The control panel on this dishwasher failed after just 6 months and just failed again 11 months after purchase. We were told by the service technician that this model is notorious for the defective control panel. We are trying to return it as a lemon.

Minimum cycle for 2 hours 28 minutes, max for 3.25 hours , too long and too much electricity and water . Not good .even with extra dry cycle doesn't dry completely, it stay wet.

This dishwasher sucks. We have had it for 2.5 years now. So far I have had to call a technician to replace the control board which just went crazy after about 6 months of use. Also I've had to put screws in the top rack so that it doesn't constantly fall to the lower settings. Many of the moveable fingers that hold dishes have broken. The grid in the silverware holder has broken in a few places. Now there is a really loud noising coming from the washer during certain parts of the cycle.

First dishwasher was defective and needed to be returned. Fingers crossed that the second one remains in good working condition

Display Segments broke after couple of month. Dishwasher is now one and a half years old and the inverter motor is broken. Is not cleaning good anymore. Repair from LG costs almost as much as a new one. NEVER EVER LG AGAIN!

the touch controls don't work properly. very difficult to understand directions it hasn't worked properly since installation.

Love the steam feature! Takes care of baked on grease and grime without rinsing! Very quiet!

I purchased the LDT5665ST Dishwasher on March 3rd, 2018. A few weeks in it began intermittently displaying a “1E” (water inlet error) error code when attempting to start a cycle. You would simply turn it off, then back on and it would run. It started to become more and more common and would sometimes start giving the error during the drying phase. Contacted LG customer service on June 6th, 2018. During troubleshooting with LG, they told me it has to be a kink in the inlet hose. The hose is a stainless steel hose. I explained that the chances of it being kinked are zero to none, however I complied and pulled out the dishwasher and verified there was no kink. I also changed out the hose just to be 100% sure that was not the issue. The dishwasher continued to not work properly. It got to the point where it might run successfully once out of 20 tries. Customer service eventually agreed something else must be wrong and put in a ticket. Now in between then and now, there have been no less than 20 phone calls to LG’s customer service. That is no joke. I’ve literally lost count. The dishwasher now will not even turn off on its own. It has to be completely unplugged from the wall. I could go into the details of each call but to make a very, very long story short, I’ll just say it’s now October 8th 2018 and the dishwasher still has not been repaired. For the last 4 months I’ve had a 100% completely broken and un-usable dishwasher. Today, October 8th, the repair guy finally got the ticket (After hounding LG customer service yet again). We will see if the repair fixes the issues but I can say without a doubt this is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Purchased a lemon in March and it’s still a lemon in October. Buyer beware!!

We own the prior model - just before 1 year, it wasn't nearly as quiet and wasn't cleaning as well. LG replaced motor assembly under warranty. It's not just under 2 years old and emits a high pitched tone when washing (for nearly the entire cycle). Despite the parts/motor warranty, LG wants $225 to fix. I thought LG would be a reliable brand -- WRONG!!!! Read the reviews of the prior models -- same thing, first year everyone says how great it is, but after that it's all the problems. These aren't isolated instances, there a more than enough to suggest a pattern of poor design.

One and a half years after purchase the control panel needs replacing. This part is not considered part of the control board and is not covered under the manufactures warranty

Horrible, constant OE error code meaning it won't drain. LG couldn't figure out anything wrong with it to cause it to not drain. Less than 3 years old and have had nothing but issues. Also bought a fridge at the same time and the compressor completely died after only 2 years....DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!!

LG support is terrible, dishwasher has ashort and warranty does not cover labor to repair their defective product
