Looks great, nice features, good value, quite operation.

Thought to get a Bosch dishwasher because they are so quiet, but this one was nearly as quiet but considerably less expensive and had a WiFi capability (with app). Not very useful, but still kind of fun.

4 months later, read booklet several times, tried all the different settings. Rinse cycle flap broke. Dishwasher doesn't heat the water well enough to clean the dishes, even w/the extra dry button / feature on, and the dishes are still dirty, even though the directions say u don’t have to rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. We DO rinse the dishes and it still doesn’t clean them properly. Blame game now: Best Buy said no warranty, (couldn’t afford it, unit was expensive enough) call LG. LG service man was VERY rude, used every excuse in the book: it’s made in China, AND? Don’t overload it. We don’t, it’s just 2 people and she’s been using dishwashers for 20 years, I think she knows what she’s doing. It’s a plastic flap, what do u expect?... that really chapped me... We know, but it shouldn’t be so thin & brittle that it breaks after only a few washes. Everything works fine... well, it BARELY works and it doesn’t work fine, and it definitely does not work how it was designed to work! If u have to make excuses, blame AND insult the customer, then your product is garbage and u don’t have any customer service skills or people skills for that matter. Best Buy & LG: do the right thing & take responsibility for this expensive paperweight ($736!!!) that does us no good now. All we want is for u guys to exchange it for a dishwasher that DOES work.

Am still learning how to use it. Find the directions inadequate in being able to choose the preferred washing situation.

I'm finding I have to run items through the wash twice. We have to make sure to pre-wash by hand and make sure nothing is on the dishes, bc the dishwasher will not take it off. Even on the Extra dry setting, dishes still come out wet. I was so excited about this dishwasher and have been very disappointed. I wish I hadn't let them haul off my original dishwasher. :/

The interior looks like a Borsh but not the price tag.

This machine is so much better than my last one. I absolutely love it. I am very happy I traded my Samsung in.

Had our kitchen remodeled and this line of appliances was a great choice!

Great washer but still doesn’t dry as good as i would like it to

I bought this in January 2020 because I wanted the Alexa integration. The good: * Dishes come out very clean * Very quite * Feature rich (many cycles, downloadable custom cycles) * Adjustable glass shelf for tall glasses * Dedicated third shelf for silverware that (IMHO) is better than the silverware bins * Great to get notification of dishes being done * I don't use it, but the "auto-order" of supplies is pretty cool if you don't want to worry about detergent or rinse agents. The Bad & Ugly * The owners manual indicates that you should put the machine in "auto" and it will automatically adjust the cycle to match the soil on the dishes. This is simply not true. Half full or loaded to the brim, auto timer is always around 3 hours. Even the "half load" cycled tickles 2 hours. Don't run this dishwasher if you need something out quick. * The ability to virtually troubleshoot using the app to download logs is a complete joke. LG's technical support has no idea what you are talking about and you will never be able to use this featuer (see frustration below) * The first time the dishwasher wouldn't drain happened about 3 weeks after install. Pulled the washer from under counter, drained water and re-aligned drain hose believing it may be kinked or looped. * Second time not draining around 3 days after first issue. Again, pulled it from under counter. Added an extension hose (using specific coupler), drained, had a training class for my kids on not using the dishwasher as a garbage disposal no matter how impressive the LG marketing material may look. Third time, about 6 weeks later. water not draining. Getting annoyed. Pulled out this silver petulance from its well tomb and replaced coupler with another type believing it may be the cause of a clog and put hose back on. Fourth time. Water not draining (OE error code taunts me like Neptune and Taiwan gave birth to a stainless steel demon). There isn't a chance in Atlantis that I am pulling this crap out again from under the counter by disconnecting water, electric and drain hose. Under sink, I disconnected hose from garbage disposal and used wet/ dry vacuum to suck out water. Continued to flush with clean water from dishwasher and reflected on the irony that both appliances in my kitchen suck. Fifth time.. Water not draining. It is time for LG chat support. I love typing what is wrong in the chat window and clicking submit only to be prompted by a "tech" asking me what is wrong. Re-typed my rant to be asked: "who installed the dishwasher?". Okay, I will be your huckleberry.. "I did". Response: "You will need to contact an authorized installation professional". You.. Have.. To.. Be... Kidding. We established that the warranty would not be voided if a homeowner installed their appliance and they scheduled a technician out to look at it. Waiting for the phone call to see how the next chapter in the saga begins. Listen.. any brand and anything can get a "lemon". I really want to love this dishwasher and even hope my issues are from "home owner error" but I am pretty convinced either the drain pump or vent valve is damaged or defective. In good faith, I can't give this thing more than a 3 and would not recommend it unless you love re-installing it several time, are a plumber or apparently an "authorized installation technician:"

This dishwasher is LOUD. It’s a lot louder than the one it replaced. It also doesn’t clean all that well. It’s got a good seal on it, so good dishes don’t dry. I thought going for an LG product was a good plan but I’m very disappointed.
