I think of all the features I really like to glide and serve deli/meat drawer in the middle. It keeps all of our deli meat and cheese items easily within view. In fact, everything is easy to see at a glance. This refrigerator is easy to organize. We keep left overs in the right upper shelf so they are easy to see and use. This refrigerator has solved an issue we had with food mismanagement in our old refrigerator. It is tall and ours happens to be the smaller version since we didnt have the opening for the larger refrigerator but it is still very roomy. It is nice to see at a glance the temperatures in the fridge and freezer on the front of the appliance. The lighting is very attractive as well as functional. The appearance of the product is very attractive. Although you should know that the sides of the appliance are not smooth stainless steel like the front. The sides appear to be a textured silver plastic that looks like stainless steel. I cannot affix magnets to it. The ice-maker does not make very much ice at a time. That happens not to be a problem for us since we don't have kids. But if you had kids wanting ice in their drinks all the time, you would probably run out. The water dispenser is not all that easy to use. In fact the first time you may squirt water all over the floor. While the water dispenser location is good for filling pitchers it is not so great to fill glasses. The instructions warn that it can break a glass. It is best to depress the dispenser with your hand and not push the glass up against it since the glass may break. The freezer drawer is organized very well. I do think because of the freezer drawer of this appliance should probably have a child lock to keep a small child from falling in. The only thing I dislike about this refrigerator is the french doors do not line up well with the fruit and vegetable drawers. In other words, it would be nice not to have to open both french doors just to open one of drawers. We intentionally got the gallon shelves and butter keeper. Use care when picking a refrigerator to make sure they offer room for a 2 liter in the side door shelf. This one has room for that but some fridges do not. The water filter is easy to replace and is out of the way up near the top of the appliance. The shelves are adjustable in many ways. I can see everything at a glance and organize the space the way I like to use it. It is easy to keep clean inside and out.

When you have just 34" in width for a new refrigerator, your options are limited. However this refrigerator has been the perfect solution, with high-end features like in the door ice and water, LED lighting, adjustable shelves. We've already seen a difference in our electric bill as a result. Replaced a 10 year old Kenmore top-freezer unit that was still running, but starting to have pieces break. The bottom freezer is huge, and there when you need it. It's nice to have those things you use on a regular basis at eye level when you open 1 or both doors. It does make things easier to find. We weren't sure how we'd use the top level full-width drawer, but it's been fine for deli stuff (we don't keep pizza boxes around). The right side door will fit a half-gallon and a quart container front-to-back, and two half-gallon containers across. (We generally don't buy gallons of anything, but have a few half-gallon containers going at a time, so this was a concern). You can fit a few small items on the left door. We're a family of two, so there's plenty of space for everything. The refrigerator sits beside a doorway. Because it's deeper than the old unit, the doors just clear the wall when open. Also, the smaller doors make it possible to enter the kitchen while the doors are open. It's quiet, and seems to be keeping our food fresh longer. What more can you ask for? Oh, by the way. The removal and delivery was top-notch! Best Buy's delivery service showed up right on time after notifying us they were on the way. I was concerned about our kitchen floor getting damaged at delivery time, but they didn't even let the refrigerator touch the floor on the way out. They used straps under the unit to lift it, walked the old one out, and the new one in. Better men than I, frankly, but the delivery service was superb in every way! Highly recommended!

Replacing a 22+ y/o, 20 cu ft side-by-side, in a 35" wide space, options are somewhat limited. There are few fridges that were in my price range, fit the space, and could be delivered asap. After extensively reading reviews, and visiting the local BB store twice to take measurements, I decided on this LG model. The transaction was quick, delivery a few days later was flawless with constant communication, and set up was easy. (Special kudos to the delivery guys who were efficient and experienced. They knew exactly how to maneuver the new fridge into the kitchen space without scratching floors, doors, cabinets, etc.) Now as for the functioning of the fridge, I just don't understand all the reviewers that comment about the compressor or ice maker noise. Unless they received flawed appliances, this LG model is nearly silent...in all respects. Pros: Esthetically, very modern and matches all the other stainless steel appliances. Shelves & drawers are functional and well designed. There appears to be way more space than we would have thought an additional 4-5 cu ft would have compared to the old unit. The split doors are very convenient and space savers, though very similar to the replaced side-by-side. The best feature is the wide shelves that can accommodate trays of food and large casserole dishes. This was a severe limitation of the old fridge. I have placed a thermometer in both the upper fridge and lower freezer. The temps are spot on to what the digital thermostat is set at. Very even, top to bottom. Cons: As others have mentioned, the door shelves are narrow and limiting. The ice maker takes up valuable fridge space and does not have a large capacity. (Paying an additional $600 for the 2nd ice maker seemed to be an absurd expense.) Even with the convertible shelf, there is too little space for bottles and tall jars. But, all in all, we are very satisfied with this purchase. Both, Best Buy and LG have made this a pleasant experience.

