Nice hard textured surface, waste of USB port

This mouse pad does give a nice large, hard textured surface that works really well with the Lexip Pu94 mouse or any mouse that has the Lexip ceramic pads. It still works great with any mouse for that matter. Having the non-slip large hard surface keeps from wearing out my desk surface and it much larger than a standard mouse pad. The lighting effects are neat, but limited.
As cool as I think it is to have lighting effects that could go along with the mouse, this misses the mark in a couple places. One, you can’t truly customize the lights, but go through a few presets with a button at the top middle, in the mouse pad play surface. Secondly, the USB port is just a wasted port. I would have thought that the USB would at least extend the port for you by providing a port on the back of the large bracket. The bracket, that is taller that the mouse pad that is just there to hold the braided USB cord and snag your mouse cord as you slide back and forth. Besides, this mouse pad is literally just using the mouse port for power. So, I don’t see how there are specific requirements for it as a standard USB wall charger gives all the same features as shown in my picture.
I feel if the large bracket had been a bit smoother in edges, not so gaudy looking, provided a USB-A port to extend the mouse and had the button on the bracket instead of the play area, I would say that it’s worth it without the ability to fully customize the lighting. But, since it is just taking another port and the mouse occasionally clips on the bracket, I can’t recommend.

Stylish and solid gaming surface

RGB mouse pads. Tell me that I’d own one about 5 years ago, and I’d laugh. Today they’re all the rage. Lexip’s B5 is an exceptional offering though. It has a smooth textured surface, great construction, and a subtle RGB switch that can turn off completely.
The mouse pad itself is relatively large at about 10x14”. The surface is textured, but low friction. I’ve not used a hard mouse pad before, and this has been a great experience. The surface is connected to a metal housing that the braided USB cable comes from. The cable is generous 6 ft and can be powered by any USB port, including a USB charger.
The LEDs are found in the little metal section, but diffuse light across the edges of the pad using the same acrylic our 90’s lime green/pink clipboards from grade school were made from. This diffuses the LED light into quite a light show. Of course the solid color choices are a better fit than the patterns as the smoothness is limited due to how these LEDs are distributed. Branding is lit here, but subtle enough it won’t distract. There is a little touch sensitive area right below the metal housing that will change the colors. There are 10 lighting settings (Lexip orangish, color cycle, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, RGB wave slow, RGB wave fast and off).
The quality is impressive for the price, and the surface has changed my game literally. I had always used softer pads for comfort, but found the transition to a hard mouse pad easier than I expected. The reduced drag is noticeable and worth the move. The surface appears to be adhesed to the acrylic (sufficiently I couldn’t easily pry up the edges). Sandwiching the acrylic on the bottom is an aluminum plate that adds to the rigidity of the pad. Overall this is one solid pad that would be hard to break.
Overall this is an awesome product. There isn’t a whole lot to say about a mouse pad, but the surface, lighting, and build quality all seem excellent. If you’re looking to add a bit of bling to your desk, this is a great way to do it.

Purposeful and Fun High Tech Mouse Pad

The Lexip B5 mouse pad with RGB lighting is definitely high tech. I never thought that a mouse pad could make this much difference. This Lexip B5 is a game changing and has a brilliant surprise of colors for gaming.
• I opened up this attractive and info filled box (in several languages), to find that the Lexip B5 mouse pad was packed incredibly well. You can tell a lot about a product by the materials and the way it is packed. This Lexip B5 screams high tech and that it is a vital part of any gaming computer.
• Setup is easy. Plug into an open USB type A and the Lexip B5 is ready to go by turning on a constant light. The lightning is an amazing show coming out of the Lexip B5. RGB lighting with 7 colors and touch responsive finger print (top middle) changes from a drag, pulsed or constant color. It really adds a special element to game playing that is just basically fun. I know I enjoyed switching up the RGB lighting based on my taste.
• The Lexip B5 dimensions are 13.7”W x 9.8”D x .15”H. My only compliant is that it is a little bit big. I don’t have a lot of room on my desk, so a slightly smaller width and length would have been better for me. But that in no way impacts the usefulness of the Lexip B5. It is very sturdy and once you place it somewhere, it does not move (I used it on glass)! There is a rubber circle on the bottom that holds the mouse still. In the game Everspace, you often have to move quickly and decisively in any direction. The Lexip B5 helped me to obtain that pin-point accuracy and no slipping, even when things got intense. Another nice feature the almost 6ft cord that goes from the mouse pad to the USB attachment. There is plenty of thread to move it from one side or the other of your gaming machine.
• The well balanced, stable plastic and metal combine to fortify the Lexip B5 mouse pad. It would take a deliberate act to try and destroy it. Although it is thin and light, you can count on the quality and sturdiness of this mouse pad. It is great tech with great construction.
• That accuracy and precision movement come from a special coating on the Lexip B5 that reduces resistance from the mouse. It really helped me to lock in to enemies or getting minerals while playing Everspace. It was a noticeable difference from other mouse pads I have tried.
The Lexip B5 mouse pad is definitely some great new tech out there. With the weight and dimensions and rugged materials this mouse pad truly set apart. I really love the colorful RGB lighting and the smooth yet tactile surface. Overall, the Lexip B5 mouse pad is a great addition to your gaming (computing) system.

