Missing accessories

Do not waste your money and time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with very high expectations, it only works with me turning it on and off manually on the side bar side, the remote does not work at all. Nothing lights up to give me any indications that it is up and running, only the subwoofer light comes on. It likes to raise the volume on its on and lower it back down. Very disappointed. I was replacing my 15 year old Vizio but I guess I will plug my old one in, as it is still working! will be returning it tomorrow or the following day

Poor return policy

Returned it to Best Buy. Was told it was "out of return date window unless I was a Best Buy Plus member." Extorted for the $50 member fee or lose entire amount of purchase. The model I bought was COMPLETELY sold out. Offered new model- not at price I paid but $40 more. Before returning the unit, I called the Best Buy local number which is a call center in Guatamala. THERE IS NO LOCAL NUMBER. No way to talk to a store employee. I was told after COVID- every retail business' excuse, Best Buy downsized staff and they are no longer able to handle in store calls. Total disappointment with this Best Buy experience. I won't return for any future purchases. I would still recommend LG products but NEVER Best Buy.

Cracking sound from subwoofer

But mine having issues with subwoofer - there is cracking sound from it every now and then. It seems Bluetooth connectivity has a problem. Tried many time to pair again and again. Also tried to reduce the distance from soundbar, but no improvement even if I keep it next to soundbar. I thought it will be ok over the time so didn't return it. Now it went past the return period. Most of the time I don't use subwoofer since it is so irritating. So no more its a good value for money without woofer.

Disappointing Performance

I have to turn the volume up to 40 to get normal-ish sound. I cannot access the settings to do any adjustment and even though I have an LG tv, most of the features for configuration are inaccessible. It is not user friendly and unfortunately, did not come with a manual as it was open box. I can definitely see why this was returned.

Not worth the aggrevation

First try couldn’t get it to work. Returned it. Got another one. Second one would work with the TV either. Call the company to triuble shoot and they were no help. Called the TV company to troubleshoot and they couldnt. Had to return and now just using the TV speakrs instead.

Cheap Soundbar equals Cheap Sound

After using it for an hour just listening to a TV show, it was awful and sounded like a tin can. Adjusted all the settings to see if I could get some better outcome but it was awful regardless. Cannot recommend at all unless you just dont care about sound quality.

Terrible expericence

After getting home and realizing this i decided to call, was told no problem come in with the receipt and they’ll give me one as they “have plenty”. Come to find out going here for a second straight day, wasted my time because they don’t!!! My only options are now order one online (on my own) or return the item. Im sorry you have more important business to tend to than mine. Im done with this place. Terrible terrible experience. Won’t get me again I can promise you that

It wasn’t what I expected

It was easy to connect and set up but after trying it out it - the speaker had less volume than the actual t.v that he has. I had to give it back because there was no point in having it.

Very disappointing experience!

The return was even worse as I was bounced from department to department 5 times. When I finally spoke to someone who spoke clear English she was able to get it resolved. Still waiting on a full refund after 2 weeks. Never was able to hook it up so I cant rate its performance. SAD state of affairs at Best Buy.

worked for about an hour - had to return it

The recommended connection is via HDMI ARC, that was the first issue - an HDMI cable is not provided. I did have a spare 4K/8K HDR cable that I used, regardless of the settings used, I couldn't get any sound, after extensive research online, and chatting with several Best Buy supposed tech experts - I stumbled over a TCL forum post that suggested to unplug the TV and hold the power button for 15 seconds and then plug the TV back in, finally got sound from the bar and the sub woofer. It worked for about an hour. The following day, turned the TV on and again no sound. Tried all of the same troubleshooting tips, including a different HDMI cable, no sound. I ended up returning it. I should have looked at the 1 and 2 star reviews, seems this is a prevailing issue. Look elsewhere for a soundbar, I would avoid this model at all costs

Defective after first use

Finally fired it up a year and a couple months later and the sound cuts out after about 30 minutes of use I can turn it off turn it back on and the sound comes back but after 30 minutes it's diminished to about 40% max volume reading on Reddit this is a prevalent problem with LG sound bars and they're doing nothing about it unless it's within warranty when it sounds like a very common defect which should be recalled.

Not worth the price at all

I have a cheap insignia sound bar and it’s way more reliable and sounds way better than this pricey item. Don’t waste your money. Disappointed in LG. Playing Bluetooth and it keeps disconnecting itself and changing to Opt. Also I am using opt because I had it plugged in via HMdI arc to my Tv and every time I change the source on the sound bar from hdmi(arc) to Bluetooth, my tv flashes before it changes. Like what. I’m mad I’m passed the time I can return.

Horrid sound quality for the price

Thought it would be an upgrade. Plugged it in snd thought it was broken. Tried HDMI ARC and optical and with both the audio sounded tinny and horrible. Sounded like you took an old radio and added a subwoofer. Tried messing with the equalizrr to no effect. Plugged in the old soundbar and blew it out of the water. Turned right around and took it back, and got a Vizio 5.1 for not much more money. Way better.

Sound Bar with little sound!

I have the geek squad coming again on Monday. The sound from the bar is not syncing with the lips on the television. I have tried to reboot my modem, but it did not help. Hopefully they’ll be able to solve the problem on Monday.

Subwoofer dead on arrival

The light on the subwoofer would flash green when plugged in and then turn solid green. After a second it starts indefinitely flashing red. The manual is 2 pages long and basically says "turn it off and on again lol". There's also basically no info about this setup online. Tried to troubleshoot it for a couple hours and its just not worth it. The soundbar itself sounds barely any different than the built in speakers for the LG C1. Probably would sound better if the subwoofer worked but here we are.
