After reading many reviews, we decided on an LG model. We cannot believe how quiet it is, and how everything comes out so clean. It has a number of settings to choose from, and our Best Buy Technician, Alex, was the best!

This is the first LG dishwasher i bought. we are so pleased with LG that in the last year we have replaced all of our kitchen appliances and all are LG. Along with washer, dryer and 2 televisions.

If it wasn't so hard to take back out I would return it. bought it because of the top shelf, but it's worthless. It is quiet but takes too long.

For the last 6 months the display has been flickering and intermittently the dishwasher would stop working. Now, it beeps and blinks but does not work at all. Best Buy charged me $135 to tell me the main board needs replacing, and that it'll be about $500 parts & labor to replace it. The dishwasher was $599. And lasted 1.75 years. You decide.

This dishwasher is great. Easy to program and then it remembers what you previously programmed. It's super quiet. I run it as I'm ready to turn in at night. No noise and clean, dry dishes when I wake up.

Good but takes forever

It happens if I accidentally bump the control panel. The water actually starts spraying, even though the door is open. The local service department has not been able to figure out what the problem is. There must be some type of design flaw. It also takes over two hours for a cycle to run, which seems like a very long time. And even though I’ve had the dishwasher for approximately five months, it still has a weird chemical smell.

The door latch and sensor are designed to prevent exactly that, so if water is spraying during a bump or touch without the door being properly secured, this may point to a faulty door switch or a control board issue.
We also hear you about the cycle length—most ENERGY STAR certified dishwashers, like this one, do tend to run longer to save water and energy, but we definitely don’t want that to affect performance or safety. And regarding that lingering chemical smell, running an empty cycle with white vinegar on the top rack and baking soda on the bottom can help neutralize it. This one has a 5 year warrenty and so far is working well. I do more during the winter and some baking and cooking with cooler weather. The front panel controls and the timer is nice but do miss a towel rod.

There seems to be no way to tell when the wash cycle stops and the dry cycle begins. I want to shut the machine off when washing stops and before the dry cycle begins.
