The gasket is a cheap nothing. Fridge and freezer works just fine. My model doesn't have an ice maker because there's no place to hook up the water . . . an ice tray would have been nice and if it were a little "thinner" with the same cubic space, that would have worked a little better. It is an OK average appliance, wasn't cheap and isn't special. Very silent. PS Be sure BestBuy salesperson writes whether your door opens LEFT or RIGHT on your invoice. Best I could do for a condo.

They left refrig unplugged in kitchen & drove away. I plugged it in & pushed it in place without icemaker being installed. Found that doors wouldnt close completely unless pushed the last couple of inches. Contacted geek squad & notified them of issues. 8-11 delivery guys came & installed ice maker & braided hose that hadnt been ordered. Noted with them issues with doors not closing. 8-29 geek squad rep came for door issues & ordered new hinges. 9-17 rep came & installed new hinges but didnt fix issues. Ordered replacement refrig & icemaker. 10-7 new refrig delivered but drivers couldnt remove original icemaker to swap into replacement refrig, had to order new icemaker. 10-20 new icemaker delivered & installed. Working ok so far but best buy ordering & delivery system needs work. The geek squad rep who replaced the hinges was helpful but the delivery drivers were uninformed about what was supposed to be done beyond delivering the refrigerators.

For the door closure issue you mentioned, it’s helpful to ensure the refrigerator is properly leveled. If the front of the unit is slightly higher than the back, the doors will naturally close more easily. You can adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the unit by turning them clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower. This small adjustment can often improve door alignment and closure. Freezer works perfectly pop a water and in less then 20 mins it’s nice and cold. Really like that it has no handle my little children can’t swing from it lol.

My new LG refrigerator

Its so well made and has spacious compartments for fresh foods . Its much better sealed than my old one . I love it and would highly recommend Best Buy for anyones regrigerator needs. The quality for the price is top notch !

It was just the right size for my kitchen and it worked out great. I would have liked to have a meat/deli drawer but I have made do.

The lights inside the frig and the freezer are as good as advertised, and I should mention that the delivery and installation folks were outstanding too. And it fits the space allotted for it in the kitchen, which was a necessary factor.

The food stays very cold, the equipment operates very efficiently. I do wish the functionality areas of the fridge was better organized but it operates perfectly. Better option if you are looking for a cheaper option for a new fridge that has a lot of storage space for not a lot of money.
