Intuitive features and perfect for family of 5!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We finally gave up on GE after being fans of GE for many years but recently dealt with issue after issue pertaining to their quality. Enter this LG and call us fans. The door in door is definitely one of our favorite features. With a family of five, we keep the frequent items in this compartment and we don't seem to open the fridge doors as much as we used to. It's quiet and feels like a really well made appliance. The ice maker is suitable for this family of five who tend to use it on a regular basis and we do like the small square cubes as opposed to larger ones.

Best value smart fridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.7 yr old fridge was flood damaged by Harvey. Chose this LG model considering price (black Friday deals) & fast delivery by B.B. would have chosen the bigger capacity (same model, slightly higher price) if kitchen and main door are larger. Once plugged in, took few hours to cool while setting up the Smarthinq and installed app on iPhone to control & monitor the fridge. It’s been running very quiet for 3 weeks no issues. Luv the design, look, bright inside lighting and instaview window. Recommend buying extended warranty from LG online.

Awesome fridge!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wondered if this fridge with it's bells and whistles would be gimmicks. But the door in door is really useful, for items that are used more frequently (milk, coffee creamer, etc) The center section we use for beverages. You can set it a bit colder for those ice cold drinks. Our last LG was super noisy, so we did hesitate a bunch buying this one. It's super quiet! Even the water in the door is great. It has a flat surface at the bottom, so is so easy to clean. We've only had the fridge for about a month, but so far, we're REALLY happy with it.

Works for us!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced a 7 year old Whirlpool that had rusted, seal broken, ice maker stopped working and e-v-e-r-y plastic piece on the darn thing broke. Needless to say anything would be better BUT we love this LG so far (3 months an owner). The doors are nice an heavy and pull themselves closed (or alert you if they're not closed), the multiple drawers and combinations of organizing the food makes my mild OCD happy, and the knock feature is a hit with the neighborhood kids and my hubby! I've used the door in door feature way more than I thought I would. The freezer is a little awkward because it has a VERY shallow drawer that doesn't close all the way to dig through the food in the bottom drawer, but we have another freezer in the garage so it hasn't been a big deal yet. I also love the LED lights inside and the flex temp drawer. I keep the dividers up to separate the items by category (again with my OCD). It is a very luxurious fridge compared to our last hunk of junk. I'm still cautious, knowing there's been warranty issues reported by other owners, but getting this as a floor model made the savings worth taking our chances.

Best Fridge!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this fridge. The counter depth style allowed it to easily fit in my NYC apartment and there’s tons of room for everything. Love the door-in-door feature and the window, makes the unit look very upscale. Cools very well contrary to some reviews I initially read when doing research. This is a must have in matte black!!

An outstanding refridgerator!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this fridge and so will you. I was torn between Samsung and LG. With Samsung, you get a lot for your buck but they have been widely known to have major problems with their ice maker. LG keeps winning JD power awards year after year from customer service and has excellent support. I decided to go with LG and couldnt be happier. This unit is very VERY nice and looks beautiful in my kitchen. The instaview window is by far my favorite feature, if not a bit gimmicky. I dont find myself tapping on it often to activate the light and usually just open the entire door but its nice to have quick access. The chill tray works great for drinks (what we use it for) but can be used for deli meats and other quick access items. We had some guests over last week and it worked great for food trays until arrival time. This unit also has wifi built in and I can control to temp from my phone (nice touch albeit something I wont change often). Further, it will tell you when it needs filters changed. The ice maker seems to be very well build and solid which makes me feel better after reading terrible reviews on Samsun ice maker problems. The ice comes out perfectly dispensed and in reasonable cubes which arent overly large. The crushed feature works amazing, if not a bit too crushed, almost slushy like at times. Overall, I am very happy with LG and will probably stick to this brand again for my washer and dryer needs coming up.

We love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got it a month or so ago and love it so far. The cold saver feature (being able to just open and grab frequently accessed stuff like milk or juice) is wonderful. The middle draw is a nice feature as well. Quiet operation. The freezer shelf could be more sturdy and smooth.

Nice fridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I compared this fridge to the ones with a family connection screen with all the apps and music. Then I thought about my last refrigerator that lasted over 15 years, what’s that technology going to look like in 15 years. I can use my iPad and replace that as technology advances, my refrigerator is a little more permanent. The instavew door is real convenient and gets used constantly, the inside is organized, crisper drawers are in a convenient place and the shelves are great. Food definitely stays fresh longer. I like the freezer drawer, when you open it all the cold air stays in it as opposed to my old side by side. Two things that are not great, but won’t take any stars away, I can deal with them. The left door with the ice maker in it is heavy and will slam shut if your not careful, and the ice is limited. I had a party and ran out of ice.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really love the look and layout is this fridge! For being counter depth, it’s exceptionally roomie. Awesome fridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only had it a few weeks, so I can’t speak to reliability/longevity, but we love it so far. I’m wondering how we lived without the door-in-door feature, and the middle fridge drawer is great for snack foods and things you grab quickly. Also love the split shelf that allows for taller items. There are a few things that aren’t great — the shelves in the door on the ice maker side are too shallow for most things — even another half inch would make a world of difference — a wine bottle would fit in the bottom one, then — and I’d have gladly sacrificed that from the fridge shelves on that side to compensate. Also would be nice if the shelves in the doors were height-adjustable. Finally, I hate that the water from the dispenser isn’t cold (but apparently that’s true of most fridges on the market now.)

