The chimed when the door is ajar is a great feature. The temperature is excellent. All my refrigerated items last a lot longer than with my previous fridge.

I have had good experiences with LG in the past and liked the feel/quality of this model vs others on the showroom floor and it had solid reviews online so it was a no brainer. Everything was great until this June when the refrigerator began to smell like acetone/nail polish remover out of nowhere. This smell is so bad it permeates anything in the refrigerator from ice to food (even food that is sealed). Nothing had been a spilled in the unit but I figured I would clean it out and see if I could get it to go away. Sure enough my cleaning efforts were futile so I decided to call LG to see if there was some sort of known issue. Long story short it’s now been over 2 months, 3 technicians have failed to determine what is causing the odor and customer support has been worthless. I’ve spent at least 6 hours on the phone trying to get this corrected to no avail. After the third tech was not able to solve my problem I asked for a replacement - and now LG is saying only a service tech can authorize that. I’m literally stuck in a circular reference while my pregnant wife just wants to be able to use her ice machine or store leftovers in the refrigerator again. At this point I’ve bought a mini fridge for essentials and am not sure where to go with this unit - it’s turned into a $2600 paperweight just taking up space in my kitchen. TLDR: great refrigerator unless you have mechanical issues at which point LG has been absolutely useless.

The only part I don't like is the long drawer in the bottom. You have to open both doors to open it and sometimes it's annoying when one hand is full. Other than that, I really like it.
