Very good Microwave. Love the extended vent this product has. Our experience is that LG products are very good quality.

Love all the features. Easy to learn, I don't see a problem with the display not being lit up. I liked that it is right in front view. Unlike other microwaves, you cannot see inside this microwave from just standing in front of it. In order to see the food you must get close to the window - the light inside is very dimmed and the background is grey so it makes it darker inside but one can still see the food if you need to check it. The extended fan feature is the best to keep the microwave and cabinets dry when boiling water. The LD light is super bright to be able to see while using the stove. Overall, I am very happy with this microwave. I feel it is worth the extra money since it is not the cheapest.

I'm going to give this 4 stars for now, as the undamaged areas of the Microwave looked pretty nice. First of all, my issue was reasonably resolved - but after 2 trips, one useless on-line chat, and one 30 minute mind-numbing experience in-person at the Best Buy Store ... This story just keeps getting better as it goes along. 1) I make an on-line purchase for this microwave - "Open Box Excellent" for about 35% below "New". 2) I choose to pick it up at my local Best Buy and get it the next day via curbside pickup. 3) 2 Employees load it into the back of my car, close the door, and walk away. 4) I get home, open the back, and see the box is completely smashed along 1 entire edge. So, I pray - take inside and open it. Prayer didn't work - frame is bent and damaged. 5) I go to online chat. After a few minutes of back and forth, the chat person tells me I need to resolve the issue at the store. So, I load it back in the car and head back to Best Buy. 6) I see a customer service rep, and She asks if I have it with me. I tell her its out in the car. She arranges for someone to come out to get it - But I am told they cant get it from my "curbside" location - I have to move my car to in front of the entrance (which of course is a fire/no-parking zone) 7) Now, back in the store, the CS rep is seeing what she can do and consults with the manager (who is busy with someone else). She says she was told to "try something". So, after a few minutes of "trying", I ask if I could talk to the manager in the meantime. 8) After several minutes, the Manager comes over and hammers on the computer for a few minutes and apologizes that that there are no similar-condition items to exchange for. And, they cant give me a new one at the same Price. 9) He does offer me a "number to call" to see if "major appliances" may be able to resolve this more favorably. 10) So now, I'm getting really ticked off. I show him the microwave damage and ask why someone would label it as "excellent". I further ask - Why 2 employees would load a heavily damaged box into a customers car and walk away like nothing was wrong? I get ridiculous answers that make no sense at all. I review that Chat told me to bring it to the store for exchange. And now He is telling me He cant help me at the store. 11) After this, I say OK - how about you call the major appliance line and deal with the additional hassle - He tells me He cannot call on behalf of a customer. I can now feel a stroke coming on, but say "fine, I'll call them" 12) I ask for a receipt that I returned the damaged Microwave to the store. Now, the Manager explains that: I HAVE TO TAKE THE MICROWAVE WITH ME. They cant hold it for "liability" reasons. Now, I'm asking nearby people if they can help me in case I go into full cardiac arrest. 13) I ask "Is this all some sort of joke or prank on me". He apologizes for the inconvenience. 14) At this point, I tell him that while I realize his hands are tied, I ask for his full name for reference when I make a corporate level inquiry for assurance that no customer would be put in such ridiculous circumstances. 15) At this point, a light-bulb literally appears over the managers head, and he declares: "I just remember I was able to get a "new" exchange for open-box the other day for a customer - Do you want me to give it a shot?" I say "SURE". 2 Minutes later, its all done and set for delivery in a week. 16) My takeaway from all of this: NEVER AGAIN !!!

We were very pleased with our purchase and the excellent salesman who patiently helped us during our research and purchase. This microwave is very attractive and easy to use. We have had it less than a month, but the installers and everyone involved in its purchase were a pleasure to deal with, in addition to the efficiency of the microwave.

It was the fan alone, the extend-a-vent that sold me. I needed this in my life. It’s great to see the little smoke vortices when it’s on high and doing its thing. The microwave itself is large and roomy sans internal shelf. It’s powerful too, beating the previous unit it replaced by around 10-20% faster cook times. E.g. reheating coffee is now a minute vs 1:20. Or some common frozen dishes didn’t have to go the full duration anymore. All in all it’s doing what it needs to do. Pro tip, get a friend to help you install it. Doing it alone isn’t fun

Excellent microwave for above a LG range. Large, buttons easily accessible. No one touch buttons for 1-5 minute cooking. Easy install requires two people because of weight, otherwise anyone can DIY. Great price for high end large capacity microwave.

