Very disappointed to hear from both the salesman and the installer that it may only last about 7 years vs 20 years or more with older dishwashers. I don't like that it takes 3.5 hours to wash and dry, and when I tried to do a half load, it took almost as long. On the positive side, dishes and utensils come out clean and dry. No complaints there. I think I'll appreciate all the options once I get used to it.

It makes no sense to me to have a smart dishwasher, which I'm sure I'm paying more for. LG not everyone is interested in smart appliances. Another issue I find, is don't lock the door after you clean out the dishwasher. It causes condensation inside when you add rinsed dishes for washing. A tip - Leave it unlocked so it will dry out.

Several modes from which to choose, roomy dish racks, and SUPER quiet operation, makes this the best dishwasher I've owned. There are also some great design elements such as the slided-out cutlery rack at the very top, which keeps flatware and knives from slipping out of place -- and frees up some bottom rack space if you'd like to remove the utensil/cutlery basket to make room for more plates, pans, etc. So far, I've not had to re-wash anything. Dishes come out perfectly clean (even bowls with dried food residue), and glassware is spotless and sparkling.

The gentleman who did the install was beyond polite and knowledgeable. My daughter was constantly watching and asking him questions, and he was just as sweet as he could be to her. He was amazing.

The dishwasher is quiet, efficient and has done a great job washing the dishes. I have used liquid dishwasher soap and the spot free rinse and my dishes have come out dry and cleaned every time.

Had bought a Bosch 800 series but when it was installed it turned out to be faulty. We were unable to get a replacement so we bought this LG. Seems to be doing fine and was $500 cheaper.

LG claimed a 2 year warranty for racks but I kept my printed manual and it says 5 YEARS. See photos. Racks rusted very quickly, maybe 18 months. I had to send these photos to LG before they would honor the warranty. After 3 ½ years the pump motor went bad. Best to get an extended service plan for LG junk appliances. DIY repair takes 10 minutes after pulling unit out and laying it on it's back. I offered to send old pump in exchange for new one and accept a voided warranty. LG refused, but that's standard procedure. RIGHT TO REPAIR laws!
