This soundbar, for something of an entry-level model, sounds great with my new TV (LG 55UM7300PUA). I am honestly shocked at how great it is. Nice and clean sounds highs, lows and voices are easy to pick out. The different settings make it easy to switch from an action movie with big explosions to more normal levels for watching the news. This could not possibly have been easier to set up. The only real problem I have with it is that it doesn't work with the Magic Remote from my TV except through Bluetooth (which drops signal and gets out of sync sometimes). If you don't mind using the soundbar's controller in addition to the Magic Remote then the optical connection (cable included) works perfectly. My son bought another LG TV model during the Super... er... the Big Game sale last year. He has the same sound bar and everything works great. Best Buy... Please don't cross-merchandise HDMI cables or the surround speakers with this soundbar on your website. If I'd known that I needed the next model up (SL5Y) to get the HDMI ARC connection so that my remote would work the soundbar I would have upgraded. Also, even though your website, LG's website, and the box state that the soundbar will work with Surround Sound speakers, your guys in the store have confirmed that it won't. -- I guess I'm still in my return window... I'll probably just have to swap it out. I recommend this product for price, value and sound quality. It just isn't the correct product for my application. So in conclusion... I recently purchased a new LG 50 4K TV and I wanted more sound than the TV was putting out. Now I didn't want something that was going to rattle the windows and annoy my neighbors. Just something that was going to enhance my movie watching experience at home. I got that with this soundbar and subwoffer set. I have not turned it to the maximum volume because I don't need to. I live in an older home in a neighborhood where the houses are fairly close to each other. I definitely think that I made the correct choice for my needs and what this item delivers. The Black Friday price was excellent and I very much got great value for the money. Would I buy this again. Absolutely yes I would and I would recommend it to a friend who might be interested in adding something like this to their entertainment system. I don't always use this. Not for watching regular TV shows that don't need this type of sound but I definitely use this when I'm watching a movie or dramatic series binge.

LG - 2.1-Channel 300W Soundbar System with 6" Subwoofer - Black is the perfect upgrade to TV speakers. The sound is big but not overpowering. Very easy set up with a Digital Optical Cord. Sub woofer sets up easy and can be hidden behind a chair or couch. I would highly recommend this LG - 2.1-Channel 300W Soundbar System with 6" Sub-Woofer - Black. Great value for the money and ease of use.

If you are looking to upgrade your tv sound get this! It sounds good and the bass is strong. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because the audio can sound muffled on the bass or cinematic setting. But for an action movie like the avengers it sounds great. It is great bang for your buck! It was easy to set up and Bluetooth is easy

Overall I’m decently impressed with this product! This sound bar will fill up a small room with studio quality sound. It is easy to setup and get going, the overall value is through the roof. I like the add on option and that is where I believe the real value comes from!

We paired this with a LG 4K TV, very simple to setup... just plug the optical cable into your TV from the soundbar and tell the TV if you want both sound from TV and soundbar or just soundbar... The little sub woofer is surprisingly good for its size... remember this is just entry level... if you want the full sound experience you need to get the LG 5.1 soundbar... but for 2.1 its pretty good... Also good thing is when you turn of the TV the soundbar and woofer go to sleep and bonus is you can just use TV remote to turn sound up or down via the soundbar and TV togeather... Best results with the 2.1 is to leave your TV speakers on as well...

I bought this because I was sick of the low quality sound from my TV. I wasn’t sure what to expect honestly because it was less expensive than some of the other options. But wow this sounds excellent and the sub really hits. Mounts nicely right under the TV with the included brackets as well. Definitely would recommend.

I bought this as I have a Samsung TV and the remote was not working for the sound. Apparently this is an issue for Samsung TV's as I saw many posts on the Samsung site. So after trying everything on their website and unable to contact Samsung, I had enough of the remote not working for the sound and bought the soundbar. Got the remote to work several times after doing the recommendations, but it seems to have had a mind of its own. Was glad the optical cable was included. Connected to my TV and had a bit of an issue getting the subwoofer connecting, but after a couple tries it connected and no problem since. Could not pass up the sale price as I was looking for a cheaper model, but probably good thing I spent the extra money as the sound is pretty good after making a two or three adjustments.

