Great microwave oven, just really huge!

Got this a little while ago and I have to say its performance is very good. Heat's very evenly and quickly but it's a very big microwave oven (at least compared to my old one). Takes up quite a bit of counter space and didn't realize just how much until I brought it home but the interior is huge. An 18 x 14 in tray almost fits inside lengthwise, and I have a feeling a large pizza box will fit as well. The touch pad is not as quick as my old one so you do have to wait just a tad to tap in the next number but since it's got 30 second interval one touch starts, it's not a big deal. Won't say the sensor cook and sensor reheat is a gimmick because it does work and it does exactly what it says it does. The problem is, you really have to know the exact weight of the item you want to heat up. Seriously, how many of us really know the exact weight of a leftover meal? I used it several times just to test it out but in day to day life, I don't use it. The only real complaint I have (and it's a minor one) is that the door is very loud when you close it. When it's heating something, it's very quiet and there's a really fun melody letting you know when it's done. After you take the food out and close the door, you really can't close it quietly. Believe me, I've tried but it's just not possible (work on that issue on the next model, LG). Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this, though you may want the smaller one if your countertop space is limited. Hope this helped!

My 20 +years old microwave from Panasonic died. I researched many Brands before deciding on purchasing this LG model. As I found out many brands that were once reliable are throwaways today. The LG NeoChef 2.0 cubic feet microwave is much larger than I needed. But I will have plenty of room inside for large items if I ever need. The microwave is very sturdy and well built. I like that the touchpad controls are made of glass, instead of plastic like the competitors. The 1200 watt microwave heats food very evenly and very fast. My old Panasonic was 1100 Watts and the LG blows it away. It not only heats way more evenly, but also quicker. The LG is very quiet when operating. And the controls are very simple and somewhat basic. The sensor reheat and sensor cook functions work very well and are very accurate. I really liked the design of the turntable and it's support ring underneath the turntable. It makes the turntable very very stable. The interior is truly very easy to clean as advertised. It's almost like a porcelain type coating on the inside. And I also like the energy-efficient LED interior lighting. I don't know why some people were complaining about the end of cycle chimes when your food is done. I don't find it annoying at all. I think it's it's new and different. And makes the microwave more high-tech and expensive sounding with the Chimes. The only thing I will miss, is it does not have a way to adjust the clock for daylight savings time. Which my old model had. I'm looking forward to getting many years of use out of this LG As It seems very well-made and durable.

We upgraded from Panasonic Costco unit (1.2 Cu, 1200 Watts) to LG (2.0 Cu, 1200 Watts). I have been using the product for a year and very happy with it. LG has LED lights and easy to clean the mess. Lights turn on when you open the door or while in use. (I believe they have some antibacterial coating as well). Both microwaves have inverter technology, but I found LG’s defrosting and warming more even. I haven’t tried cooking mode yet. Turntable is more stable than Panasonic, at least it feels so. Despite the size 2.0 vs 1.2 and the same power input, LG does the job little faster. LG’s look very stylish/sexy. LG is moderate noisy (not harsh) and has pleasant welcoming beep. LG is huge, for comparison I put inside 6 Qt Inner Cooking pot (Instant Pot) – see pic. I have been using LG products for many years and they have very good warranty service/support in case anything happens to the product, so far it’s been great microwave.

We had an LG microwave for about 2 years and 10 months when it stopped heating. Unfortunately we didn’t buy an extended warranty at the time of purchase even though I almost always do whenever I buy an appliance. I was determined to shop around and buy a different brand, but after much searching, I decided the best bang for my buck was another LG. Also I am fairly sure that the reason our original LG stopped working was because we used a product called a Reheatza in our microwave to reheat pizza. That Reheatza now resides in some landfill. Along with the new LG, I purchased a 4 year warranty this time. The LG seems to work in all the ways a microwave should. It cooks food well and it reheats food evenly. The tune that it sounds with after the cooking is better than the old beeping annoying noise, in my opinion. If you purchase this, my advice is buy the extended warranty just in case. And NEVER use the Reheatza!!

This replaced a not-so-old Frigidaire model that we hated. The LG is great. It heats evenly and quickly. The control panel is touch-sensitive - the buttons are not physical, and it requires very little pressure for the touch to be sensed. We haven’t had it long enough to figure out if the "smart" inverter makes a difference. There are a few ways in which this could be improved, but they don’t detract from our overall satisfaction. There are fewer sensor settings than we have had on other models. For example, there is no setting to soften butter. Also, aside from pressing "start" to add 30 seconds, there is no "quick" timer function where, for example, you can press "2" and then "start" for 2 minutes. Instead, you have to press "2-0-0-start." Some reviewers complained about the "song" tones. We don’t mind them. They aren’t very long and they are mellow. They are much better than the harsh beeps of our previous microwaves. And, unlike our last model, they shut off as soon as you open the door.