At about 10 inches x 14 inches, this thing is massive and has some weight to it due to the metal backing. With padded footings, it will not scratch any surface it’s placed on though.
It is powered via a USB cord; this can be plugged in to a regular power outlet via a USB plug (not included).
The 70 inch braided long cord facilitates powering this by means of an outlet as previously described. This may be beneficial to those who may not want this perpetually powered by the PC USB port.
The pad comes with 7 solid colors and 2 color changing modes. To toggle through the various colors, you touch/gently press the section with the “fingerprint” design. LED is bright enough to be visible in daylight. The surface has the right balance of friction for easy movement and promote pleasant use. Not being a gamer, I was still able to justify use for this pad in my office at work; it really is that cool! I did notice the toggle switch wasn't very responsive at times. It appears it may be a capacitative sensor and probably doesn't register touch from cold fingers.

Large and sturdy, great surface for mouse control.
The special surface texture gives great feedback and smooth control of my mouse. Great for everyday use, even better for CAD and gaming.
The 'fingerprint' located at the edge of the board (pad) makes changing the colored boarder easy and simple.
I admit it: I had it upside down at first and was hating the bump near the thumbprint. Then I realized I had to just turn it around. DUH!
After my moment of clarity I really fell in love with the surface feel the tray gives my mouse. You can find this as a set with LEXIP's mouse controllers at a savings. Love the colored LED border!

The Lexip B5 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad is a fantastic mousepad with terrific RGB lighting.
This pad is very rigid and did not slide at all during my “Game on” testing. The size is just right to fit even on my cramped desk and be able to provide an excess range of motion for any game or application.
This mousepad performed exceedingly well in first-person shooters where there was extremely low drag and great tracking.
It has 9 pre-programmed RGB modes (6 static colors and 3 animations), which were easily accessible with the integrated button at the top of the mouse pad.
The 6-foot braided cable is a welcomed touch of quality on a busy gamer's desk. One slight negative is that a braided mouse cable makes a little noise when dragged across the mouse pad but is unnoticeable if sound is playing.
Overall, the sleek design, low drag, and metal construction make this mouse pad one of the best. Have used and tested many top gaming pads and the Lexip B5 is a solid winner
Lexip B5 Mousepad delivers flawless mouse control and advanced precision control in the heat of the battle while the edge lighting brings on heighten game immersion.

IN THE BOX:
Mouse pad with braided USB cord attached and user manual.
SETUP:
Plug into a USB port and tap the fingerprint on the mouse pad to choose the lighting of your choice. It is that simple.
DESCRIPTION:
The mouse easily glides over the pad, especially if you have the Lexip ceramic feet. It doesn’t seem to drag like with a rubber mouse pad. It has quick reaction when gaming. It has a non-slip base so if you are really into your game, it won’t move around on you. This mouse pad must be plugged into a USB port to use the RGB color lighting effects.
CLEAN UP:
I was wondering how to clean this mouse pad and it warns not to get liquids on it. I must admit this bothers me a bit because I do have a tendency to have a beverage near me while I am at the computer…especially when gaming. The user manual suggests using an antistatic cloth to clean the surface.
PROS:
Really cool feature! I love that I can choose the lighting colors of the mouse pad that surrounds the outside to match the lighting color of my mouse. Although, I sometimes like to use a cool contrasting color.
CONS:
I was quite surprised to see the size of this mouse pad compared to the ones I am used to. I suggest, if you are not used to this style, you will need to make room.

