This is a wonderful dishwasher. It has tons of space for dishes and the tines have multiple configurations for added flexibility when arranging. The unit is also very quiet! I love the auto-wash feature that automatically detects the soil level of the dishes. I suspect it does this by sensing the turbidity of the water during the cycle. The stainless tub is nice looking, and the addition of tub lighting gives it a premium feel. Dishes come out dry and streak free. No complaints

So i looked at this init for months. I wanted a wifi controllable lg black stainelss 3 row dishwasher. I wanted it to match my appliances and allow me to control ot all with one app. Now that it was isntalled here is the reality. First the upper drawer for silverware is a game changer. It can be adjusted and moved around so ots near and clean. It keeps solverware out of the way while allowing a deep shiny clean. Then the second level adjusts so you can fit larger mugs or bowls on that level. That leaves the bottom drawer open for plates etc that line up evenly. The init its self is quiet and efficient . It cleans very well and being organized is the ultimate comfort.

    Too bad for GFCI

I wanted to love this machine, it works great, racks are very sturdy and smooth, cleans really well and dries well too. It was actually pretty quiet. The 60 min wash is where its at, but any other option the cycles get long. All dishwashers do now though. The issue for me was it kept tripping my GFCI outlet. Had 2 electricians check things out, breakers, wires and outlet. Put in new GFCI outlet. Problem persisted. Replaced the LG with another same model, same thing started tripping the outlet again. From LG when I asked: "GFI compatibility: LG dishwashers, including the LDTH7972S model, are not recommended to be used with GFI outlets. The brushless DC motor and inverter board in these dishwashers can cause fluctuations in power draw that may trip a GFI." Full text can be found in questions following this link https://www.lg.com/us/dishwashers/lg-ldth7972s-top-control-dishwasher so rather than switching to non GFCI outlet, I went with Bosch. But I really liked the LG ...when it was not tripping the outlet. The other negative for me was the bottom rack has only 4 rows of tines, so smaller plated especially if square are tricky. Great silverware basket especially next to the Bosch. Hard to recommend, but hard not too...

The Gold Standard of LG Dishwashers

This dishwasher is top-notch; it cleans and dries our dishes very well. In all honesty, if I am nitpicking, it doesn't seem to completely dry all the water in our plastic cups. While it is not a lot, there is typically a small amount of water left behind. However, if loaded correctly, it is very rare to pull out dishes that aren't completely clean (though we always use the Heavy cycle with the Steam function). The two features I love most are the Steam and the Interior Lighting. The steam adds an extra boost to the cleaning ability, and the lighting—although simple—elevates the experience and makes loading dishes more pleasant. Additionally, I haven't had to do it yet, but I am sure the lighting will be helpful when we need to remove and reinstall the catch filter at the bottom. The wireless connectivity is also great. Through the app, I can: *Turn the dishwasher on and off. *Monitor the cycle count. *Adjust cleaning settings and rinse aid dispensing levels. *Change the duration of the tub light. *Customize the "end of cycle" music and tones. We have owned three LG dishwashers over the past ten years: one "regular" model and two "top-tier" models. The regular model was trash; a part would fail every few months, causing an error code and making the unit cease to function. However, the last two upper-tier models have worked flawlessly. My daughter even flooded one because she used regular dish soap instead of dishwasher detergent. While it threw errors for a few days, once it dried out, it went back to working normally. Overall, I am very happy with this dishwasher.

I am loving this dishwasher. It is super quiet. The rails glide so smoothly you barely have to touch the rack to slide them in and out. I didn't think we would use the third top rack but I put all kinds of things in it, such as thermos lids, tongs, etc. This unit seems to hold a lot more dishes than our previous GE Profile and does a MUCH better job at cleaning, even on the shorter 1 hour wash cycle. I like that it circulates air on night mode to keep dishes from smelling bad.

This Dishwasher is AMAZING! I was going to buy a Bosch, but they were all out of stock and no ETA on when they would be in. The Best Buy Team Member showed me this I said okay although I was sad because I wasn't getting what I thought I really wanted. This Dishwasher is AMAZING my dishes have never been so clean, there is a light so you can actually see them when filling and emptying it the third rack for sliverware is so convient and much easier to unload. I love this buy this you will not regret it.

Controls are easy to figure out, if you ever had a dishwasher before. The racks are pretty much what I am used to, but the utensil basket is bigger than my last machine, which I really like. This has the third rack at the very top - you can easily miss that it is there. I don't use it much, but it useful for putting in my sponges and my kitchen sink protector (which is really an over the sink rack - my sink is huge and no regular protector is big enough). Best thing is that it is quiet and doesn't disturb us if we are watching tv while eating dinner at the kitchen table.

This is similar to the Bosch washer which was being replaced. The control panel is nearly identical to the old Bosch. This washer is very quiet. One can barely hear it. If I am listening, I can hear it if I'm standing next to it. Otherwise, it's completely silent. Does a great job at its basic function.

Hello, super excited to get a nice dishwasher, the inside is all stainless steel, all of the three tray slides are very smooth and adjustable to fit different sizes of dishes. The steam cycle is an added bonus along with steam sprayers on the door as well. Oh ya it has lights inside too which is actually pretty useful too. I never would have thought about having those but I really like them too. It’s a very nice dishwasher highly recommended especially if you can find one on sale :)

Cleans great, very quiet. However, after using it twice the rail for the middle tray (cups, plastics etc.) became stuck. Geek Squad replaced the rails but a month later one of them failed again. Waiting on Geek Squad to replace with new rails.

Easy to install and runs great. Our last LG only lasted 8 years but this one seems to have more bells and whistles. Last one didnt drain well but thisnone seems to have a stronger pump. Also like the heated dry, evaporates all the residual water normally on bottom of cups.

I really like the 3rd row and how super quiet it is. The only things keeping it from a 5 Star product is the cycle time is very long and even on a dry boost it is still very wet.

The dishwasher itself is great. Very quiet and seems to do what it’s supposed to do. However, as far as the install, I would NOT go through Best Buy for that. Not only do they overcharge upfront but there is also hidden cost when the plumber shows up as well. Then to top that off the plumber did not have the supplies they needed to install the unit. The cord they brought was too short, the tub was way off of level and the unit itself wasn’t even flush with my countertop or cabinets.

I purchased this unit as a replacement that was under 18 months old using the Geek Squad protection plan. For that reason I deducted one star. This unit had some minor enhancements that I think are beneficial. This includes the heater and quieter while in use. I am legally blind so I listen to make sure the unit is operating. I had to turn off the TV to hear it - nice. The unit has been cleaning the dishes beautifully. I Had to buy a new protection plan.

I’ve been using it for three weeks, cleans well dries better than my previous one. Very quiet, something that it was a must for me. Cons: I don’t see one yet. Too soon to give it five stars. I hope it lasts as long as my LG w/d and fridge, more than 10 years and still working.
