This is my first stainless steel refrigerator. I would definitely get one that is fingerprint resistant next time because I am constantly wiping fingerprints off of it.

With having a limited amount of space where a fridge could fit, we were happy to find that this met all the criteria. We love that it's a french door style and I'm presently surprised at how much this fridge can fit. Much bigger than a side by side fridge and the freezer space is very spacious as well. Plus, the fridge is not smudge proof but with having a toddler the fingerprints do not show up as much as other stainless steel fridges. A quick wipe with water will get the prints off. Overall a great fridge and I love that the ice maker is on the door and doesn't sacrifice any space.

It's a great fridge. Period. Smooth doors. You can open either side and close it without having the other one open which is a huge plus. It's spacious. Only thing I don't like is it is VERY prone to fingerprints. It's bad. But I never have anyone over so I personally don't care but I can't recomend this for a show house or something like that.

This is a great fridge for smaller spaces. Fridge has plenty of room, easy to clean and looks nice. The finish does show fingerprints but it's not much of an issue if you use the handles!

Absolutely love the french door design. It is a very attractive looking fridge. It does show fingerprints easily though. A multipurpose cleaner works well.

Love all the room this refrigerator/freezer has. Very smart idea to have a fridge that has a shelf that slides back, so you can have a place for tall bottles. I have the stainless steel and it does not need to continually need to be wiped off because of fingerprints. The pullout drawer that holds produce, meats, and deli ( that keeps those foods colder) is my favorite.

We really wanted a fridge that has water and ice through the door. The ice maker takes up room only on the door. No wasted fridge space which was a problem with other brands. Quiet fridge but easy to get dirty with fingerprints. As most stainless steel items are.

Every Time you touch anywhere on the fridge, you leave fingerprints. I've tried everything I can think of, from elbow grease to Windex, and it always looks streaky and the fingerprints are very difficult to remove. When you consider the fact that their are no small children or teens, in our household, just my husband and myself, it's not hard to imagine how horrible it would be to keep clean in a home with children. I regret ever purchasing this refrigerator. I would never recommend an LG appliance to anyone. I've all stainless steel appliances, and this LG is the only item that I've this problem with.

I love the space of this LG refrigerator. I needed a 33 width & the LG fit perfectly. Looks nice also. I was impressed with the quality inside as well. Does show fingerprints more than I had expected. Front of refrigerator does not hold magnets so I am not able to hang the kids school schedules anymore. That's a bummer.

We have had the refrigerator for 3 months now and it is running great. Does everything we needed. I do recommend buying stainless steel cleaner. The finger prints are a problem otherwise. I have not heard any loud noises like the ones mentioned by other reviews. Runs real quite for us. Do hear the ice fall but it is not loud and pretty normal with any ice maker.

After our 20 year old fridge went out, we needed one quick. We looked at reviews and saw this one. I love it! It's quiet, it's bright inside, and keeps things at an even temperature. Cons? Fingerprints (after all, it IS stainless steel). Not being able to open the deli or produce drawers without opening both doors. Oh, and I can't place magnets on the front, but I'll live with that.

I was bummed when I ordered a full size 35 3/4in fridge and it wouldn't fit in our kitchen. We were off by less than an inch. After walking into Best Buy's new appliance store, the rep showed us a couple of 33in fridges that would work for us and there are not many to choose from. We found an LG that was a 35 3/4 that we fell in love with and this 33in had the same features but they didn't have it in the store since it was brand new so we went in to the purchase without actually touching or seeing it in person. We fell in love with is when it was delivered. The fridge is very spacious with many compartments and drawers that can be moved around. The ice maker takes us little space on the door and works perfect. The water comes out a little awkward because of where it is but I love it because it makes it easy to fill up any type of container and any size container. The freezer holds more than expected. It is a beautiful fridge. I initially wanted the silver but all of our appliances are black so we went with the black and it looks great. The only knock is that is does collect smudges and finger prints so we do have to wipe it down every day but that takes 10 seconds.

I absolutely love my LG French Door Refrigerator. I've waited 20 years to have a French Door and it's as great as I had anticipated. I've a relatively small space so the choices were limited but the LG met all my requirements including ice and water through the door. I love the icemaker in the door which frees up so much space in the refrigerator itself. It makes plenty of ice for a one-person household and it's great that I can stockpile it in the ice bin in the freezer if I need a large amount for big dinners or family visits. The bright LED lights are such an improvement over the old incandescents and the see-through bins are terrific. I don't have to guess which jar to choose by the shape of the jar lid! The deli drawer is so roomy and I've yet to fill up both vegetable/fruit bins. I like the freezer below since I don't use it as often as the fridge and all the items are visible. One suggestion - It would have been nice if LG had included in the instructions the information that the ice dispenser won't work if the right-hand refrigerator door is open. I had a few anxious moments the first day thinking that the icemaker wasn't functioning. My only two tiny quibbles are that the water dispenser has a flat surface that's awkward. If it were curved, it would be more ergonomically satisfying. And, as with all stainless steel appliances, it shows fingerprints which is annoying. But that's a small price to pay for such an improved quality of life from my new fridge.