I don't know about you, but with the advent of laser mice, often times we just roll our mouse around on whatever surface we have. And in my case, my desk becomes a mess and infringes on my mouse space. Plus, the surface doesn't always lend itself to accurate mouse use. Gaming? Forget it, you need every advantage you can have. Using AutoCAD, like I do at work? You need accuracy and space to move the mouse around.
This mousepad, besides looking beyond cool, is very functional. It has a special surface that lets you move the mouse around accurately, but not too smooth that you move past your target. I find it to be the perfect accessory for those of us who stopped using mouse pads, and didn't realize how important they really were. Pair this up with the Lexip gaming mouse and you definitely have a winning combination!
The bonus is the very cool lighting. You can simply press the area that has the finger shown, and flip through the frame colors. And you can also go with a changing color too. This is the icing on the cake.
So, looking for something unique, that seems like it is worth 10x more than it really is? This is the one!

XL Gaming Mouse Pad That Shines

---SETUP---
Never had a mouse pad that required setup. Luckily, this one is easy. The hard mouse pad comes with an attached, non-removable USB cable that you plug into an open USB slot into your PC to allow for RGB lighting.
---FEATURES---
The key feature of this mouse pad is is slick, sturdy surface, rubberized bottom, and 7 LED light options that can be changed with the touch of a button.
---PERFORMANCE---
The performance Though there are seven different light options, you have 9 cycles to change through. The 7 colors (in order of appearance are: orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, pink. The 2nd, 8th, and 9th button presses cycle through the colors at various speeds. The mouse pad itself is responsive and doesn’t feel like it impacts gameplay negatively or positively. There is an audible noise that emits when dragging the mouse across the pad, being its a sturdy surface as opposed to cloth or rubber. It is something to consider when gaming with a mouse and keyboard, especially if you also have a clicky keyboard. That’s more noise pollution added to your gaming room.
---EXPECTATIONS---
The product meets my expectations. It’s very spacious measuring at approximately 13 ½ by 9 ¾ inches. Make sure you have enough space next to your keyboard before purchase. The button to change color on the mousepad looks like a fingerprint and is embedded into the pad, so it won’t get in the way of gaming sessions. Compared to my other PC hardware that change color, this one lacks certain features such as syncing the same color with the keyboard, mouse, or headset.
---VALUE---
The price for the mouse pad in terms of value is affordable if you are seeking a different kind of mouse pad.
---APPROVAL---
I highly recommend this product for people who want to have a complete setup where everything, from PC to mouse to keyboard to mouse pad are glowing and changing colors.

I'm not the best PC gamer, but what I do know is that accuracy is very important. And this pad makes for some serious movement and accuracy in the right hands of the right gamer. I'm working on it though. But what makes this pad so impressive, is the fact that not only is it perfect for a gamer's skill level, but it's also very stylish. This will make your gaming or even surfing session, look good. And at the price, I find it really hard not to recommend this to any stylish PC enthusiast or PC gamer. The only caveat, is the size. Make sure you've got space for it. Other than that, it's a total keeper.

