Installed the 12K LG dual inverter unit for a sun room. Unit is very quite compared to an 18K Kenmore unit that was removed. Much lower power consumption than its predecessor only requiring a 15A 120 volt circuit. Power saving feature is not disruptive and the slow ramp up and down of the of the compressor does not cause power surges. An excellent upgrade. No need for WiFi connections since I leave it unplugged when not in use. (Florida thunderstorms) If you live in a coastal area, consider carefully painting the bare metal parts inside with fish oil or cold galvanizing paint. Years ago, wall units (Carrier) used to galvanize the sheet metal parts exposed to moisture. If LG can pull that off, Five stars!

Very cool. But very heavy-- in case you think you can move this thing alone. I like the ease of use its not the strongest, but it does cool my big living/ dining area. I like that i can turn it on from anywhere in the city. It also connects to my phone and lg tv, giving me multiple ways to access the ac unit. It self diagnoses, and tells you when theres any issues or filter needs.

Very powerful AC. Barely above a whisper unless full speed at cold setting. Built well but with caveats. One, the plastic tab that is inserted into the cabinet for the sliding mechanism? Not a very good design. Cheap plastic that was incredibly difficult to insert. Also, doesn't make sense to me why you have to remove the AC from its cabinet in the first place? Just design everything all inclusive. Adds to a large possibility of breaking a valuable internal component rendering it useless. For a 12000 btu ac it's big. Barely fit in a regularly sized window. You can tell the dual inverter tech will indeed help with energy usage. Seems to take much less than the 8000 btu unit it replaced. Overall very pleased. None of the issues mentioned would come close to keep us from purchasing again.

We only bought this a month ago, May 16, 2025 but it seems to be working really well. It cools an entire upstairs (equal to three rooms) of the house that gets really hot. Now it’s really cool.

I didnt give a 5 because 1 I have only used little over 1 month so far and 2 it did come damaged dented and screen parts crushed in a couple places but it works great so far. I have seen a difference in electric usage in my bill will know next month for sure how great it is.

This AC is great super quiet super cold and you can turn it on and control it from anywhere with the App.

The AC works great but the outside cover was damaged in transit. Now the product isn’t available, so I can’t replace it. Watch out when having a deliver sent to your home. Make sure the box isn’t banged up and damaged.

I ordered an AC unit and had it delivered to my parents’ house. What we received was clearly used, defective, and broken. The AC does not work at all, the frame is broken, and the back of the unit is dented. It looks like it has been used by someone else for a long time before being shipped to us. This is completely unacceptable for a retailer like Best Buy. I’ve already initiated a return and am disputing the credit card charge due to the condition of the product. Extremely disappointed — I expected better quality control.

Unit came damaged from the factory, Damage was painted over at the factory. Won't ever buy a AC from Best Buy or LG. Both company's coustomer service was a joke.

Great energy efficiency, turns itself on and off to keep the room just right, quiet and nice looking a/c.

This air conditioner gets five stars for performance--cools beautifully, quiet, with nice features, including wi-fi. But I have to take a point off because it is heavy, large and hard to install. It is considerably bigger than the 12,000 BTU unit it replaced, and weighs close to 100 lbs. There were many steps to the installation, including assembling the side curtains, which use the same cheap black plastic guides on the bottom. One snapped while I was installing it so its now held in place with duct tape. My advice is to have a professional install this one for you.

Powerful, efficient, quiet. It's exactly what we wanted for our bedroom. It's so cold I have to pull up the covers! :)

Love this AC unit. Perfect for our livingroom. The App makes it so convenient to turn it on remotely (live in the Valley - hot days this is a great feature)! Even tells me when I need to clean air filter on my phone. Fan is strong as well on the unit! Loved it so much, bought a second, smaller unit for my bedroom. Quiet too!

This air conditioner is very large for a 12,000 BTU unit and the guides from the bottom for the side. Lures are complete garbage as they are plastic and you need to install them. Good luck the unit works great especially the Wi-Fi cools nicely. Make sure you have a bracket to hold it during install

I love this ac unit. I'm told it is quiet from my guests. I can control it away from home and from the comfort of my bed, which is a plus for me. I find that the flat design of the ac looks better, unlike other ac units with a front grill. Yes, I would recommend this unit to my family and friends.

Very happy I purchased a second unit for my house! I purchased my first 2 years ago. Both do a fantastic job at cooling and conserving power! I’m able to monitor power consumption on the LG ThinQ app while also checking diagnostics. Icing on the cake is being able to control my units from anywhere through the app! The savings on power consumption make the higher price tag worth it! The units are definitely quieter than normal window units. I’m already considering a third to replace my old window unit after monitoring its power consumption compared to the two dual inverter units combined after just one day!