    Good Fridge - Nice Features

Needed a 33in wide refrigerator to fit into existing space . Noting the number of available 33in wide models is dwindling in favor of 36in ones, this LG product seemed to offer a good balance of features we wanted. Plus, we found it at a decent price point compared to what else is out there. Compared to our previous Upper freezer/Lower fridge unit, this French Door model is taking some getting used to but it'sn't necessarily bad, just different. To start, we transferred items out of our 3/4 full old 21cu ft unit into this 24.2 cu ft unit and, presumably due to the layout differences, certainly didn't have as much space leftover as we expected in the fridge. In the freezer, we actually couldn't fit everything in, despite the freezer being rated at a larger capacity than our old one. My guess is that the new LG fridge gives up too much space to drawer slides for both the main freezer compartment door and the inner pullout drawer, plus the drawer design itself isn't as generous with space as our old unit's one large cavity with single wire shelf was. The fridge: The door shelf (i.e. tray) space is much more limited, especially on the side with the thru-the-door ice maker. Moving from 2.5' wide continuous trays that extended the full width of the previous fridge's door to little 12" side ones now, we're finding that we've to prioritize finding items that fit into spaces now, rather than being able to group items together by type. For this OCD person, its a learning curve. For example, we could always put our salad dressings all together in one large door tray. Now some go into one tray, some into a second, and some have to go on a shelf. On the ice maker side, it's even more challenging -- since only small items fit because the tray depth is shallow to accommodate the ice maker, stuff gets put in the trays that generally has no relation to each other, other than their relative size. Yes, it maximizes usage of space, but it's never fun having to look in 2-3 different areas of the fridge to fully grasp what you actually have. For example, we now have jellies for our kids' PBJ's stored in 3 places -- left door tray, right door tray & upper right shelf. Same with hot sauces -- you get the point. Fridge shelves are nice quality and offer plenty of adjustment levels to customize. Its also nice that, if the left & right side shelves are set to the same level, the shelves actually click together to form a more solid shelf across the entire level. The cutaway shelf is also nice in that you can store taller items if necessary, but if not needed, you can return it back to the standard configuration to use the full shelf. Fridge drawers are effective. We use the wide drawer for deli items and it displays them nicely which reduces digging around trying to find what you want. The fruit/vegetable drawers are good size. The humidity options for each seem to be working because we're still trying to find the best setting for the products we store in each drawer. The freezer: The space issues & drawer configuration were mostly addressed above. Compared to the old fridge design, we sometimes do have to dig a little to find items because stacked items in the main drawer are seen from the top as opposed to the side. Not a big deal, jjust worth noting. In general, food stays frozen, with no warm spots or other issues noted. All in all -- freezer works good. Outside, the ice/water dispensers are quirky because they both dispense from different spigots. Compared to every other thru-the-door dispenser I've ever used (and I'm certainly no expert on this), this was weird. For cubed & crushed ice, you put your glass into the entire recessed area and press the large panel in the back. The ice storage container in the door only holds about 80 or so cubes, so if you're a high volume ice user, you're going to want to keep an emergency stash in the freezer. Even if you'ren't a high volume ice user now, you may become one. The cubes are very small (presumably so they can be made quicker) so you'll initially fill more into your glass AND they'll melt faster so you'll probably need to refill sooner. For water, there's a separate push panel up high & forward, and the water pours out from a little spigot just in front of it. You don't come close to putting your glass "into" the recessed area for water. Plus, there's barely enough separation between the water panel and the spigot to fit anything that doesn't have a small rim. For example, our teapot is almost (i.e. ALMOST, without some serious manipulating) impossible to fill directly because of the arrangement. Other teapot designs/pitchers/etc. may not be possible to fill at all. The pullout tray seems like a nice idea, but I've been unable to use it so far. You can't set a glass on it to fill your water, and the height from it to the top of the recessed area is too short to use it to fit a pitcher (at least OUR pitchers) to fill with ice. Separately, the outside control panels seems effective. Haven't verified temperature settings to what is actually occurrng inside, but no issues so far with either the coolnees of the fridge or freezer. The "Door Open" chime is a nice idea, but it went off way too quickly and often for our liking and began to bug us. Since the delay time to actuate the chime isn't changeable, we turned it off (thankfully, LG allows you to do so! @@@@@@@ . Finally, the aesthetics are nice in general. It really IS a nice looking refrigerator. The fingerprints wipe up easily with a microfiber towel but, boy, there are a lot of them. We've had white appliances previously, so the stainless steel finish is new to us. Not sure how the LG stainless steel finish stacks up to other brands similar finish, but we're certainly wiping this fridge down more than we ever have to any other appliance we've owned. The only item of note is that we did see some bad scratches and flaking off of the finish in the store which the salesman indicated is an unfortunate issue with LG in general, but in our situation, it was a minor issue. We'll be sure to be careful with the finish in our home. Bottom line is the unit'sn't perfect but we like it. The noted issues are mostly related to us learning the ins & outs of a new style of refrigerator (French Door) that we've never had before, than it's a reflection on this particular LG model. So, if you need a 33" model, this is certainly a decent option to consider. If you can go bigger to a 36" unit, my suggestion is to do some homework and see what else is out there.