Looks great, works great. Seems to cook well. Everything thus far is as advertised & expected in a countertop microwave. However only in use less than a month. Two things could be improved in my opinion: The +30 feature requiring multiple touches is not as intuitive as simply pressing one single button once for instant minute timing. But 30 second iincrememts can be more pecise. Also the entire "door open" pushbutton (bar) should be able to be pressed anywhere on its lenght rather than just one corner to open. The faint indlcators on the button make it necessary to learn that fact by trial & error. Has sensor cooking but again not intuitive & requires studying manual & then having to remember or look up the codes each use. After more use maybe that becomes routine?? One more thing. It is lightweight. So much so that slides on counter when pushing bar to open. But that is partially fault of having to push that bar in just the exact spot.

This LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Family-Size Microwave replaced a microwave that I'd had for at least ten years; I wanted to upgrade and get something slightly larger - this more than fits the bill. The unit is big enough to fit a whole chicken (possibly a small turkey) - that should give some idea of the inner dimensions. It has a good amount of "quick" options (Sensor Cook/Reheat, Defrost, etc.), and seems to heat things through quickly and easily. The unit itself is very sleek-looking - I quite like the black, and it fits well with my other kitchen appliances. I know there are people who complain about the musical tones that sound intermittently; I'd much rather that than the beeps that other microwaves have. All in all, I'm very happy with this microwave, and would recommend it for families.

I bought this LG microwave oven on December 19, 2017 and it failed 6 days later on December 25, 2017 as I was preparing Christmas dinner for my family; the food was still raw after 40 to 50 minutes of cooking on high power. Thinking the microwave may have just overheated, I gave it one last chance to perform, and today, 12-29-2017, I attempted to reheat a small, personal size portion of some leftover food; after 15 minutes on high power, the food was still cold. Against my better judgement, I bought this LG microwave oven after reading several bad reviews about it, but I bought it anyway because another model of LG microwave oven was listed as one of the top 5 models to buy in the 2017 Consumer Reports Buying Guide. However, I will NOT be buying any more LG microwave ovens. I did not want to give this LG microwave oven any rating at all, but the website for submitting reviews forced me to give it a rating; so, I gave it the lowest rating that I could -- one star out of five stars.

My old microwave worked great up until the door latch broke. Upon reading reviews on other microwaves I found out that this was a common problem with this brand. I had to throw away a perfectly good microwave because of a broken door latch. While reading reviews on microwaves I found out that there is a lot of junk on the market right now. Spend a little time doing research, you won't regret it. This microwave had good reviews and it had all the bells and whistles on it that I wanted. Some reviewers complained about the musical tones it plays when it is done but I don't find them objectionable at all. My only problem that I have with this one is that it has several levels of sensor reheat. I'm having a little trouble remembering which sensor level goes with what kind of food but that is just a learning process for me. I don't find that it is a detraction from the usability of the microwave. All in all, I like it very much.

I was so excited to purchase this microwave. I did a lot of research and stayed away from other brands as the customer service had poor ratings. I loved the way this microwave worked for the month it worked. Like others giving it a low rating, I was heating up food and it was ice cold after 4 minutes. When I added more time, the microwave tripped my circuit breaker. It tripped the breaker each time I tried to use it. It finally just wouldn't even light up at all. I had an electrician come and test all my outlets. We tried plugging the microwave into 4 different outlets. Power was coming out of the unit to the plug but not even lighting the clock. I called customer service and am waiting for the email telling me how to get my money back. I sure hope I can get a true refund. From what I am reading here, it is not likely.

This LG microwave is definitely a good unit. It has 1200 watts which is more than adequate. It has several modes including sensor reheat, which I use to reheat cups of coffee and plates of food. It automatically sets the right amount of time depending on which sensor reheat number you choose. I love popcorn and this unit has a separate POPCORN selection which work perfectly, It manages to cook every kernel without burning any. It has a large 2.0 cu ft to fit most anything. I like the sleek look and the chime it plays when it's done cooking. The one thing I do not like is that by design, Black Stainless steel, the control panel is dark with only the clock eliminated. I would recommend that LG provide lighting behind all the control panel making all the selections easy to read without additional lighting in your kitchen. Despite this I recommend this product.

So, I was looking for a microwave that would fit with the trim kit that was previously installed which was for a Kenmore Elite. Frustratingly, the current Kenmore Elite did not fit the 14 year old version. I went to Best Buy because I figured they would have the displays available that I could measure and see the cabinet details. Sure enough I found that this LG had EXACTLY the same cabinet as the old Kenmore I was replacing. I mean down to the screw holes, it was amazing. The microwave is large, VERY QUIET, and the interior being a mottled grey seems cleaner than the almond or white most common on these things. It's very sleek and modern looking. I am satisfied and very pleased with the store for the # of options available to peruse.

