We bought our house almost two years and the previous owners put in this dishwasher, I believe it is was new when we moved in. The dishwasher does a fine job cleaning, does have a long cycle but we usually run it when we go to bed. My huge complaint is that the water arm comes off at least weekly sometimes several times a week and when it does come off I have a tricky time getting it back on. Plus the plastic area where it attaches looks like it’s being stripped. I have never had this happen with any dishwasher my whole life. It is such a nuisance that when we remodel our kitchen I am going to put in a different dishwasher.

The LG LDP7708ST is really an outstanding dishwasher! The steam cleaning feature and the adjustable top rack really set it above the competition. I have used it to wash some platters which had dried-on cooking oil and they came out spotlessly clean. The advanced spraying racks also seem to effectively reach every spot on your dishes. The adjustable second and top rack made it easy to load odd-sized items. The top rack holds a tremendous amount of flatware and has a tray that drops down to handle small items which you don't want to bounce around. When you have a lot of plates to wash you can take out the silverware basket and just use the top rack - significantly adding to your capacity. The controls are excellent and offer many options including WiFi connectivity (which I haven't used yet) and allow you to vary the length of the cleaning cycle. At the extreme end, with Heavy Wash, Steam, Hi Temp and Extra Dry features selected the total time is 3 hr, 44 min. The shortest cycle would be about 2 hours (including drying time.) An easy choice is the "Auto" setting which allows the dishwasher to determine its own cycle and seems to clean very well. The operation is very, very quiet. You can barely tell that the dishwasher is cleaning, even standing next to it. You can see the time remaining if you look at the space between your counter top and the control panel. Otherwise you have to rely upon the three lights on the front panel. A white led lets you know that it is working, a red led alerts you to a problem and a green led lights when the cycle is complete. The stainless interior retains heat as well as sound and that dries the contents very well, without using a heating element which might damage your dishes and plastic items. Be sure to use a rinsing agent to insure that your glassware is spot-free. I like the stainless, plain exterior and found it easy to keep clean. The only reason I did not give this appliance five stars is that three times I have experienced an odd error in which the drain cycle would not activate shortly after the unit was started. Each time I scheduled a repair but the error went away when I started the dishwasher five or six times in a row. I suspect there is an intermittent short in the control board but don't want to call for service until the error reoccurs. Meanwhile it has been a month since the problem happened last and it has been working great. Overall, I can give this dishwasher a strong and positive recommendation since I believe that my experience of a random, non-repeating problem is unique to my unit. If you need an ultra quiet dishwasher which has huge capacity, cleans every speck of dirt from your dishes and dries everything very well buy this one!

I purchased this LG dishwasher while it was on sale with a free install offer. I checked many stores like Home Depot , Lowe’s and etc. Best Buy had the best price. Install all was quick but late. I honestly don’t know how to work the dishwasher yet. It’s my wife’s new toy. It’s very quiet and sends me text message notifications when it is finished cycling. It has 3 racks. The 3rd rack is for small items like silverware. Cleans pots pans and dishes without a streak. Good buy. If it is on sale.

It does the job. It isn't noisy, but the cycle still takes quite a while. At the end, dishes are not that dry, even when you select the extra dry option. I was expecting a bit more for an appliance that is over $800...

Great dishwasher. Plenty of room. Like that the middle & top racks are adjustable to allow an almost endless combination of dishes to be loaded. The steam feature is great for heavily soiled items. Doesn't seem to dry well unless the "extra dry" & "night dry" features are enabled.

Quiet Dishwasher. Liked the 3rd rack for spoons and utensils. But it actually takes longer time to load. Adjustable tines are a great idea. Gives a clean fresh wash! Best part is the half load wash feature! Most of all, loved shopping at Bestbuy! Ordered online and the price was unbeatable. Best part is same day delivery and installation. Other stores deliver and install at different dates.

Heads up to those who plans on buying an LG dishwasher, we would NOT recommend. We bought ours 3 years ago and even bought an additional coverage since it’s an expensive machine. After two and a half years, she started to show a weakness. Luckily, we still had extra coverage and we’re able to get the control panel replaced since it cracked (my opinion from the heat that’s coming out the top). A year later, the new panel cracked and caused the machine to quit working for us. That’s when we also learned, that our 3yr extra coverage is actually a two year coverage and this time it barely expired. Our Whirlpool brand lasted us for eight years and was still working, but we just decided to upgrade to LG, which doesn’t last. You can find a lot of good reviews from recent buyers, but wait a couple years and those reviews would turn bad. Save your money!

We did a lot of research before buying this machine, and we are very disappointed. Less than 6 months after buying, it has broken 3 times. I have a small, special needs baby and the unreliability of this machine is maddening and inconvenient. When it cleans, it cleans well; but it breaks at the most inconvenient times. There are parts on the interior that are rubber when they don't need to be. Those parts are prone to tearing which stops the blades from spinning and therefore does not clean. I do not recommend this if you need something reliable.

This dishwasher does a great job getting the dishes clean. I really appreciate the 3rd rack for silverware and small items, and the flexibility of the foldable tines in the dish racks. The lack of a heating element in the bottom really affects the drying capabilities. Plates and glasses are mostly dry. Coffee mugs and plastic items will retain water. If you don't mind doing a little towel drying before putting your dishes away, the machine cleans your dishes well without pre rinsing.

Had this for about a month now. Super quiet and cleans well. Only slight disappointment is that there is no heating element for drying. As long as you use some type of rinse aid, doesn’t seem to be a problem with spotting. Love the steam and the rotating wands for better cleaning

This dishwasher is so quiet we cannot hear it running. That is good because the cycle takes more than two hours. We like the snap tight close.

So far it cleans everything we thought at it. Very happy, I wish it would dry a little better but everything else has been perfect.

It’s the best dishwasher I’ve ever owned. Just scrap the food off and put it in comes out clean. Only down side is you need to clean out the screen trap every other day. But that’s easy fore clean dishes

Quiet, great features, steam clean is super powerful. Love the LG link, bought for kitchen and then bar area and plan to buy for outdoor kitchen as well.

Bought this dishwasher to replace my 15 year old one. Washes and rinses dishes a lot better than expected. I can’t get over how quiet it runs. Can’t tell it’s on.

Dishwasher is very quiet. Has plenty of space to put lots of dishes in I would buy this dishwasher again for sure.

Purchased dishwasher in Nov 2018. Was doing fine until about a month ago, then started showing an AE code. Contacted LG support and went through all the steps provided....repeatedly. Code continues to return half through a wash and stops the dishwasher. LG support is NO help. They keep telling me to go through the steps. Repair person was sent out and went through the same steps they sent me and "fixed" it. Dishwasher did not code for a few weeks, then started again. Contacted customer support again and they said they would "call" me when they could find a tech. Three days later I'm still waiting for a call and hand washing my dishes. I am confident that something needs to be replaced and LG doesn't want to take the time to figure out what is actually wrong. I am guessing we will have to replace the dishwasher to get it fixed. All of our appliances are currently LG. We have been LG loyal for a long time. It looks like we are going to be shopping for another brand of appliances going forward due to the crappy lack of support from customer service and product repair. LG is great, until it stops working. Then, apparently, it is impossible to get support.

Heavy duty, turn it on and can not hear any noise. Easy to clean
