Recently had the opportunity to replace my 20 year old microwave, has it been THAT long already, and wanted to stay wit the LG brand as we've had great performance from other household appliances. This model does not disappoint. Installation was a breeze, though it is a tad heaver than previous appliance. Once installed, the difference is immediate. Food is heated in a much shorter time period, the unit itself is very quiet and loaded with features, including the slide out exhaust fan, nice when all burners are going on the range top. All in all, 10/10 on this unit Last up is a replacement gas range, and the upgrades will be complete with a complete LG kitchen and laundry throughout the home.

This microwave is so Sleek in design along with the push out vent that extends it over the range more then normal vent and sucks everything up.

The microwave is very quiet and looks great! Worth every penny!

Microwave works great and the extendable exhaust in the front works awesome. Prior LG Microwave exhaust didn't capture a lot of the steam coming off the stove and this unit works really well.

Had to replace an older version of this and we love it. Definitely not a completely quiet vent fan but still quieter thank others out there

The most idiotic redesign ever. The window in the revised version of this model, LMH2235ST, has been blacked out in the lower half of the door. It is impossible to see the food you're cooking! What the heck were they thinking??

This unit is larger than our old one and loaded with helpful features. When the old one died I knew we wanted an LG model. LG makes great appliances and we are confident this will be another added to our home. It was easy to install, works faster, and looks great. The extended fan pullout is especially nice.

One month old and so far so good. Nice design and good controls though the sensitive touch buttons seem pretty fragile to me. The pop-out exhaust system seems to be efficient, and we like it. The problem we had with our previous over the range Jennair microwave was that with a couple years of use its plastic external parts started to melt and disintegrate: first the door had to be replaced, then the exhaust vent, finally the control panel. Unacceptable for an over the range microwave if you ask me, but I suppose it is planner obsolescence. We hop this LG will last longer....

I wanted a great Vent and Fan for over our range with the microwave. The Extendavent is great. The SS seems to hold up to messy hands better than our Kitchenaid Dishwasher. The biggest thing I don't like is that the timer stops beeping after short amount of time. If you walk away you won't hear it and when you come back it won't be beeping.

The microwave is great-looking (stainless steel) and powerful. There are plenty of features to be utilized. The unique thing about this microwave is that it has a pull-out exhaust fan drawer underneath. Unfortunately, one of the clips broke and therefore it was easy to have this click out while opening the microwave door. Had to get the clip replaced.

I truly love this microwave! The interior is very large and it has a lot of power. With a push of a button, you can turn the turntable on and off. This microwave has a 4 speed vent, 3 light intensities along with various food settings. The only reason I deducted a star was because there isn’t a quick 1 minute push option, just a 30 second button which seems a little odd, just my opinion. Overall, I’m glad I purchased this microwave, it’s a good one.

The good: Overall the microwave looks great, the extend a vent really does pull steam from the front burners on my stove, it’s fairly quiet and I really love the soften and melt feature for either ice cream or butter. The bad: I wish the light had an off/on rather than having to cycle through the dim settings to turn it off. Next on my previous microwave I had the feature of pressing 1 or 2, and it would cook on high power for one or two minutes respectively. I took out the wire rack as it seems to be more of a nuisance, but glad I have it if I ever decide to cook on both the turn table and the rack at the same time. Would I buy it again based on my experiences - yes. It does cook faster than my previous microwave but the previous (hotpoint) was 20 years old. I went with this one because of the features and it matched the rest of my LG appliances in my kitchen.

WHAT A SLEEK LOOKING MICROWAVE. EASY TO OPERATE AND TO INSTALL. LOVE THE DIGITAL PAD. THE HANDLE MAKE IT EASY TO OPEN.

Got this to cover a 36" stovetop, it is very powerful with the 2nd set of fans. Extraction is amazing. It can get loud in the strongest setting but not obnoxious. It will take the smell out of the room rather quickly. It is a little bigger than others but works really well. The microwave has good options as all the rest and after several months have no complaints about its operation.

Pros: Sleek design, touch controls are well placed. The extend-a-vent works well to reduces escaping smells/steam when cooking on front burners. Performs great when heating leftovers or cooking microwaveable dishes. Cons: Limited view through microwave door. 5'1'' wife too short to see the contents while heating.

Installation was very basic. The unit matches the LG stove we purchased perfect. The slide out vent is also convenient.

I am extremely happy with with this microwave especialy the extendable front vent and the powerfull turbo vent speed. The glass touchscreen is great and very simple to clean and keep clean. The stainless steel front is really nice looking. The microwave is extremely quiet. The installation was a snap and I have installed 6 other ones all vented to the outside (the only way to go if at all possible) LG has proven to me to be the way to go reguardless of the cost.

This is a very good microwave. It heats food quickly and the defrost option actually defrosts and doesn't cook the meat. My wife and I also love the vent/fan. We've tried the extension and it does a lot better job than our previous microwave of pulling out the fumes. A couple items that keep it from getting a 5 star. My wife is shorter and when the microwave is on, there is a strip of black over the bottom half of the window. This prevents her from seeing what is happening inside. The buttons are also take a little getting used to when pressing.

Looked at all the reviews both good & Bad, The Good: The (outside) venting works great, The extend a vent works like a charm, The range light is bright, the look is stylish. The Bad: The Microwave (bottom) was installed 23" above range (it replaced a 18 year old one). I am 5' 8" tall and when standing in front to set functions it is hard to see the second row of info in display, Also I can not see anything in oven will cooking due to small oven window size on door, online pics do not show a true representation on the real size. Beside that it works as it should.

I love the design of this microwave. It looks perfect in my modern kitchen. It's plenty big, so it fits all my plates. It works great, and I love all the options for reheating and defrosting. It made my stove look outdated, so I had to order a new stove too :) Would definitely buy it again!
