My old LG OTR microwave was nearing end-of-life. Well over 15 years old and suffering years of abuse from ham-handed teenage boys (now adults), the door handle had been superglued together at least 3 times and the keypad was delaminating from the front panel. I selected this new model because it had most of the features of my old one, it's the same size and power, and it didn't have a handle to break! At pickup the BestBuy associate was very friendly and helped me load the microwave into my car: a very pleasant experience. My son helped me install the new microwave onto the previously installed wall bracket. (Thanks LG for retaining essentially the same mount design for all these years! If it isn't broke don't fix it.) Installation was relatively easy. OK, now that it's installed, it works pretty much like the old one, with a few menu changes that we got used to pretty quick. That's fine by me! Only two very minor complaints. The door is full width, about 6 inches wider than the old microwave door, so opening the door is a bit more drama than before. I have to move my head out of the way! Also, while the black glass front looks great, the control panel is nearly illegible in low light conditions, so good luck sneaking into the kitchen late at night to warm up a snack without switching on the lights! It looks great and it cooks food, what more can I ask?

I just picked this up on Saturday to replace a 3-year old GE Profile - 2.1 Cu. Ft microwave that blew an internal fuse. The fuse was impossible to change unless you removed the microwave from the wall. After reading about this being an ongoing issue for other people, I decided to replace the GE altogether. I am blown away by the quality of this microwave compared to the GE: 1) It was so easy to install I was able to install it myself. (I don't trust Best Buy installers anymore after the last few incidents where they a) caused a flood in my home, they lied about it, and Best Buy insurance company wouldn't make good for it, and b) they tore up the vinyl flooring installing my last fridge) 2) It is much lighter than the GE, so installation was easier. 3) It is not as deep or high as the GE, so it fits over my stove better, so I can see things on my stove better, and more room under it, yet the inside has nearly the same volume 4) The door opens better, closes better, and is lighter than the GE. It is more balanced overall, and the door swings open/closes with a feel of quality. 5) The food cooks more evenly. The difference was night and day between this unit and the GE. 6) It looks better and sharper than the GE, with a glossy black front panel and nice black stainless look. 7) It is actually $85 cheaper than the GE model. 8) The 4-stage fan is more powerful, with a turbo mode that really moves air when you need to. 9) Sensor cooking is easier and works better than the GE Profile. 10) The wi-fi connectivity using the ThinQ app is amazing. Setup was simple. Once you connect with the microwave using the app, your phone tells you when something is cooking, and shows you a countdown of remaining time. There's an option to scan common frozen food packages into the app using your phone's camera to automatically set the cook time. You can set the countdown timer remotely. You can set a night light remotely that turns on/off in the night/morning. You can add this device to your Google home app and turn on the light or fan using your voice. Really quite an amazing app! This microwave makes my kitchen look like it got an upgrade. My experience with this microwave has me rethinking GE products and appliances in lieu of LG. I'll likely move over to 100% LG products eventually.

I purchased this LG microwave about a month ago, and we absolutely love it! It heats food quickly and evenly, and the design looks great in our kitchen. The controls are easy to use, and the interior is spacious enough for all our needs. It’s also quieter than our previous microwave, which is a nice bonus. So far, it’s been reliable and works perfectly. Definitely a great purchase—highly recommend!

We are thrilled with this microwave. Our old GE had a handle that was starting to peel from the heat rising from our cooktop. This has no handle and looks perfectly sleek. It is also more powerful than our previous microwave so it heats faster. We also love that we can set cook time to exactly the seconds we want, as opposed to being limited to increments of 15 seconds. I had read that the fact of the front not being backlit was annoying, but I have no need for backlighting on this. I guess if you wanted to operate the microwave in the dark it might become an issue, but who does that? Definitely five stars.

We installed the oven ourselves (we’re definitely not handyman pros), and it was actually pretty easy — especially after my wife convinced me to use the provided template to drill the holes instead of eyeballing it. We’ve had it for about a month now, and it works great and does everything we need (and more). My only real complaint is that you can’t set heating intervals shorter than 30 seconds for small amounts of water. You have to start it for 30 seconds and stop it manually, which basically means staring at the timer like you’re watching TV.

Excellent microwave. Very easy to use. I really like the fact that it has a contemporary, sleek, seamless design without a door handle. Very complimentary to the new LG gas range purchased at the same time. Because it's located above the range, the food that's cooking can't really be seen and it took a while to get used to the large door.

