We were running into issues with the frigidaire washer that was left from the previous homeowners and this was such a noticible upgrade from the old 2016 appliance. Its relatively quiet, the stainless steel interior makes it so easy to tell when its clean. The other reviews about it not really drying are unfortunately accurate and it has a super long runtime with the “extra dry” setting that doesnt really do anything. But my dishes are clean and I am happy so its not a bad tradeoff to just leave the door cracked for a little while after a cycle to let it air dry a little.

Awesome dishwasher! The first time I used it, I had to go back into the kitchen 3 times because I thought it had stopped too early because it was so quiet I couldn't hear it unless I was in the kitchen! Extremely quiet. A variety of settings. Cleans perfectly. Dries well. Love the 3rd rack. Best dishwasher I've ever had.

Does a great job washing. It was relatively easy to install; all the connections are at the front bottom. You will need about 4 feet of electrical wire from the back wall to snake it under the unit to the connection. Note may need more if your box is on the left as the electrical is on the right when facing the dishwasher. The same holds true for the water connection; I used the 6foot braided hose at Home Depot. The filer inside is easy to take out and clean. The unit is quiet enough to turn it on and have a conversation right next to it. I would not think the noise will cause anyone a problem and the next level in decibal reduction is going to come at a premium price. Only con is the cycles are long. A Normal cycle without doing the heated dry is 2 hours 30 minutes; heated dry adds 30 minutes. However, there is a timed on feature so if you run it at night no big deal.

    My First Dishwasher!

This is my first dishwasher. I wanted to make sure it was easy to use and I really liked that there are three racks. I'm enjoying this washer since I'm used to washing my dishes by hand. The only thing is that it does not dry the dishes all the way when I've seen other dishwashers do so. I've followed all the recommendations but still come out with wet dishes. Again, I used to hand wash so anything to me is an upgrade. That's my honest feedback!

2 years in - mostly good

I've had this dishwasher for about 2 years now and I haven't any major complaints about how it works. Like some others say, its a bit slow but generally dishes have come out expectedly clean; that is to say that some hard and dried on things sometimes still remain after a wash (its not magic). I do like the middle rack moving up and down; though there usually isn't enough space on the lower rack to really drop it down but when i can it helps having that extra space for tall cups on the upper rack. I do wish I would have gone with a model that had wine glass holders. The one real complaint I have, which I'm not sure if is a problem with all dishwashers, is the tips at several points of the racks have deteriorated away and exposed rusty metal. Well it probably rusted after breaking. I haven't looked into how to address this because I don't see it being a problem at this point, but I would fix it if there was an easy guided way to do so. I've learned a lot about dishwashers since I bought this: preheat the waterline before turning the dishwasher on (by running sink water till its hot) and add small amount of soap on top of the closed soap dispenser. Both tricks help with cleaning a lot with any dishwasher.

This was a replacement for a Bosch Ascenta 100 that was over eight years old, my point of comparison. The LG's motor is a tiny bit quieter, but the noise of water flowing in is a little louder. The cycle times for the LG on an Auto cycle are right in a two hours and twelve minutes, thirteen longer than the Bosch. But the dishes are equally clean, and the third shelf is a miracle. All the small flat items that fought for space next to the coffee cups and glassware now have their own home. The tub is fully stainless, nicer than the Bosch "hybrid" tub. I'm pleased with the upgrade, but sad to only figure out the simple cleaning of a switch on the Bosch on the way to the donation center.

This dishwasher does a great job cleaning. We still need to figure out exactly what all of the different settings will give you. So far, It looks like you’ll need to add more time for dryer dishes. My expectation was using the automatic setting would give you clean dry dishes, but The dishes ended up still being wet. Going through the manual it looks like you’ll need to add more drying time to the cycle, which unfortunately means longer cycle times and using more energy with less cost savings. I’m sure we’ll figure it out and get exactly what we’re looking for with dry dishes.

