The freezer compartment is larger than necessary causing space limitation in the refrigerator compartment. The linear compressor is a little noisy but not intrusively so.

Good appliance with lot of room inside with small dimensions. On the minus side, the compressor is a little bit noisy and the doors do not have enough room for beers and cans; however if you carefully plan how to set your groceries this appliance is great!

Refrigerator is fine. Compressor is a little loud. Every single touch on door or handle leaves a smudge on stainless steel finish.

We were not happy with this LG product. It was very loud and "ran" often. It had a bad compressor and we ended up replacing it with a different brand.

We liked the first one. The second one should be better. The interior of both seems well constructed. Sealed system failed after just 7 years on the first one, warranty and compressor are supposed to be better on this one.

I was forced to get a new refrigerator after my compressor went out. . I got the exact French Door LG. It is exactly like my old one of only 5 yrs, except It has a Fresh Filter which keeps odors completely gone. This added bonus is great. I still love LG !!

WARNING ?? - My new refrigerator has been broken for 4 weeks &after several attempts to fix the compressor and front panel (which are all under warranty), but now that it's not fixable per the several technicians we have had here to fix it, LG is giving me the run around. Customer Service manager says he escalated my case (because 4 weeks without a refrigerator Means many many hours on the phone contacting anyone I could at LG to help me) tells me to wait another 24 hours so the engineers can review it. Now I'm told some manager reviewed my case and the notes say it's now not under warranty and doesn't look like there's anything they can do for me . Feeling helpless I started researching and found several consumers telling my same story over and over. This has turned into a nightmare and they are getting away with it. I will not stop fighting for them to make this right , but I don't want anyone else to have to endure what I'm learning to be a common thing with LG refrigerators and how it's being handled. PLEASE DO NOT BUY LG!!!!!!!!!

Bad Linear Compressor after 2 1/2 years

Although I love the space and design of the refrigerator, no parts should break after 2.5 years of use. I can't believe Best Buy still sells this refrigerator after it is well reported of linear compressor failure (after looking at online reviews)since 2017. Also, I'm incredibly unhappy with the ONLY extended warranty company they offered at that time called Warrantech. They are horrible and take 30+ minutes to answer their phones and customer service contracted with a lousy repair company who after 2 visits determined that LG had to do the work but Warrantech had to do the scheduling. 2 weeks later, no fridge and lost hundreds of dollars in food. Disappointed in Best Buy for no help with all the problems. Will never purchase from them again. Hopefully their Geek Squad warranty service is better but doubt it.

Compressor goes out in 2-5 years

We bought this refrigerator to update our kitchen less than two years ago and actually Best Buy was great to work with. The guys delivered on time and did a nice job. We got the refrigerator, a new stove and microwave all at the same time. The refrigerator was the only thing that was LG and we didn't get an extended warranty on it because, hey our old one never had a problem and was 15 yrs old. Just over a year the ice maker started having issues. Getting stuck, off track, that kind of thing. This summer it worked about 30% of the time and we would have to go in and realign it. About a month ago stuff in the freezer started melting. After about four days the top was clocking in at around 40 degrees and everything in the freezer melted. We called CS and did some trouble shooting (unplugging it for 2 min. and pulling the drawers all the way out in case the system thought the doors were open). Didn't work and we called a tech. and was told the compressor was bad. We went 21 days between first noticing an increase in temps to the tech getting the part in and fixing it. Good thing we kept the old Frigidaire in the basement! The compressor was under a 10 year warranty but the over all warranty was only a year and we are at one year and seven months. We had to pay $700 out of pocket for the labor and diagnosis and that doesn't include the food lost and annoyance of running up and down stairs for over two weeks for food! LG will not reimburse our labor cost and the tech told us it was the fourth one of the Linear Compressors on an LG he had replaced this week! He said they are always somewhere between 2-5 years old and that LG has a major problem with that compressor but they deny it when you tell them. DO NOT buy this refrigerator, get something else from Best Buy. Look online for LG Linear Compressor and you will see complaint after complaint over the same issue, the compressor goes bad after a couple of years.

When we purchased our current home, the opening for the Fridge was smaller so we can go purchased a new one, this was in February 2016. We picked the LFXS24623S because of the features, its a expensive fridge but with a 10 year compressor warranty, we figured it was a great investment. Lets move ahead to now, its 3 years old and the compressor is out. We are not able to find someone to work on them, nobody in our area will touch it. Talking on the phone with LG, they said its my compressor, which they would cover, what they don't tell you that no repair person wants to touch working on the LG fridge because of parts problems, The compressor is parts only, so you are out $300 dollars to get it replaced. They will send a replacement compressor, which might or might not work. The repair people I talked too said that the LG fridges are made to last 3-5 years. Seeing my current experience I would not recommend any LG fridge to anybody. You will be wasting a large sum of money. When you look on LG website for an authorized repair, the one listed for my area states they no longer work on LG systems. I have called 8 repair people around town and nobody wants to touch this. I just want to warn other people from making the choice of buying an LG fridge and then having to go in 3-5 years and purchase another fridge that will actually last as long as a fridge should. LG does not care about getting it fixed or replacing it.

We purchased this LG fridge in black stainless and we are so glad we chose that color. Our kitchen is not very big but it does not make it appear smaller. Very happy with purchase. We needed a 33 inch wide, so not a lot of choices. We hate french doors fridge since it's difficult to put even a pizza box in those fridge. But with this one, we have 2 french doors on top for the fridge and a drawer at the bottom for the freezer. It is what we were looking for. The only down side is the little annoying strident sound of the compressor, not to loud but you can hear it from about 10 feet from the fridge. At least it stop and not doing it for a long time. I don't remember buying a fridge that is completely silent so, we will live with it. Love the water and ice maker. Very beautiful appliance. And once again, love the little music of the LG appliances Lol!

Our old frig was showing signs of ending its cool life. With Easter's food already bought and ready to use we were left with a tough decision. Should we see if the old frig would make it through? Or was it time to see what was available on such a short notice? I was able to find a slightly dented unit, for much less than full price. And while I got a bargain in price, the quality of this refrigerator is top notch. The looks are amazing. We slid ours into cabinetry that hides the dents that lowered our units price. On Easter visiting family members all made comments about how nice this refrigerator looks and works. The air movement inside is amazing, keeping everything evenly cooled. And the freezer does the same, everything is frozen solidly, as it should be, regardless of its position in the freezer. And this unit is quiet. With it being slid in between cabinetry, we can hardly hear the compressor working, I literally have to be standing right in front of the unit, with everything in the house being completely quiet, and then listening very carefully I can hear when the refrigerator is on. We are running our water and ice from a reverse osmosis unit, and the ice is crystal clear and the water is just as clear. Hoping that everything continues as is has been thus far. I am impressed with it so far.