I shopped extensively, both online and in stores, and had my choices narrowed down to this one, the Kenmore Elite that matches this one because LG makes it, and Samsung. I own 2 other LG appliances but no Samsung (although I do love my Samsung phone!) so I narrowed it down to the 2 options and then this one went on sale so I immediately bought it. Delivery was efficient. One of the delivery men was a bit abrasive in his manner but the other was truly pleasant so all-in-all not a bad experience at all. The Fridge fits in the same footprint as the 17-yr-old Kenmore Elite side-by-side it replaced. I grew up with freezers on the bottom so the arrangement of the unit was like coming home. The big surprise for me, however, was how much more space and how much more accessible everything is in this one compared to the side-by-side it replaced. I actually have more storage capacity in this freezer than I did in the old one and that was honestly a surprise to me. The versatility of the fridge shelving is quite nice. It does have separate humidity controls for each of the produce bins and my produce is keeping fresh for much longer than in my old one. The deli pantry drawer is a wonderful addition and I'm so glad I have that now. It's perfect for the selection of cheeses, smoked sausages, etc. that I always keep. I've read a lot of conflicting opinions on the ice maker. I live alone but am a heavy ice-user and I have house guests and my grown kids over quite a bit; it has no trouble keeping up with demand. A family of 4 might need more if they are in the habit of using quite a bit of ice. Next time I host a get-together of more than 4 I'll just stockpile it in the freezer bin ahead of time. On a day to day basis, though, it''s perfect. I'm quite happy with this fridge and certainly recommend it. And I do love the little pyramid ice cubes!

I was bummed when I ordered a full size 35 3/4in fridge and it wouldn't fit in our kitchen. We were off by less than an inch. After walking into Best Buy's new appliance store, the rep showed us a couple of 33in fridges that would work for us and there are not many to choose from. We found an LG that was a 35 3/4 that we fell in love with and this 33in had the same features but they didn't have it in the store since it was brand new so we went in to the purchase without actually touching or seeing it in person. We fell in love with is when it was delivered. The fridge is very spacious with many compartments and drawers that can be moved around. The ice maker takes us little space on the door and works perfect. The water comes out a little awkward because of where it is but I love it because it makes it easy to fill up any type of container and any size container. The freezer holds more than expected. It is a beautiful fridge. I initially wanted the silver but all of our appliances are black so we went with the black and it looks great. The only knock is that is does collect smudges and finger prints so we do have to wipe it down every day but that takes 10 seconds.

My kitchen is actually quite small at 10.5' x 12.5' but this refrigerator fits perfectly. We've owned this refrigerator for about a month now. When our old refrigerator decided to quit on us I did my research online ahead of time and this was the one we went with! I was very impressed from the beginning. We wanted: crushed ice in the door and a freezer on the bottom, Energy Star was also important to us (about $400 more, but the benefits far outweigh the upfront cost). We also only had a width of 33", when the standard now seems to be 36". VERY pleased with everything about this refrigerator, I do have to comment that we are still trying to figure out how to organize/arrange the fridge. Milk in the door and condiments, sauces, jellies, etc. on the selves? or vice-versa? Or maybe we just have way too many and could stand to get rid of a couple? There's so much room inside so we're bound to figure it out soon enough. :o) There's also a door alarm that goes off if you leave the door open for too long, which is nice, LED lighting and stainless steel make it a beautiful addition to any kitchen!

I absolutely love my LG French Door Refrigerator. I've waited 20 years to have a French Door and it's as great as I had anticipated. I have a relatively small space so the choices were limited but the LG met all my requirements including ice and water through the door. I love the icemaker in the door which frees up so much space in the refrigerator itself. It makes plenty of ice for a one-person household and it's great that I can stockpile it in the ice bin in the freezer if I need a large amount for big dinners or family visits. The bright LED lights are such an improvement over the old incandescents and the see-through bins are terrific. I don't have to guess which jar to choose by the shape of the jar lid! The deli drawer is so roomy and I have yet to fill up both vegetable/fruit bins. I like the freezer below since I don't use it as often as the fridge and all the items are visible. One suggestion - It would have been nice if LG had included in the instructions the information that the ice dispenser won't work if the right-hand refrigerator door is open. I had a few anxious moments the first day thinking that the icemaker wasn't functioning. My only two tiny quibbles are that the water dispenser has a flat surface that's awkward. If it were curved, it would be more ergonomically satisfying. And, as with all stainless steel appliances, it shows fingerprints which is annoying. But that's a small price to pay for such an improved quality of life from my new fridge.