The sound is only great when you turn up the volume loud enough to hear the bass. It is easy to setup and it makes good sound and clear voice especially when I watch the movie. It is on sale, so the price is reasonable. I would recommend others to buy this sound bar.

Just wanted a soundbar with woofer for my new tv without spending a bunch of money. Got this for 150 on sale and love it. Simple to setup and use. I think it has very good sound quality but I’m not a home theater snob. Perfect for me though

We bought this soundbar over a year ago when we thought our existing surround sound system was starting to go. It has sat in the box, unopened since last October. We finally decided it would be a good idea to install it and take advantage of the compatibility of the soundbar with our LG 65" TV. We really wish we'd done this a year ago. The sound is amazing. Very easy setup. Love the auto power off/on feature. That was something we never had before. Now we no longer have to remember to shut off the soundbar when we shut off the TV.We're thoroughly pleased with this item. Luckily when we bought it last year we had $60 in rewards certificates so it only cost $86.00 with tax. I'd still pay full price for it, it's worth every penny. Now we need to buy the companion SPK8-S LG - 70W Wireless Rear Channel Speakers to complete our home theater.

Great sound bar and sub. Not the loudest but for the price its great. Bought for my dad and since he's getting old and has a harder time hearing the tv. He could hear the difference from the TV speakers

Most soundbars put out too much bass and drown out the rest of the sound. My old bluetooth speaker at my shop finally gave out. While looking for a new speaker, I stumbled accross this setup on sale for $149. Has more power and more affordable than most of the bluetooth speakers I was looking at. So, even though I am not a fan of soundbars I decided to purchase it. Mounted it on a cabinet above my tool box. The sound is actually better than I expected. I still prefer my Samsung tower speakers at home, but for my purpose this was perfect.

This sound bar offers fantastic sound quality, much better than what comes out of the TV speaker. Only issue is it is connected to our TV with an optical cable, but does not automatically connect. We have to do it manually. Though it might be an issue with our TV, not the sound bar. Still worth mentioning that connectivity might be an issue.

I thought I was slick and bought this to use as a Bluetooth speaker in a relatively unused area. I cannot fault this device too much because I was not using it for its intended purpose, but the Bluetooth features of this thing are nearly worthless as it kept dropping the connection, and it was not in an electronically "noisy" environment. I had to return it. If you buy it, use it only for its intended purpose (with a TV). It did sound really good when it actually worked.

I got this on sale for my tv, my tv is an LG 55’ that I bought from Best Buy about 3 or 4 years ago. I just wanted to be able to hear the tv better in my room, so I got this sound bar. For the price I paid ($100) it is fine. There’s is depth of sound there, controls are fairly straightforward. Set up was really easy. My only caution is that with the subwoofer, sometimes it just does this deep popping sound, not often. But it’s very jarring and I don’t know that that can be fixed. Other than that I’d say if this is for a bedroom tv or a small den it works, any bigger than that you may want to beef up your purchase.

For the money this is a good sounding Soundbar System. However, I had a lot of trouble with initial setup. The instructions are a joke and barely usable. There is no light on the sound bar to tell you whether it is on or off. I couldn't get any sound and I didn't know if it was working or not. I found a small display screen on then bottom of the soundbar by accident. There are no instructions about how to use the remote or why you even have one. Finally figured out that the sound level on the unit itself was all the way down. That is why I had no sound. So you are controlling sound with the tv and the system remote. I needed to adjust the bass and could not figure out how to read the levels until I stumbled across the display screen.

I was skeptical about buying my 1st soundbar because i thought it wouldn't have the punch i was looking for but once i got it going WOW! i was suprised by the bass & clarity super simple to connect To an lg tv once the power cord & optical cord (included) is connected press home on the tv remote select the device connector choose soundbar you should be good to go

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Good sound. A really good gift idea. I wish the volume was a little louder, but the quality and variety of sound is nice.

Great sound, but had issues with the subwoofer disconnecting. Found that router signal was interfering. After moving away from router, works great