Great dishwasher/ bad promo gift card experience

The dishwasher is great. We love the stainless steel tub, the third rack, and that it is much quieter than our last one. A word of warning regarding the promotional gift card, however: there was no information regarding needing to verify my email address in order to receive it. Three days before its unexpected expiration, I received an email stating that I needed to verify my email address in order to access the gift card and that I had until 12/13/25 to do so. Then I received the email stating the gift card was cancelled. I tried chatting and calling multiple times but kept getting disconnected on Best Buy's end. Today, after getting disconnected from my initial 10 minute phone call, I had another 24 minute phone call, which ended with a representative and then their supervisor confirming that the gift card was cancelled and could not be re-issued (despite the fact that I never had any communication stating it would be cancelled and have an email stating I have until 12/13 to redeem it). I have always been a walking billboard for Best Buy, telling everyone about my positive experiences and raving about the Best Buy credit card. However, the communication about the gift card and customer service with this situation were so poor that I do not think I will buy from here or refer anyone again.

We purchased our dishwasher about a month ago. We paid for delivery, install and haul away which was worth it to us. Delivery was as scheduled and the installer called about 15 minutes prior to arrival to let me know he was on his way. He was very efficient. The dishwasher offers many wash cycles based upon your needs. We love the third rack for silverware and also how quiet it is when running. We do use a rinse agent and are completely satisfied with how well the dishes look when finished. Such a big improvement from our old Whirlpool. Great purchase! So far, so good.

I'm am extremely happy with this dishwasher. First, it is the quietest DW I've ever had. So quiet, I couldn't tell it was actually working at first. Second, I love the stainless steel interior, which ensures me that the dishes are absolutely sanitized. Thirdly, it has large capacity, and the extra silverware/utensil tray at the top is extremely handy for large handled knives, spoons and spatulas, etc. Lastly, the dryer uses convection heat so no heating element to worry about. I do recommend a rinse aid as it really makes the glasses sparkle. So far I am very happy. This is an exceptional DW, well worth the price tag. I highly recommend.

      Posted .

Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish.

Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used. 2 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 3 so more rinse aid is used.

Water tends to bead rather than sheet of plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry option is selected automatically.

Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes. ^Jennifer LG

I bought this LG dishwasher a few month's ago and I am very happy with it. It is quiet, efficient, and easy to use. The stainless steel tub is durable and easy to clean. The 3rd rack is very useful for utensils and small items. The QuadWash system cleans the dishes very well and leaves no spots or stains. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high-quality dishwasher. It is worth every penny.

When I ran it for the first time I had to keep checking if it was actually on because it was so quiet. It did a beautiful job on my dishes and I really like the up front controls. The third shelf on the top is a real plus for items that don't fit in silverware basket. The price was good too compared to similar models with the same features.

Well I've had this unit for over a year now so figured I'd write a review. The Good -Get the job done the first time. Every dish has always come out clean even if I don't think it will. Overlap things with others and still comes out clean. Really impressed with how well it gets everything clean. -Love that the top rack has a lot of room for height adjustments if you have shorter plates and things but bigger things like wine glasses or tumblers. -Stainless steel internals is a really nice thing compared to the plastic I had before. The Bad -If you want everything to come out dry this probably isn't your dishwasher. I would say 95% of the bottom row will come out dry and probably 99% on the silverware rack, but the middle cups and misc rack is probably 60% dry. Even if you let it run for another 30min dry cycle it's not dry. After about 2 months of trial and error I just put it on the energy saver drying mode and save the power and 30mins since I know it's not going to be dry. -It's really easy to turn the unit on. If you just brush past the on button you'll turn it on. -For only "48dba" it seems a lot louder than my ancient previous dishwasher. Not sure if they went cheap on the door insulation but you hear a lot of water noice come through that area. Would I buy this unit or a unit like this again? Probably, I know for sure I wouldn't spend $400+ for a brand that starts with "B" just because it's 4dba quieter. And it doesn't leak like another brand that starts with an "S" so yeah it's served its purpose for the price range.

This dishwasher is very quiet and does a great job cleaning the dishes. I do like the 3rd rack for the small things and silverware. The LG YouTube videos are great for getting to know the features of your new machine. I really like the the dark stainless steel door. It looks great in our kitchen. This is the first time we went for a dishwasher that wasn't simply just about the cheapest from a known name. We did save money accepting white over black, the color I guess everyone wants now, and using Best Buy points, but there are expensive features we have never considered before on this machine. Wow, are they worth it! The all-stainless steel interior, the 3rd shelf, the programmable cycle variations, and the relative SILENCE are astounding, but noteworthy primarily because it cleans so well. The manual also includes detailed instructions for long-term maintenance, a big plus; we don't want to be shopping again for a new one in a few years.