Our old frig was showing signs of ending its cool life. With Easter's food already bought and ready to use we were left with a tough decision. Should we see if the old frig would make it through? Or was it time to see what was available on such a short notice? I was able to find a slightly dented unit, for much less than full price. And while I got a bargain in price, the quality of this refrigerator is top notch. The looks are amazing. We slid ours into cabinetry that hides the dents that lowered our units price. On Easter visiting family members all made comments about how nice this refrigerator looks and works. The air movement inside is amazing, keeping everything evenly cooled. And the freezer does the same, everything is frozen solidly, as it should be, regardless of its position in the freezer. And this unit is quiet. With it being slid in between cabinetry, we can hardly hear the compressor working, I literally have to be standing right in front of the unit, with everything in the house being completely quiet, and then listening very carefully I can hear when the refrigerator is on. We are running our water and ice from a reverse osmosis unit, and the ice is crystal clear and the water is just as clear. Hoping that everything continues as is has been thus far. I am impressed with it so far.

This French door refrigerator replaced an 11 year old Whirlpool side by side refrigerator that was also 33" wide. The LG french door was a huge upgrade in space. Love the storage options that this model has. I also really like the ice and water dispenser having separate dispensers. It's one of the only models like that, but it's nice not having to hit a button constantly to switch between ice and water from a single dispenser. I also really like the smaller ice cubes. I haven't had an issue of running out of ice yet though I'm typically the only person using ice, but I use a lot of it in a day.... The only part of this refrigerator that I don't like, and it makes me really nervous for the long term is that every-single-time you open ANY of the doors, the fans/compressor kick off on the refrigerator. For anyone who's familiar with compressors on anything from appliances, to central air, the most wear and tear on fans and compressors come from the turn-on. The more they turn on and off, the more wear and tear there will be. For the long term, I am really not sure that this fridge will last as long as the older Whirpool. I guess time will tell though... I just hope there's a good reason for the compressor turning off, other than just doing it for planned obsolescence.

Thanks to all the previous reviewers. Our kitchen layout restricts our fridge options, but we wanted to upgrade to a french door. This is our first with water and ice on the door and we are very pleased with it. Previous reviews noted that it does not make a lot of ice, a large family who use a lot of ice may be challenged. For us it is perfect and I appreciate the compact layout leaving more room inside the fridge. There is a bin in the freezer you can store additional ice if needed. I am still sorting out the best way to use the drawers. The lowest wide drawer is very shallow, many things I have tried in it are too tall, it is also a bit more awkward because you must open both doors to access it. So far I am liking that I can only open one door for what I need. The freezer drawers work well and we find the illumination just fine. We have the stainless model because it matched our kitchen, stainless is a fingerprint challenge - I would rethink it if I were doing it again. Set up of the fridge was easy, and everything is working great!

Deciding that my side-by-side refrigerator was not adequate when the family was over and brought their additional food, and the shelves were small in size, I began my search for a French door refrigerator. After 5 months of reading reviews, visiting appliance stores, reading more reviews, going through the process of elimination, and watching for a sale, hubby and I purchased this model LG refrigerator. I realize that not everybody has that much time to select a fridge, but for those comments about the fridge's space, ice maker, water dispenser, etc, I have to question if buyers looked closely at the features and space. I knew what I wanted and that this model had everything I wanted. After 2 months, this refrigerator is great! Yes, it is different from the side-by-side, but that's not a problem. I will not complain about what I chose. If down the road, the fridge has problems, then it will be time to complain. I feel we made a good purchase.

We got this refrigerator to replace a 12 year old side by side model. The French door setup is SO much more convenient! The freezer compartment holds a lot more than the old fridge and the slide out freezer tray is really convenient for things that you need to access often. The stainless steel finish looks beautiful and we find that it resists fingerprints really well. The interior lighting is very cool with a blue-ish hue. The control panel is easy to use. Changing water filters is a snap. The only somewhat negative things are that the ice cube bin is quite a bit smaller than our old one and you can run out of ice easily if you are filling several glasses. The other thing is that you have to get used to where the water dispenses from. If you set your glass on the shelf under the ice dispenser and then push the water button, water will shoot out onto the floor. You have to hold your glass in front of the dispenser. Overall though we are very happy with this refrigerator!