Gets a lot of attention
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone loves this refrigerator that stops by. There are a few things that bug me about it though. First thing is the top drawer on the freezer. It gets hung up on the stuff below. The second is the ice maker is small. Third is the veggie and fruit drawers are small...SUPER small! (Didn’t catch that before the purchase.) And last is the ice button...cube or crushed... doesn’t like to switch over. My daughter and I both have a hard time getting it to function.

LG appliance is always the answer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this about year ago but I waited to write the review because with any major appliances, the problem usually occurs after a year. well so far I am very satisfied except for the ice maker sometimes the ice stick to a chunk and does not dispense. I have to open it and take the chunk of ice out to make new ice time to time. The water filter needs to be replaced every 6month and it tastes amazing. I also purchase the 3yr extended warranty protection which I think will be very useful if anything happens. I love LG and it's quality always.

very good refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refrigerator after a lot of research , after my current brand name fridge died . most reviews online were very positive also. Bestbuy id a very good job at delivering, setting it up, and hooking it up to my water line. Now to the important stuff. The refrigerator maintains internal temperature really good ( to within a degree, which is a very good variance). It is also pretty quiet when operational, putting out around 42dB in noise. my kids like the glass outer door compartment, because they can easily see and get their juices and milk without having to open up the main door. Size wise, I wish it had more room, but I knew that already since I bought a counter depth version. overall, I would definitely recommend this product. I just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Awesome Refridgerator!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had to select a counter-depth fridge due to the spacing available and we a little worried we wouldn't have enough space. We were pleasantly surprised at how open the layout of the inside and love the middle drawer as we have the option to use it as a freezer or fridge. The front right opening where the clear window is located is also very handy when only needing to grab milk or juices so that the entire fridge doesn't have to be opened and need to be cooled down again. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend this fridge to anyone needing a counter-depth unit.

It is expensive for the quality that I get
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks cool. But the shelving inside is flimsy and the quality is poor for the price I paid. It was recommended by the BestBuy assistant, so I trusted and purchased it. It is a bit disappointing as the stainless steel is too easy to pick up streaks. I have to wipe it down almost everyday, and my household only has my mom and me. I do not have any children or pets. I had GE before and it lasted for more than 10 years until I gave it to my friend.

Very happy so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my three year old Samsung refrigerator died unexpectedly at the start of the holidays, I was forced into a major appliance shopping mission in a hurry! Chose this counter depth LG and love every thing about it. Makes great ice and lots of compartments to keep things organized. The door in door feature was a nice extra and now we can’t imagine not having it. Best Buy was able to get this fridge delivered in just a few days and they price matched for me and gave me an additional $300 off the price. Delivery guys were professional and fast. Hoping it lasts a long time!

Great Fridge but Compressor has issues
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Totally happy with this Fridge as it's been exactly what i was looking for and looks great. Unfortunately, after two years, i did experience the same problem many folks have complained about with the compressor going bad. I called LG and they immediately setup an appointment for me and fridge was fixed (at no cost) and good as new 3 days later. Easiest warranty claim i've ever made. Even with the compressor issue i would still recommend this Fridge. It's been great and LG's customer service is top notch.

Nice Fridge!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this fridge for a few weeks now. Getting the fridge delivered was an absolute nightmare, but this review is about the fridge not geek squad. This LG replaced our very old electrolux side by side. Even though I didn’t gain any additional space compared to my electrolux, I do love so many things about this fridge! It works well for our family of 4. Pros: the door in door feature was one of the things that drew us to this model, the knock feature is a fun novelty (my toddler thinks it’s hilarious), slim ice maker, the temperature adjustable drawer is awesome, Doors are heavy but open and close with ease, My husband loves the little ice, and It really is a beautiful fridge. Cons: we had to remove an entire shelf in order to put a liter of soda — there really isn’t a place to put tall items. The shelves on the door for the condiments (in front of the ice maker) are so narrow and short that you can’t fit big bottles of anything (like Costco sized ranch Or ketchup. Lol). Every single fingerprint and smudge shows on the fridge. The freezer slide out shelving is a con for me because 2 of the 3 are always open when you pull the handle (They open together) versus being able to just open 1 at a time (you have to slide the smaller ones back to get to the deep drawer of the freezer). Overall it’s a great fridge so far and we’re very happy with it. None of the cons were a deal breaker — we just have to get used to this set up since we have only ever had a side by side fridge.

great fridge
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design of this fridge is excellent, with the freezer at the bottom and a reconfigurable drawer in the middle, for which the temperature can be adjusted for meat, vegetables, etc... The transparent glass door on the right side is convenient. It is also super quiet with the linear compressor. I rarely use the ice maker so for me is a bit of wasted space but I can see why other people like that. Only negative side would be the price and the fact that magnets won't stick on the surface. Overall an excellent fridge, not to mention great looking.

No room for wine, water in door tastes awful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited to get new appliances but I have had nothing but problems with this appliance suite. The refrigerator looks nice and I love the beverage drawer, but after I got it I realized there is no where that you can put a bottle of open wine. The shelves in the glass door aren't adjustable and the only other place is inside but you have to push the one shelf half way back to make it happen and then you lose all sorts of storage. My other issue is the water in the door tastes awful, like plastic. I have run gallons through it trying to get it to go away but so far nothing has worked. So I have to have my Brita pitcher in the refrigerator which also takes up room. I would also look for something else if you eat a lot of veggies, the drawers are so small, not big enough for celery.