I couldn't be happier about this microwave in our recently upgraded kitchen. The black stainless is perfect and has been easy to clean. The operation is easy to figure out and it has preprogrammed options for cooking a variety of food. If you're in the market for an over the range microwave, this should be on the list.

Easy install, cooks well, lots of space, looks great. Used sensor cooking option and works well. Extended vent is a plus....keeps grease from stovetop cooking off front of microwave

This microwave has so many features that its hard to summarize in a short review. The ExtendaVent allows you to cook anything you want on the oven cooktop as it draws in the steam and vapors and prevents damage to your kitchen cabinets. It has multiple speeds to vent various degrees of steam production. The Sensor Cooking allows you to cook almost any dish you can think of and removes a lot of the guesswork. It automatically senses the humidity of food being cooked with remarkable accuracy. It has many other features that will make almost everyone very pleased! Highly recommend this microwave!!

our old microwave as literally falling apart and we bought this with a new double oven. this unit is huge and has a shelf which is a nice upgrade. it is quiet and efficient. we are very happy.

We have had this microwave for 2 weeks and so far I like it very much. The LED light is very bright which is perfect for when I am cooking. The extended vent works great and there are three speeds for the vent fans. It heats, cooks and defrosts very well and the sensor cooking is near perfection. There are only 2 minor negatives that are slightly annoying. The controls are at the bottom of the door which makes it difficult to see inside the oven and the interior is dark which again makes it difficult to see inside the oven. Overall, I am pleased with this LG microwave. Also a shout out to Peter from the Geek Squad who installed the microwave. He did a great job.

Heats fast/easy to operate. Dethaws awesome w/o cooking the meat.

I have used this microwave continuously since I had it installed. It gives me so many convenient choices from reheating to softening my butter to room temperature easily. I also got it for the extra fan and filter area for over my stove. It's the only microwave that I found to have this feature.

I needed to replace my lg microwave and decided to go with this model. I had the extendavent and stovetop light. I loved it so much I couldn’t see having anything less. This one did not disappoint! It has a special coating inside so the walls stay cleaner longer and it’s so easy to wipe out. It’s got multiple settings on the exhaust fan and is much quieter than my old one. The stovetop light is led and is awesome. No extra heat! Also has a choice of venting heat forward or up. Also love the controls on the door Much easier for a shorter person like myself to see. Have had it a month now and really love it. Preset buttons work great. Best baked potato I’ve ever had out of a microwave. Was worth the price.

When I went in to purchase a microwave, I had no plans to even look at this one, but the ones I was interested in were not available, so I ended up with this microwave. I did not even realize when I purchased it that the bottom section slid out over the burner to be a better exhaust fan. I also was very leary of the controls being on the bottom of the glass. All of these concerns are now gone, I am so very happy that I purchased this microwave instead of the one I went in for. The controls are not only easy to use, they are pretty intuitive, and the sensor cooking is the best I've ever had on a microwave. It is also very easy to clean. This is a wonderful microwave and I can highly recommend it.

Bought it basically because of the extended vent - which is a fantastic feature. Comments: * Cooktop light is extremely bright. * Interior light way too dim. Combined with the dark interior, it is impossible to see the food without opening the door. * Reheat menu for dinner plate needs some watching for small portions. * Exhaust fan, especially on turbo is excellent. However, all fan speeds are on the loud side. * Wire rack is set too low. Design flaw? Rack would be more useful if centered in the middle. Cannot fit a normal size coffee mug on the turntable while the rack is inside. Makes removing deep containers more awkward. * Clock numbers are small, relative to the space allowed for the clock. * Installation, performed by Best Buy, was excellent.

Been a good replacement to match the rest of our LG appliances. The only thing we don’t like is the loud buzzer effect, but a quick change to the settings turned it off. So far, good quality, quiet,p operation, and does the job.

Beautiful! Goes great over my LG stove. Warms up food quickly. The presets work well. The extendavent is a nice feature as it goes above my front burners. All in all, happy with this purchase.