After our secondary refrigerator broke down, we decided it was time to upgrade our primary and move our current primary into secondary status in the garage. We did extensive research online (because we only make a refrigerator purchase about every 15 years) and liked this LG - a lot. I actually went into the store here to check it out in person and liked what I saw. Bought it on the spot. The BB sales person was extremely helpful with the purchase, financing and setting up delivery (including removal of the old/bad fridge, relocating the former primary into the garage and setting up the new LG in our kitchen). Installation was on time, done fast and expertly. We have been using the new fridge for over a month now and we're very happy with it. The only issue is sometimes the ice in the icemaker gets stuck, but it's easy to pop it open, give it a gentle shake and make it functional). Great fridge. Highly recommended.

We purchased this LG fridge in black stainless and we are so glad we chose that color. Our kitchen is not very big but it does not make it appear smaller. Very happy with purchase. We needed a 33 inch wide, so not a lot of choices. We hate french doors fridge since it's difficult to put even a pizza box in those fridge. But with this one, we have 2 french doors on top for the fridge and a drawer at the bottom for the freezer. It is what we were looking for. The only down side is the little annoying strident sound of the compressor, not to loud but you can hear it from about 10 feet from the fridge. At least it stop and not doing it for a long time. I don't remember buying a fridge that is completely silent so, we will live with it. Love the water and ice maker. Very beautiful appliance. And once again, love the little music of the LG appliances Lol!

We loved all the features about this refrigerator when we saw it in the store and when it was delivered to our home. It has so much more room than our old refrigerator. The only problem we had was that it ran about every 1/2 for at least 1/2 hour at a time and had a loud humming, almost vibrating, noise. I read some of the reviews, and everyone was saying how quiet it was. I shared my concerns with Best Buy, and they too thought something wasn't right. They suggested it maybe being a bad compressor. They replaced the the refrigerator, exact same model because that is what I wanted, with absolutely no hassles. The new refrigerator is extremely quiet. Problem solved! I love this refrigerator, and I can't say enough about the great customer service we received from Best Buy!

Had this fridge now for about a month. We really like it! Temps are very constant. Freezer holds at O deg with no problem. It is the quietest fridge we ever owned. Cant ever tell when its running. Only indication we get that it's running is when the icemaker dumps into the holding bin. The icemaker has never run out of ice. Although It's just me and the wife using it. Yes the cubes are a bit small but they are cold and do their job well!! Love the large bottom freezer. It has a handy drawer that holds a lot of frozen whatever you want to get at in a hurry. the fridge also has a drawer that has three temp buttons to keep fresh anything from lunch meat to cheeses. All In all a really nice fridge. The only down side is the door fronts are not magnetic. With 5 grandkids and 3 great grandkids we need magnetic doors. I'm working on that!!

Due to the layout of our kitchen there are very few 33" units (standard is 36") available. We also needed a fridge that does not require you to be able to open the left door all the way out to access the ice maker or filter cartridges. We originally were not looking for another LG fridge as the previous one has an unrepairable issue after only six years. This was our best option given our restrictions for an in the door water/ice unit. So far we have been very pleased. The layout of the shelving is great and there is a ton of room in the freezer. There are only two of us so the ice maker is able to keep up but if you have several people using ice, I could see that it may be challenged to keep up. We have our fingers crossed that this unit will last much longer than the last one.

I'm very happy with my purchase of the LG fridge. It has a lot more easy access storage space compared to my last side by side. It's easy to understand the settings and runs quietly. The ice and water through the door saves room in the freezer for large turkeys or family size packages. I like the small square ice cubes and the water filter is easy to install. Can't wait to store all the left overs from Thanksgiving in it. I'm truly thankful to the knowledgable salesperson who recommended this model. Only downside was waiting for weeks to have a white one delivered.

This purchase was to replace an existing refrigerator. We have a smaller space that required a 32-33" wide, but couldn't be too tall as height is limited by overhead cupboard. This LG model was one of the only French Door type refrigerators that would fit...and it fit...barely by less than 1/8'. We like the French Doors. So far, after about 4 months, everything is working fine. We like the tall ice and water dispenser. Great for an electric tea kettle, tall water jugs, etc. This refrigerator appears to keep things cold much better than our old one, and it appears to distribute the cold better as well. Based on 4 months of performance, I would recommend this refrigerator.

Overall a great appliance. No complaints but just a couple things to note, through the door water dispensing takes a little getting used to. Also, ice maker is a little small and could run out under heavy loads. Capacity works great for just the wife and I. There is also an extra ice pan storage in the bottom compartment so you could plan ahead for hosting. Lighting is fantastic and organizational shelving very sturdy and modular to fit a variety of items. Does show fingerprints, but cleans well and we very rarely actually touch anything other than the handles to open/close so the issue is minimized. Overall, very pleased with purchase.