Who knew what a difference a mousepad makes

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've never entertained the idea of getting a fancy mousepad before. But from the moment I put my mouse on it, I realized what I've been missing. It felt like I even had a new mouse with how easily it glided across the surface. I even felt more in control of the cursor on the screen than I ever have been before.
I was impressed even before then though. I hadn't heard of Lexip before and wasn't sure of the quality, but the moment I held the packaging and opened it up, I had no doubts. Yes, the packaging is that good, and the pad itself is sturdy and heavy. It's a good heavy though, the kind that gives you confidence in the product. Along with the feet underneath, you never have to worry about the pad moving around on you.
Now I'm not a pc gamer, which would explain why I haven't looked at mousepads before, but I am a software developer, so needless to say, I'm in front of a computer a lot. My work station is comprised of a laptop plus 2 large external monitors. So I have plenty of screen real estate to navigate across, which brings me to my next point.
This mousepad is big! You definitely want to make sure you have enough desk space for this. And if you keep your keyboard and mouse on one of those pullout drawers, it probably won't fit. But for the first time ever, I'm able to use my mouse without my wrist ever scraping across the edge of the pad. I never realized how much something as simple as a mousepad can affect how comfortable my hand and wrist feel.
That said, with my mouse settings, even with 2 external monitors, I only use maybe half of the real estate the pad has.
Not only does the pad feel good, it looks good! I already have an rgb keyboard and mouse, so I love adding more color to my desk. The "fingerprint" touch feature to change the color mode is awesome. I love being able to change it without pulling up a program on my computer. Plugged in to my personal MacBook pro, the lighting works flawlessly.
If there is one negative, it's the metal piece at the top that the pad cable comes out of. The side edges are a bit sharp, so if you're using a wired mouse, depending on where its positioned, the mouse wire can catch on that edge. It's not enough of a negative for me to pull a star, but I'm also not a gamer, where that might be more of an issue.
Finally, I want to bring up that in the manual, it clearly states that the pad works with Windows and MacOS, but not Linux. It also states not to use a usb hub. Well, my work computer runs Ubuntu on Linux, and it only has 3 usb-c ports, so I have to run a hub. Plus that hub doesn't have enough standard usb ports, so to use the pad with lighting, I had to add a 2nd hub. The moment I plugged it in, the pad lighting worked. Unfortunately though, there are bugs. Even when I sacrificed the power cord to plug the pad directly into the laptop, the lighting effects were inconsistent. During use the pad would just randomly switch modes on its own. I can't fault the product for this though since it wasn't intended (according to the manual) to even work in this setup.

The missing piece of your RGB build

My initial thought as I was removing it from the box was "Wow, this is heavy." Seeing that it weighs just over 3 pounds, this makes sense. However, how often to you need to lift up and move your mousepad? The weight, combined with the non-slip feet, keeps the mousepad planted even while gaming. Since it's made of metal, the Lexip B5 doesn't fold or flex unless you are deliberately trying to do so. The textured surface works well with my optical mouse while not being rough enough to notice when you rest your hand on it.
Setup is nearly foolproof. Take it out of the box, place it where you want it, and plug it into your preferred USB port. No software to install, no initialization, it's ready and working the moment you plug it in. Literally the only thing possible to mess up is the USB orientation since it utilizes a type A connector. This brings me to my one gripe about this mousepad; the RGB "customization". The RGB lighting is not actually customizable, merely selectable. You can choose one of 7 solid colors or 2 different color changing patterns. The only purpose of plugging it into a USB port is to provide the mousepad with power. There is no way to adjust the brightness, choose a specific color, or to create a unique pattern. The only interface you have is the touch sensor located underneath the fingerprint icon at the top of mousepad. While I wish I had more control of the color scheme, the fact that I didn't need to download and run a dedicated program in the background is worth the sacrifice, at least for me. Plus, you can simply use a wall adapter and a household outlet to power it instead of your computer. This would be particularly helpful if you only have a few USB ports available.
I didn't think I was going to like the Lexip B5 mousepad as much as I do. Except for customizability, it is exactly what it claims to be. It is a sturdy, rigid RGB mousepad that stays where you put it. Even with the limited color selection, it can be incorporated into your RGB build nicely.

Basic RGB Mouse Pad.