This thing is a beast and is super cool! It’s lit up well on the inside so you can easily see whatever it is you are cooking. The reheat option is AMAZING! The microwave has steam sensors that prevent the food from overcooking and will heat it to perfection automatically. I don’t need to set a timer or worry about my food exploding. Literally start it and just let it do its thing. At first I was worried and would watch it closely but I’ve learned to trust this microwave. Zero food splatters so far! I stupidly bought one of those domes you put over your food to catch all the splatters. Haven’t used it once. I’ve noticed the microwave uses the sensors to adjust the heat while cooking. It will lower the cooking power and heat it up so that the food doesn’t splatter but also gets cooked enough so that it’s not cold in the middle. I recommend this product! If you’ve got some extra cash to spend on a microwave I would buy this. Are these features necessary? No.. but they are awesome!!

This microwave is sleek and beautiful. It has so many useful features and is super easy to use. Cleans up super easy from fingerprints ect. Has a nice tune instead of a buzzer sound when it finishes. Plus you can have it on your phone with an LG app. Love that feature.

I love my LG microwave so much that I bought the same identical product again. It has awesome features, easy to use, and very stylish too. The only reason I did not give it a 5 rating was because my first one lasted 2 years and 4 months. Life span should be close to 10 years according to Alexa...with normal use. Needless to say, I love LG appliances.

So far, I love this microwave. It’s easy to use. I like that. There’s instructions on the inside of the door that makes it user-friendly. It’s a sleek design very clean and I’ve already had a few compliments and most have noticed there’s no handle so it really is a nice looking unit.

This microwave looks and performs great! Would have given it 5 stars if it didn’t play some jingle song when timer goes off. You can turn sounds off but you really want to know when it’s done.

Very happy with this microwave. It integrates with Alexa very well, allowing you to turn on the stove light or fan by voice command, and if you leave the room while cooking something in the microwave, Alexa will announce when it's done and the food is ready. The capacity of the microwave is excellent. The only complaint is that the built-in stove light isn't very bright - but no problem, I went online and found a super bright LED replacement bulb that you just pop in place of the original bulb and now the stove light is super bright.

It's a sharp looking and efficient microwave. I like that I can sync it with my cooktop to turn the fan on automatically if I want. I love that the fan has four speeds and is relatively quiet (at least compared to my old one). So far, the touch screen works well, even when damp. My only real gripe so far, is that popcorn is a pain to dial in. The popcorn button burnt it, and even the listening method left some of the popcorn a little burnt.

Extremely easy to install. Looks great. Haven't used it a ton but so far so good.

We are slowly transitioning to stainless steel LG appliances and we couldn't be more excited. The best thing about this unit is the features you get at this price point. Also, I love that it is 2.0 cu .ft. LG has high quality appliances and the added look of this particular microwave is just what my kitchen needed. Very happy with it.

Love the look and performance of this microwave. It's sleek and has so many great features. My pizza even comes out crispy when I use the reheat function. So far, it's a win.

This microwave really updates our kitchen in design. It has lots of functions that have been helpful and easy to figure out. The installation went very smoothly.

Only had it a few days but it has been great. I love the list on the inside panel that shows the different preprogrammed cooking times and what to input (my memory is awful and i would never remeber them or want to go look them up). It takes up the same space as my past smaller units but the extra internal size is great. I love the sleek modern look with the opening grip on the side vs a handle. Kids leave tons of prints but thats about the same as always. I also love that there is a low and high light option and multiple fan options. The only "con" so far is that the wifi option is mostly useless since you are always next to a microwave when using it (may be helpful for certain disabilities, but i can't speak to that) it does have a diagnostic tool and an online registration option on the app. Since i already had the app for my LG window ac I added the microwave, but it may not be worth it for everyone.

Looks great and functions really well. This microwave oven is quiet and has a very good above range multi speed fan. One touch minutes start is nice and the tones it makes to alert when food is ready are nice. We really like the easy to clean single piece door.

Finished a kitchen remodel in September so have been using this for about three months now. First, here’s my take on THE FORM: Sleek, contemporary design from the front. I like that it has a notch on the side rather than a clunky handle. My biggest peeve is that BB or LG doesn’t show or mention that the bottom has a slope/angle which is super annoying when you’re trying to line everything up with upper cabinetry…so despite giving my contractor the listed dimensions, the overall height stated is actually at the very back of the microwave. But because there’s a slope, the front height is actually shorter than listed, so there is a visible angle and the front of the microwave does NOT line up to the bottom of my new upper cabinets. See photos. THE FUNCTION: Roomy interior, convenient one-touch buttons. Our previous LG microwave allowed you to add extra time as needed if you happen to leave (or usually in my case FORGET) your food inside…this one makes you open the door first before being able to add any additional seconds/minutes. So that part is annoying too. Venting seems to be adequate. Pretty to look at, but needs improvement. I’m a little torn on whether or not I would recommend it…if you’re ok with some of the quirks, then it’s a cool looking microwave.
