Hard to believe it’s counter depth

This is the second LG refrigerator I’ve owned. The first one was a full sized, French door model that served me well. I left if for the next home owner when I sold my house. I decided to stick with LG this time as well. The new home I’m in has a spot that is perfect for counter depth refrigerator. So I decided to try it. I was a little nervous to not have enough space so I searched for the largest LG model I could find. This was it. It was installed last week and I could’t be happier! The space reduction is in the depth. It pretty much has the same height and width of a standard refrigerator. It’s about 6 cu ft less than the first one I owned, but it seems to fit me better. It makes plenty of ice in the door dispenser, and has a second maker in the freezer that makes craft ice (spheres). It was a breeze to set up via WiFi so now I can see if there is an issue. Overall, this has been an amazing purchase so far.

    Very Nice Refrigerator

This unit is an all around very good performer. The black finish is beautiful and the counter depth lets it fit easily into almost any kitchen. The interior is well designed and has more than enough room to suit most families. The ice maker is embedded inside the left door which means more shelf space on that side. The craft ice maker produces large ice globes for highball glasses. It sends its cubes to a bin in the freezer but if you don't need them, the device can be shut off which gives you more storage in the freezer compartment. The freezer itself is relatively roomy but it's best to plan how to store various items to maximize it space. The outer water and ice dispenser works well although it takes some practice to avoid the ice cubes or crushed ice from spurting out an onto the floor. Although LG states that setting the refrigerator compartment at 37 degrees is optimal, I've found that a 35 degree setting works best for me. There are fewer temperature swings and everything stays wonderfully cold.

So far, very satisfied with this product. I can’t give it a five star rating yet only because I consider myself still being in the early stage of ownership & still learning about it. I can say that I love the capacity, ease of operation, custom ice feature & drawer space. Also like how there is enough clearance in the water / ice dispenser area for a variety of larger sized containers to fit.

Love this fridge so far. It’s really quiet, the stainless really does seem to be fingerprint resistant, the interior seems roomy for a counter depth fridge, and you really have to love the ice. The through-the-door ice maker is slim and doesn’t take up much space at all inside the refrigerator compartment and the craft ice maker takes up very little space in the freezer. And that round craft ice... fun!

The LG fridge is the only counter depth fridge that has enough space. This has a fun feature that you can make spherical ice balls and the kids love it. Also have the regular cubed ice on top. Overall good fridge but he compressor and fan are quick to go (within 3 years) This is my third fridge since 2015. make sure to get the extended warranty that will be your only saving grace

Wife and I both love it, replacing a full size similar samsung after a kitchen remodel. We don't have a big family, so that might be an issue for those who do, but well designed, with great ice maker. Seriously best ice I've ever had in a refrigerator. The anti-fingerprint thing is for real also. Only thing I'd change is for doors to close more softly. If you're not careful they can slam shut.

After looking at many refrigerators to replace a Jennair side by side we have been very happy with the GE. The quality bus good and the craft ice is a nice feature. The lighting is good and there is plenty of space for everyday food and drinks. The counter depth means it fits properly and does not stick out into the kitchen area. Overall so far very happy with the purchase

This refrigerator is roomy and it's very easy to see and reach items. I make great use of the wide shelves on the right hand door. The icemaker is so easy to open and close, and the extra Craft ice maker is so fun. My friends love the big round ice balls that it makes, and they look so pretty in a jug of clear or almost-clear liquid, such as lemonade or water.

This fridge fit perfectly in our kitchen—we’re glad we spent the extra money in getting the counter depth version, it definitely makes a difference. The craft ice balls are great—a little smaller than expected but they’re a good addition. There’s plenty of space in both fridge and freezer. The fruit/veggie settings are very helpful!

I love the size of this refrigerator the counter depth is perfect and makes my kitchen seem bigger. I like the water dispenser easy to fill larger water bottles. The shelves are strong and high quality. The finger proof surface is a big plus and looks great.

I absolutely love this refrigerator. Roomy and very modern. The dark stainless steel looks amazing in my kitchen. A true upgrade! My friends and family are thoroughly impressed with the built-in craft ice maker as well. Fancy and a nice added touch for cocktail hour. Highly recommend.

