I bought several different ones but all of them can’t be compared with the remarkable this LG air conditioning, it is not loud and easy to install. Highly recommend it.

Repackaged unit sold as NEW

I can't even tell if this AC works or not because I received a repackaged unit that was dirty, damaged by FedEx, and missing the remote. We had some challenges immediately after delivery and it wasn't opened right away. When we did open it, I contacted customer service right away but they only said I was past the 15 day return period and refused to do anything. Apparently Best Buy is unaware that in the state of Georgia, BY LAW they have to honor returns for 30 days. I've never had an issue with BB before, but I will be hesitant to make larger purchases in the future.

Bad QC - Leak In Condensation Basin Ruined Floors

Received unit that was cracked on bottom and leaking. Opened it up to track down the leak after stepping in a puddle in the corner of my room and found that there were several screws just rattling around inside the unit as several broken pieces of plastic.
The leak ruined about 50-100 sq ft of flooring too.
So frustrating. No damage to the box or packaging that I could tell, so the crack on the underside condensation basin must have happened at the factory.
Super frustrating.
Sadly the leak was so slow that of course I didn't notice until after return window had closed. Just wish I could swap it out for one that isn't damaged. Never would have crossed my mind to flip it over to examine the bottom. Now I have to replace carpets and several hundred dollars of flooring.

LG, portable AC

The positives are that the unit is nicely designed with respect to appearance and the wheels and handles help with portability as the unit is quite heavy. The unit cools a large room well without difficulty. It is relatively quiet. It is easy to unpack and assemble. The two downsides are a relatively short hose, which does not allow for positions beyond the window housing the hose. Also the insulating foam is very flimsy and tears easily. I suspect it will not last very long after exposure to the elements. Much heavier duty weatherstripping would been better.

Needed something for the home office/gaming room to supplement the central AC. 4090s get hot.
I selected this LG Portable AC unit for two reasons...one was the variable-speed condenser for low(er) noise. And second, because it was self evaporating and wouldn't need to be emptied when being used as an AC.
So far, the unit has proved to be fairly quiet. Not as quiet as I had hoped, but quiet enough given the cooling performance it offers. If I am watching, playing, or listening to something at a reasonable volume, I do not notice the AC unit on Low and Medium settings. On High, it's loud as expected.
The self evaporating feature has worked flawlessly. I've ran this AC unit for nearly two weeks straight, 8-12 hours a day...no issues, no leaks.
So why 4 stars instead of 5?
The remote isn't great. It works, but it can't read any of the current settings from the AC unit...so you need to keep pressing buttons on the remote until the remote reads the settings you want.
The WiFi was problematic at first. I had to go through the setup 3-4 times before it finally worked consistently. The app is a much better control option than the remote.
The window kit is also just OK. The foam feels a bit cheap and has no adhesive backing causing it to shift when you're doing your final fitments. The hose is also somewhat short. LG wants you to position the hose in such a way that it has a top "arch" to prevent water from entering the unit through the open window. If you do set it up this way, you will need to place the unit very close to the window. The third issue with the window kit is the fitment of the hose on the AC unit's backside. Depending on the position of the air hose, it has a very small, but audible air leak. Not a huge issue as I positioned the unit in a way that provided more downforce on that particular area of hose causing it to seal properly, but still, something to be aware of on an expensive unit like this.
All in all, initial reliability and performance have been great. Wish it was a tad quieter at the lowest setting. Accessories should be made to a higher standard of quality given the increased cost of this over a comparable window unit.
4/5

Lifesaver for Hot Days: A Review of the Easy-Move

This summer, I finally bit the bullet and bought a portable air conditioner, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. Gone are the days of sweltering in my apartment, resigned to the fact that central air wasn't an option. This little machine has been a lifesaver, and here's why:
Effortless Convenience
Setting up the air conditioner was a breeze. The instructions were clear and concise, and I had it unpacked and operational in no time. The controls are intuitive and user-friendly, with a digital display that makes it easy to adjust settings and monitor temperature.
Cool Comfort on the Go
The best part about this air conditioner is, as the name suggests, its portability. It's equipped with caster wheels, which makes it surprisingly easy to move from room to room. This flexibility is amazing. If I'm working from home in my office, I can bring the cool air right to me. When I want to relax in the living room in the evening, I can move it there with minimal effort.
Smart Features for Applause
Who knew a portable air conditioner could be so smart? This one boasts Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing me to control it remotely using my phone. This is a fantastic feature, especially on scorching days. I can turn it on before I get home from work, so my apartment is nice and cool when I walk through the door. No more waiting for the air conditioner to kick in after I'm already hot and sweaty!
Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with this portable air conditioner. It's easy to use, cools efficiently, and the portability with the caster wheels is a game-changer. The fact that I can control it with my phone is the cherry on top. If you're looking for a way to beat the heat and stay comfortable in your apartment, I highly recommend this portable air conditioner.

Here's a more casual and personal version:

**Product: LG Portable Air Conditioner**
I recently picked up the LG Portable Air Conditioner for my parents, and it's been a total win. This thing is a beast—it cools the room down fast, and it’s super easy to move around and set up. My parents are loving it, and it's made their lives way more comfortable during this heatwave. People stay longer!
Huge thanks to Best Buy for making the whole process so smooth. Ordering online was a breeze, delivery was quick, and the AC showed up in perfect shape. If you’re in the market for a solid portable AC, this LG model is the way to go, and Best Buy made it all too easy. Definitely recommend!

These are the best portable air conditioners I've ever used. I bought one back in 2021, and I was impressed how perfectly comfortable it kept my large living room. Surprisingly energy efficient, as far as Air Conditioners go. The noise level is negligible. On the highest fan setting, it's noticeable in my living room while watching TV on my home theater, but not terrible. I actually found that running it at medium speed after the initial room cool down was more than enough to keep the place comfortable! (My living room is about 300sq ft, and we have surprisingly terrible ventilation...so this place turns into a SoCal oven fast in the summer!)

Incredible ac! Extremely cold air shoots out of this small beast! The swing function on the vents really push the air all throughout the room. Also, it is quiet. You can carry on a conversation and not crank up the tv volume, even when the compressor kicks in. I highly recommend this one for large rooms. It’s a powerhouse.

This thing is ahhhhmazing. It's relatively quiet and cools quickly. I have an upstairs east facing apartment and it gets HOT in the summer, the building AC is not strong enough. This portable unit makes the apartment livably cool even on days when it's 100F outside. It's so easy to set up and use, the manual had good instructions for connecting the vent to the window. No complaints!

I bought two units to replace older ACs. One was delivered damaged and has been returned, but the other unit has been perfect. It runs colder yet significantly quieter and more energy efficient than the older units I had previously.
Rating 4* on quality since the box and shipping materials do not ship well–even the box for the AC which was not damaged was falling apart, so LG needs to reinforce their boxes better for shipping given how heavy and expensive these machines are.

I purchased this LG 14,000 BTU Smart Portable Air Conditioner last summer, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to my home. It does an excellent job cooling both my living room and dining area—definitely powerful enough for medium to large spaces. Setup was straightforward, and I appreciate the smart features that make it easy to control remotely.
The only downside I've noticed is that it can be a bit noisy at night, which might be something to consider if you're planning to use it in a bedroom. That said, during the day, the sound isn’t really noticeable, and the cooling performance makes up for it.
All in all, a good, reliable unit—worth it if you need efficient cooling in warmer months!

The reviews were honest, it kept up with 110 degree heat in a 3 bedroom house. The only complaint is that the hosing to go out is too short and there isn’t a locking mechanism on the hose to the unit so its prone to pop out and blow heat inside just wasting energy.
