It connects to other devices on it's own, The sound is great but everytime you turn it on the sound is louder than it was when you turned it off. The speaker is unaffected when you use the T.V remote but when you use the remote from the speaker the volume does go up.

Purchased this to connect with my LG smart TV because the volume on the tv is terrible and it hard to listen over our loud AC. I was surprised after connecting and turning it on the sound quality. I had to turn it down. The one bad thing is you have to use both TV and sound bar remote. (not universal)

Our TV/TV stand leaves little room for a normal soundbar but this one fits nicely in the spot we have. Definitely beats the TV speakers, but I have heard a few pops here and there. I’m not positive if that’s the soundbar or me hearing things though. My Xbox is able to control it, which is also neat.

Great sound quality for tv but not for music It's a nice sleek design

Great for those who want a low-cost solution to tinny sounding speakers on their beautiful high definition TV. Easy setup out of the box, includes optical cable that fits most recent tv models. Can even setup your tv or cable remote to control volume in some cases, or use included remote.

This is a great soundbar for a bedroom and smaller TV. It sets up easy and isn't too big and sounds solid

Purchased this as a gift for my mother who wanted better sound from her TV. Before giving it I decided to test it out via Bluetooth to assess the sound quality. This soundbar sounds great. Very loud clear tones with good differential between the highs and lows. It also puts out a good amount of bass for not having a separate sub-woofer. If you want thumping bass you should probably get a soundbar with a sub-woofer, but for someone who just wants louder better sound out of their TV without taking up a lot of space this LG 2.0 soundbar is a real winner. Syncing via Bluetooth to my Windows 10 PC was simple and easy.

Outstanding sound but would appreciate ability to adjust sound to lower base increase treble

I bought the sound bar for a small gym room. It's a great alternative to the tv speaker. Bluetooth connects easily. The included optical cable help with the install. Didn't like that I cannot see my settings on screen or via any led lights on the sound bar. Can only tell on/off and when it's pairing. Good value for money

I purchased this soundbar as an open box item and I am very happy with the product. I use it for a TV that I mounted outside and does a much better job that the TV speakers. Much easier to hear the TV with all the noise (birds, kids running around, neighbors lawn mower) outside.

I bought this LG soundbar at a great price (open box) for my bedroom TV . Clear, crisp sound with enough bass for any bedroom TV at 32" in a medium sized bedroom. It was purchased to replace the sound on my TV, which even on a high volume number was too low for my liking. For my larger TV, I would buy one with more bass, but this def. serves its purpose well and I am happy with it for a TV sound/volume replacement.

I wanted something small that would sound better than my TV speakers and this LG soundbar fits the bill. It sounds good, certainly better than any TV speaker and it's not that long which is good because I do not have a lot of space. I'm happy with it and can recommend it.

This perfect for small TVs and really like it for its size and output. Portable too so can be used for bluetooth streaming.

Nice and compact. You don't have to crank up the volume much to get good sound from it. One of the selling points was it was one of the few soundbars that included an optical cord.

Great sound from this soundbar. The sound from our TV was pretty bad. The speakers were muffled and worn out. I love the picture on the TV, so I didn’t want to purchase a new one. We added the soundbar, and use it now instead of the internal speakers. Works great, and I didn’t have to replace the TV. The sound is better now than the internal TV speakers. Would definitely recommend. Set up was pretty easy.

I needed a sound bar for a TV that had broken internal speakers. The best thing about this sound bar, beside the much improved sound, is the connectivity. If you use the optical input with the included optical cable, the volume of the TV will work with the Verizon Cable box remote with the sound bar's default settings. Also, the default setting is for the sound bar power to be on "stand by" mode, so it automatically powers off and on. This means the sound bar works without using the remote that came with it!!! Very, Very, handy if you don't want to have to use an extra remote.

Sound bar was easy to set up and works seamlessly with my LG TV though it did take a little time to figure out which TV sound settings worked the best with it. The sound is fine, not great, but is a significant improvement over the internal TV speakers.
