home. I’m going to just hit on some of the things that set this one a part. And we have two kids under two. First things first this one is the most baby proof. It has a lock setting on the controls so the kids can’t keep turning it on and off like the others. It also has a dark mode that turns off all the lights but still runs which is nice if you use one in a bedroom. Setup was easy. And it is also easy to change out the filters. It can be a little loud on the high setting but if left on auto it has never been loud at all. I’m just getting back to my house after hurricane IDA and am thankful I had this to help clean the air in my house after not having power for a week.

I have been using this air purifier for a little bit now and I love it. I wanted to take my time and use this Levoit - PlasmaPro HEPA Smart Air Purifier for sometime in order to provide you with the most accurate review. The design is modern and stylish to fit in with any decor. The fan sound is minimal and hardly noticeable. The touchscreen display is very clear and easy to use. In the middle of the purifier is a display that shows you the parts per million (ppm) of debris in your air. This air purifier made my air go from 5ppm to 1ppm. During these challenging times of the pandemic I feel it is the utmost importance to have a quality product such as this purifier to protect you as much as possible. The only con I can mention about this product is the power cord is a wee-bit short.

Detects smoke or potentially hazardous smells and begins cleaning quick and quietly. Downloading the app was as simple as following the QR code and set up with wifi. Using the app does have multiple options to lock the display preventing children from turning it on unnecessarily or changing the fan settings. You can increase the fan if you would prefer the white noise. Use with Google nest speaker is voice activated so you are limited as to what you can do vs the Google nest Hub with the display. The display does give you the options to use the device from a different room by touch as well as voice. Overall I have not had any issues with smoke, cooking odors don't last and it's very convenient to use hands free. Wonderful size and fits in great with other smart devices in my home!

Love this air purifier. You can control everything thru the app which connects in seconds and is very easy to use. Best of all, it does the job — the house is much cleaner and less dusty and it’s helped my allergies a lot . Get this especially when BB runs deals on holiday weekends

I'm very pleased with this air purifier!!!!! It works really well, and covers my living room and dining room. The features are visible on the top of the purifier as well as through the app. I can clearly monitor the inside safety levels of the air I breath.

I like this air purifier a lot. It’s actually hard to know how effective it is, but it lights up, and the numbers change during the course of the day, indicating the air quality. I guess. I’m glad I have it and I use it every day.