This is a decent X-Large gaming mouse pad. It has a nice texture and the perfect amount of friction for the Lexip PU94 gaming mouse, or the MO42 ceramic mouse feet/pads. It also works well with the standard gaming mouse feet that most mice come with. Price wise, this one is a bit on the high end. While there are more expensive RGB mouse pads out there, this one is right up there. Function wise, it's very basic. There is no software support. There is no way to customize the color. All you get are nine presets you can scroll through. One annoying thing is that when my PC shuts off, the mouse pad does not. You have to manually scroll through the settings to find the off setting.
Things I like:
1.) Nice texture
2.) RGB
Things I don't like:
1.) Not able to customize color (no software support)
2.) Doesn't power off with PC
3.) Price

I wanted to like this mouse pad. On presentation when I received it, the pad was packaged as beautifully as an Apple product and the mouse pad itself has a solid weight to it that boasts of quality. A braided cable (huge plus) and nice rubber pads underneath to prevent slipping are additional appreciated features. The hard surface of the mousepad itself is has a great feel and texture and tracked wonderfully while playing FPS games like Doom 2016 and COD Modern Warfare (2019). The downsides along with the price though, are what make this mousepad a no go for me at this point.
First of all, when Lexip refers to this as being "customizable" with its RGB, it means that it has a janky touch sensor at the top of the mouse pad that scrolls through 7 options for lighting. This touch sensor is often inadvertently triggered during frenetic gaming sessions and I found it almost useless for having any real control. Lexip has a lighting customization program they use for their Lexip Pixel mouse, it would have been nice to have control of the mouse pad's RGB with that program instead of the touch sensor. Thus, the USB-A power on this mouse pad is really a wasted USB port on your computer (a precious commodity for many). You might as well just plug this in to a wall USB-A adapter for the power purpose this cable serves.
All this together, and it is difficult to recommend this mousepad when there are selections at this price point from Razer, Corsair, etc. that offer full customization as well as other features like calibration. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.

The quality of this mousepad is immediately obvious. The beautiful finish and attention to detail is easy to appreciate. I was worried when I read that the configuration software requires windows, since I am a Linux user, but then I discovered the touch sensitive spot at the top of the mousepad that also controls the configuration. The coloring and mode of the RGB effects is easily controlled in seconds and is platform independent. I think this is a great mousepad and a wonderful addition to my development system, uh... I know the complaint is that the button to change the colors on this mouse pad interferes with the mouse or mouse wiring, but I have not had any troubles at all with it. I like the pad to change colors anyway like a couple of the settings do have. It would be cool to have more colors and effects but it is worth its price in my opinion. I think it is a good price for this mouse pad. The texture feels smooth, fast, and has been great for flicking and other techniques. The 4 grips on the bottom of the mouse pad has been very useful with no sliding. Does not have that clothy feeling. We've had this mouse pad in a few streams already and have gotten plenty of compliments.

I was not sure what to expect with Lexip B5 Mouse Pad with RGB Lighting. I’ve had mixed feelings on the current Lexip line up – their Pu94 mouse with a joystick is unique but a little too niche to be widely accepted and their ceramic sliding feet for mice is just a gimmick. With their mouse pad, my expectations were not high. However, the results are mostly good with some caveats. Let’s review the pros and cons.
Pros –
Huge 10” x 14” surface with decent weight. While I like the large surface areas to work on , I can see some users with small desk space having hard time.
Stays in place with rubberized footings (also will not scratch surfaces.)
Great build quality. For a mouse pad, this thing is solid and refined. I would put it at the same quality an Apple product
RGB lighting that you can change with a touch.
Long braided USB cord (about 6 feet.) Easily can reach an outlet if you do not want to power it through a USB port on your computer
Slightly textured surface provides a tactile feel as the mouse moves.
Cons –
The lights were inconsistent and did not stay on the mode I had picked. To be honest, I could not care less about lights. To me , it’s a gimmick that wears off real fast . However, young gamers may love it.
The cost is $40. I know it is not a lot of money but let’s face it – it is a mousepad. Wait for a sale if you are going to by one.
Cannot use with a USB hub.
Conclusion
I’ve used this Lexip mouse pad for about a week. I’ve tried it with games, everyday use and Photoshop. I’m not a big PC gamer and really did not notice any advantage . In fact , the mouse did fall off the mouse pad a few times even though it is large. That was more on me but it can happen. For everyday use, no noticeable benefits. However, I did find a bit better precision in Adobe Photoshop. Not a huge amount but there was a difference. So who is this mouse pad really for? The target audience is should be gamers or enthusiast who are looking for the final piece of lighting to compliment their mouse, keyboard and computer . If you are one of those that fits into that category, then this is a home run and I recommend it. For all others, it probably will be more a novelty that anything else.