This is a well-designed product. The shelving is highly adjustable and capable of accommodating food products and beverages of various heights. Unlike many, the ice maker has an on/off switch, allowing the user to turn it off when sufficient ice is present or if going away for several days. The product produces nicely formed craft ice, great for entertaining. The finish resists the appearance of fingerprints and the Wi-Fi features allows the user to monitor multiple aspects of the product’s features.

Attractive fridge. It holds far more food than the fridge it replaced, despite its external dimensions being smaller. I really like this he internal layout, and there is flexible storage for tall containers (milk) etc. Th freezer has a three lawyer storage system which is also very efficient and holds a lot. The WIFI connectivity is an interesting but largely inconsequential feature. The dual ice makers are cool. However, if you have family spending more time at home in the southern summer than normal due to COVID or whatever, the production capacity will likely be lacking. I’d rather the Kraft ice just be another normal ice maker. There is an option for “fast ice” production, but it doesn’t make seem to make that big a difference and it automatically switches off every 24 hrs to without an override option. On the call whole though very pleased with purchase.

Very happy with this purchase, it was the biggest refrigerator I could fit into the space that was counter depth. It's beautifully designed and I can see everything when I open the doors. The space is quite ample in both the freezer and fridge.

Fantastic Refrigerator - But Craft Ice Not Perfect

I am now on month 11 of owning this refrigerator - and was in love with it up until this month. When I went to Best Buy to work with an associate on this purchase - I stressed the importance of the ice maker not being awful, as my wife and I dealt with that on our previous set (Samsung French Door with ice in the fridge). I was reassured that LG had never had an issue with their icemakers - so we took the plunge. $3500 for a refrigerator is NOT a small amount of money, so we felt that the cost must be due to better parts being used. For the last week I've noticed a thin sheet of ice in our craft ice bin. I had initially wondered if the door had been left open overnight or something - leading to melting ice. This was not the case. There were frozen craft ice balls in the rubber molds that would not release into the bin - so the ice maker would then run another cycle and pour water over the already frozen ice balls - leading to the water dripping into the bin and freezing. I Googled this issue, and found people's complaints stemming back to early 2020 about this exact issue. I also found a website that was preparing a class action lawsuit on the issue. LG has, evidently, not taken ownership of this problem with its craft ice makers on these first models - so we're left where I'm now at. I had to take a hairdryer (a flashback to owning our crappy Samsung set) to melt the craft ice enough in the molds to release them. I then had to hit the reset button under the ice maker to force it to release them into the bin - and then it began another cycle. I then dumped and cleaned the ice bin, and have been running it on the slow (more clear) ice setting. It has made two or three sets now without issue. My worry is that I've read far worse issues than this regarding this problem, so my fingers shall remain crossed that this will be our only issue with the fridge. Other than the craft ice issue - everything else has been fantastic. It looks great, it's quiet, and the regular ice maker are all functioning great.

The counter depth works perfect in my kitchen. Plant of refer and freezer space. Shows no fingerprints except some smudges on the handles which just wipe off. Love the two ice makers but wish the upper one held more ice.

I'll start by saying this is by far the most expensive refrigerator I have ver owned, however, it is full of great features. As a counter-depth refrigerator, it fits perfectly in our kitchen in the space previously occupied by our original unit. The ice/water dispenser in the door works very well and I am really pleased with the craft ice dispenser. IT holds temperature very well and is relatively quiet. Fit and finish is very good. This is the second unit delivered by Best Buy. The first unit was delivered with a left side door that could not be adjusted properly and a long crease on the right side. Kudos to Best Buy Customer Service for getting a new fridge out to us quickly with no issues.

We have always had great experiences with LG and their support. This refrigerator is a huge upgrade over our old Frigidaire. The craft ice is a very nice feature, so much better than dealing with the silicone molds that I used to use to make large round cubes for cocktails. Lots of storage, they utilized every square inch of space in this fridge for shelves, drawers, etc. One of the shelves has a nice feature that allows a section of it to be retracted to make room for extra tall containers. We haven't found any issues at all with this refrigerator.