This LG microwave is definitely worth a place on your kitchen counter... It's 1200 watts gives it enough power to cook quickly. It has several modes including sensor reheat, which I use to reheat cups of coffee and plates of food. It automatically sets the right amount of time depending on which sensor reheat number you choose. It has a large 2.0 cu ft to fit most anything. I like the sleek look and the chime it plays when it's done cooking is easily heard from another room (though some may find this annoying, it doesn't bother me). Overall, I recommend this product.

I own an LG Drier and Refrigerator and very happy with both. When it came to purchasing a new microwave 14 months ago, I had no problem purchasing another LG product. About 10 months in, we had problems with the door. It wouldn't open because moisture would get in the seal and create a vacuum lock so we were constantly keeping the door edge clean after each use. After 14 months, the microwave shutdown in the middle of cooking and tripped the circuit breaker. Since it is out of warranty, customer service informed me LG is not proving support. So if you want to waste your money and buy a disposable microwave that will last just over a year, buy this one. As for me, this will be the last LG product I'm buying.

I bought this microwave as a replacement when my ancient microwave's door-release quit working. My only true criteria were that the microwave had to be of comparable size (2.0 Cu. Ft.) and a minimum 1100 watts of power. This product fit the bill and the price was reasonable. The display is bright and clear (easy to read even when I'm not wearing my glasses). We haven't had any spills yet, but I love that this microwave is easy to clean. The turntable ring provides better support for the glass tray than the standard "tripod". The interior is well-lit while cooking and I can peek on the food with ease. The ready chime caught me by surprise the first time. I'm used to a simple "ding" or "beep". I get a set of bells..LOL

We bought this as a replacement for a GE unit that had seen years of good service. We had recently purchased an LG stove and fridge that we really liked, so decided to give one of their microwave products a try. The unit is large enough to handle all of our jobs, has all of the bells and whistles that we need and matches our other LG appliances. It even plays a cute little tune when the food is ready. The front panel buttons are a bit challenging to decipher. Instead of just hitting a "reheat" button on the front, you have to open the door and follow a written guide posted inside on what type of dish you are heating. A bit cumbersome to me. But once you get the hang of it, the microwave functions extremely well. So far, it's been a good unit!

Not just is it a microwave but it's entertainment. Well, not really... but my teenagers have figured out how to get it to play multiple little ditties and dance around the kitchen to "microwave songs". That being said, it's also a great microwave. It does what's expected, we like the popcorn button and the size is great for all the things that go in there all day long. Because, teenagers eat, all day long... It's also amazingly easy to clean because teenagers are great at eating but when it comes to cleaning, not so much. Thank you Easy Clean! A bowl of water, 3 minutes and a lot of steam. Let it sit for like five mintutes. Take it out and wipe it down in less than 2-3 minutes. That's including cleaning the carousel. If it stinks, put a few drops of lemon juice in the water. Done. We've had it a month and so far so good.

My old microwave totally shut down and I have always liked LG products. I went on to Best Buy’s website found the black stainless and ordered. It was on sale and I also had a Best Buy rewards certificate which made the purchase awesome. It was delivered on 11-8-18 and I immediately set it up and used it. Very quiet and looked great. Yesterday 11-10-18 I proceeded to reheat some food and when I took it out it was still as cold as it was when started. ONLY 2 DAYS OF USE! Tried all the reset procedures then called LG. They took me through the same steps still no heating. Uploaded my receipt in the LG website with my claim number so we will see how this gets handled. May be the last LG product I purchase

The LG microwave is a pretty good microwave. It has a lot of nice features including sensor cooking. Heats things up nicely even in the middle...just need to be aware that the whole principle behind the sensor heating is that it is "reading" the amount of steam generated out of the dish. That means that you have to leave the dish uncovered to some degree to allow that steam to escape. The gray interior is easy to keep clean with soap and water. The interior light makes it easy to check on the cooking while it is occurring. As for the "chime" which the LG uses, yes it is unique in that it is a short few notes rather than the beep sound. It's just different, that's all. That sound is easier to notice when there is something else going on in the house.

Love this microwave. Looks awesome (black stainless steel), love the easy clean interior and the interior lighting. It heats everything quickly. Best Buy's product info stated that this was 1350 watts, which is why I bought this one, but once I got it home, I noticed the box and the user manual said 1200 watts. I was a little disappointed, but it looks and works so beautifully, I decided I could live with the 1200 watts, since my other microwaves were all 1200. I did advise Best Buy of the error, and hopefully will correct it. If you're looking for a really nice microwave, I would very much recommend this one.
