Nice fridge but problematic craft ice & regrets

So I got this in May of 2022. Less than a year in the craft ice ball machine would do this obnoxious knocking sound. I made a Best Buy appointment and then it self resolved. Of course after I cancel, the problem came back. So over a year in, I’m getting this checked out again. I also regret buying this model for that see thru glass feature - come the holidays it just means less space for Christmas cards or invitations since there is already limited magnet space about the water dispenser. I wanted to go Lg cause I just felt Samsung is too hyped (plus LG faired better on reviews). But save yourself, don’t get this glass see thru feature. Plus the craft ice machine is known to be problematic from what I’ve found after buying this machine.

Refrigerator review

Water dispenser/ice maker is inop. upon delivery.

Unfortunately, the water dispenser will not dispense water. The ice makers will not function either. Delivery technician tried a few things but was unable to remedy. I was told a new unit would be scheduled and delivered. As of now, 5 hours after delivery, I have heard nothing from Best Buy. Expected to hear from them immediately with apologies and a recovery plan. That did not happen. A brand new home and no icemaker is less than optimal.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY ITS GOOD LOOKS!!!

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While LG overall is supposed to be a very good brand, this refrigerator intermittently shuts off, ruining a whole refrigerator/freezer full of food each time. By the time a technician can get out there, it's running again, making it difficult to diagnose what is wrong. Furthermore, your Total Tech Support Plan/Protection Plan will not allow for an even exchange, as the technicians found "nothing wrong" with it. Their definition of "junk" is that a technician replaced parts, the problem happens again, the technician replaces the same parts, and if it happens again, on the third visit it can be declared junk. I have no idea of how other appliance stores work their service department, but I will have second thoughts about using this one again.

Fridge is 2 weeks old and ice/water doesn’t work

CF E issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we received this product last October 24, 2020 were excited after almost a mount of waiting , The refrigerator really look great but After an hour it was installed we notice that both side is getting hot and the freezer is real hard to open. And almost after 4 hours the control panel display shows CF E and the water dispenser is not not working anymore , we went to best buy to ask what we could do they said the product is not available for the meantime , as we went home we try to unplug it and waited 10 minutes to plug it again it works but after that its both side is getting hot again and after 3 and half hour its control panel shows CF E again and the water dispenser is not working again ,and we decided to unplug it . NOW WE HAVE NO REF TO USE, We hope the best buy could change the same refrigerator as soon as possible.

Malfunctions after one month.

First, the delivery and installation crew did not level the refrigerator, so one door closes very quickly while the other wants to swing back open. Second, the freezer door handle is malfunctioning, not wanting to lift up and unlock the freezer. The locking tabs are of course made of plastic and I expect they'll break in short order. I do not recommend this model.

Not worth the price

It’s either not being made or coming out as globs.The to mention the cost of changing the filter which needs to be changed every six months which is funny bc most of the time you can’t get the ice maker to even work and mostly use bottle water.

Faulty With Terrible Customer Service

From the get go it has had constant ice maker and defrosting issues. Customer support has been horrific. Their response to everything is simply to unplug and defrost it. This has happened on multiple occassions until the warranty has expired. Buy any other brand and refrigerator.

I trusted Consumer Reports…but…

Yet I am surprised this refrigerator, which was highly recommended, broke… it has not even been a year…. The ice maker stoped working and now the electrician is telling me it is making a shortcut…. That I should call LG asap… just disappointing…

Cancelled order

As delivery got closer I was informed delivery would be at three different times, with no firm confirmation of when dishwasher would arrive. This has resulted in extra time and expense to me as I had to cancel Best Buy order and get appliances from another supplier. As I tried to work through this issue was was hung up on twice by help,desk as and lost in phone transfer another time. The refrigerator might be fine but Best Buy is a disaster.

Piece of garbage!

It's always been weak, but the latch worked so we figured it was just the way it was, but nope! This fridge is an overpriced piece of garbage with a ONE YEAR WARRANTY so now they won't even talk to us about it! LG is the WORST! DO NOT BUY! Buy the better brand and save yourself some misery!

Worst decision

Stop working less than 3 weeks

I woke up with water all over the floor...ruin the bottom of my cabinet and all my food melted. I contacted Best Buy and they said it’s a LG problem. I Purchased the 3000.00 refrigerator from Best Buy I expect you to stand behind what you sell.

LG Nightmare
