Completely dead not even 4 years later. STAY AWAY FROM LG!

Very nice fridge which does not make any sound at all, i am happy with the purchase.

I bought a new refridgerator and it was installed poorly I had to spend my own time fixing the install myself after the 20 something year old told me the 55 year old builder that built my own house that my house was out of level and fridge could not set properly in the opening. I fixed it! Then I bought a new top of the line dishwasher and the installers told me it was the quietest washer they have seen and left! that's because it was not operating! I didnt try it myself until 4 days later when it was full and ready for a wash. I called the store and they had me call the manufacturer! The call was taken in the phillipines and I was told it was an install problem and would not be covered if they sent someone out! so I am about a month waiting since my old dishwasher died to have a dishwasher in my house. I never got a call from a manager about either appliance that was not to my expectations or the installs that were not done properly as well. But they got paid!

I've only had the fridge intalled for a week, and it seems fine. Looks nice, efficient use of space, ice maker is fairly noisy. What it took to get the Geek Squad to install the stupid thing defies retelling. Weeks of missed appointments and bad communication. I was on the verge of telling them to give me my money back and pick up the fridge from my garage where they had left it a month prior, when someone finally showed up, an hour after the scheduled window (and without any kind of call to let me know they were still coming). Cannot really recommend purchasing any major appliance from Best Buy, after this experience.

We originally brought a Samsung counter depth with flex zone which was a bit loud for a new fridge. We exchanged it for the LG which is much quieter. The freezer space seems more usable in the Samsung. LG has three draws in the freezer and Samsung has two. The middle thin draw in the LG's freezer is pretty useless, LG should have design it with two deeper draws. The LG's soft close CustomChill drawer is a nice feature that is lacking in the Samsung. The Samsung had a regular stainless steel exterior, it was pretty high maintenace as we had to clean it at least once a day due to all the finger prints, LG's black stainless steel is finger print resistant which made cleaning a thing of the pass. One draw back to the black stainless is that it is a ceramic coating which can easily be scratch.

I bought a different refrigerator but they day before Best Buy called to tell me the one I ordered was out of stock. I had to get this one and wishing I never did. They do not have counter depth in the store so I didn't get to see it.

This refrigerator did not have enough space. I could not even put a stalk of celery in a drawer without cutting it in half. The ice maker was very slow and limited. I returned this refrigerator. I also did not like the 3rd pull door in the freezer. It would slide around every time the freezer was opened. I was very luck with Best Buy's return policy. I switched to a Samsung and love it.

We heard rumors that Samsung refrigerators were noisy, so we went with this counter depth LG and couldn't be happier. The other feature that sold us was the hidden ice maker. It frees up so much space, because it is built into the door for a slim-line space saver. Only LG had this feature. Counter depth makes this fridge look custom. Very satisfied!!!

We purchased this refrigerator in 2016. After owning for less than two years, it started to have problems. First the water dispenser and ice maker stopped working. Then the entire fridge and freezer stopped cooling in summer 2018. We were living out of coolers for weeks and then had to purchase a mini-fridge while we waited for the LG to be fixed. We were without the LG for over a month. Finally, it was repaired. Then around Christmas of 2018 the water dispenser and ice maker stopped working again. We were told many things were causing the problem and ended up purchasing a whole new door and water/ice insert, which then did not fix the problem! The problem was found to be a $20 water valve which LG "kindly" paid for. (They did not reimburse us for the unnecessary new door or insert.) The water/ice worked for about another 3 months until June 2019. Now, in August 2019, the entire cooling system of the fridge and freezer broke again! (and the water and ice are still not fixed) We now have NO working LG refrigerator AGAIN! We have tried calling LG on several occasions and the response is always the same, "It is no longer under warranty and there is nothing else they can do." Way to stand behind the quality of your products, LG! I will never buy another LG product. I STRONGLY URGE you NOT to purchase this refrigerator.

I purchased this LG model in stainless in July of 2016. Now in September of 2017, the refrigerator started making a loud noise. I had an LG referred technician come out. Apparently there is ice build up on the coil and the noise is the fan hitting the ice. To solve this, the board needs to be replaced. This is going to cost $325. This is just ridiculous for a fridge that is a year old. I gave three stars only because I really do like the layout of the fridge and the way it looks. It is small since it's counter depth, but the space is really maximized inside. Plenty of room for a family of four that eats a lot of fresh food. I'd recommend purchasing the Best Buy extended warranty that is offered. I'm regretting not purchasing it.

We were concerned coming from a 28' cubic fridge to a 22.7'. The old was a side by side. This model has so much usable space that we found everything fit and then some. You won't be able to stick an Xlarge pizza box on the shelf. But all the space is so usable. Very happy.
