This LG microwave with the extend a vent works great. It catches more smoke as advertised. I am most excited about the quality of the microwave it looks great and all the options are incredible.

I like how this microwave heats up quickly. I also like the led lights under the microwave because they are very bright, and they light up everything. I like how far out the vent hood extends. The vent hood works flawlessly.

I like the ExtendaVent option on this OTR because it helps prevent more of the sticky vapors from getting on the cabinets above the microwave. I also really like the color. Otherwise, it's the same as other microwaves. I would recommend this others.

This microwave replaced one I had for 20 years so a lot has changed. The darker interior is easy to clean and it has an extendable vent to pull out to cover the front burners on my cooktop. Also it is very quiet while cooking. It was easy to install and fit perfect!

I have had this microwave for two years last November end it is still running as good as the day I put it in. Great features and the pop out fan covers just about the whole stove top which is awesome.

This is the best microwave that I ever had! Sice is perfect, panel works like a charm. This ExtendaVent is an amazing idea... also the vent are very powerful, so I can't be happier with this.

Replaced our Samsung unit with this brand, and we love it. The food heats up better and the unit is sleek and has some pretty cool features. I especially like the extendable range.

This microwave is very quiet and cooks/warms food faster than my previous higher wattage one. It also has a vent extension that pulls out to cover front cooking section of range to remove steam.

We are very happy with the microwave. It is a nice size and very attractive, The dark interior is different but not an issue. It is dark to match the Black Stainless Steel which is great.

As others have said, the case seems flimsy. When you tighten the two forward bolts that draw it up to the kitchen cabinet, the metal case bends so that there is a dip in it between the two bolts. There doesn't seem to be any reinforcement around those bolt holes. The older LG model we took down had substantial reinforcement around the bolt holes in the case, and the metal remained straight when tightened it to the kitchen cabinet. The extenda-vent didn't extend at first. After examining it for awhile it appeared to me the right-hand track was binding up. I tried squirting a little bit of WD40 on the right-hand track. That fixed it. The extenda-vent system does work well. I don't know why other makers haven't adopted this feature. The only other brand that has it is Kenmore Elite, but that is obviously an LG product with the Kenmore name on it. There is an annoying rattle when you close the door or the extenda-vent. The rattle is coming from the latch on the extenda-vent. I can get it to stop rattling for a few days by jiggling it. Then the rattle comes back. I doubt that would be covered by warranty, which only covers "failure." If it weren't so much trouble to take the unit down, I would have returned it to Best Buy. So I'll just live with it. We noticed it doesn't heat things as fast as the 2012 LG 2.0 cu.ft. model this replaced. Then I realized this has 1000 watts whereas the previous one had 1100 watts. Why would they make it LESS powerful, yet bigger? Go figure. The one this replaced was a 2012 LG, with extenda-vent, essentially the equivalent of this one. It worked for 7 years, but I did have to replace a couple of electrical parts after about 5 years. I would have fixed it again but the interior was rusting through in one area so it made sense to junk it. You can probably do better than this. We have an LG range below this microwave, and wanted to maintain the matching appearance, that's why we didn't consider any other brands.

It's easy to use, but the thing I like most is the pull out protector at the bottom. No more burning my hand on the handle when I'm boiling water on the stove below.

This microwave is quiet, has awesome exhaust system that allows it to be vented back into a wall, out though a roof vent or in my case with no vent available, it cleans and vents out the front into the room. When you want a larger more powerful exhaust, it has 4 speeds and the exhaust hood pulls out over the stove top range below. This is a giant leap in improvements over other more basic microwaves and well worth the money. Its not expensive but it is actually a really good looking, handsome unit.

The microwave looks and works great. We were disappointed as we ordered black stainless. It wasn't until the old microwave was out before we realized the error. We installed it anyway. Great product just wish it was what we ordered

I love the color of the black stainless steal. The extend a vent is a great feature for anyone who hates steam on the front of their microwave when boiling water on the stove. Love the controls on the bottom.

Excellent job of cooking, easy intuitive controls, very quite, great options. I love the expanding exhaust fan. You have to see it to believe it.

We recently purchased all new LG appliances and the microwave looks good,is bigger on the inside than our last one,it has more features,and it heats food in a quicker time frame.

Microwave is very solid built and works great. The fan and light are very good. Heats up and cooks food quickly and evenly. Love the black stainless look!
