This dryer has a self ventilation system. The washer has a smart load for laundry detergent. I definitely recommend both of these appliances.

Source is unclear. LG delegated service under its Premium Care extended warranty obligation to Sears, which was unable to keep its appointment. Weeks later, we are still waiting for service. Stay away from this piece of trash and from LG. Also stay away from Best Buy, which needed to make a return visit since its original hookup was incorrect. (Hot and cold water connections reversed.)
