We went from a fridge that had the freezer below to this side-by-side. I was a little nervous at first about everything fitting because it appeared so much smaller BUT to my surprise, having the door-in-door feature saved the day. It's unique design really makes everything fit in there just right. I love the color as well!

I love the look of my new LG refrigerator and the double door. The black stainless steel is just beautiful. The water and ice maker are loud but I've gotten use to it. Very roomy inside. I love the door in door feature. It's a nice frig

This refrigerator comes with a lot of places to put things. My favorite feature was that the door shelves can be accessed with a smaller door. There is a panel inside that keeps the cold air from escaping, which is a huge plus for energy savings. The freezer has a fast freeze mode to chill things quickly and the ice maker is very compact.

The fridge is an attractive appliance and functions well. The operation is silent, including the ice maker. The door in door feature not only saves on energy wastage but is very convenient for accessing items which are required more frequently. I find the side by side freezer so much easier to use than the ones that are below the refrigerator unit. All in all, I am very pleased with my choice.

I picked this refrigerator to replace one that the ice maker failed on. I had a Best Buy extended warranty and the failed unit did not have a servicer in the area. It was decided that I could replace with a new unit. I had the choice of one up to the value of the failed unit. I choose this LG. Although I only had it for a short time, I am so much more happy with it. I love the ice maker and water dispenser. Glad I went back to side by side as I did not like the pull out drawers on the bottom of the old one. The quick access door is great when not needing to open the whole door. It is a handsome fridge in my kitchen. I have no negatives to say about it. I even got some money back as Best Buy credit since it was less expensive than the failed one. The whole experience getting it replaced went well. My confidence in Best Buy has improved after this experience. Thank You Best Buy!!

The door in door is great, i watched CNET reviews, read hundreds of online post before i bought it. I put like a half case of water bottles sodas, milk, orange juice, and Gatorade there makes it super easy and actually that gives additional space so really just pots and food go there, main draw back is that ice maker is too too loud so loud it’s onky been 2 weeks and we turned it off completely!! The freezer gets super cold so who needs ice cubes ahhah and we don’t use the water function at all because we keep bottles in the fridge which is better for guest and snatch and grab. I like my fridge but would i buy it again? Maybe if it was made with quitter ice maker. But the option to turn it off is cool

I love this refrigerator. Not only is it quite and beautiful, it's amazing. I love the fact it has a smaller door you can open seperately from the main space, to access your everyday items you use. I have a small child and it's perfect for her to open and close the small door. The system alarm is also a bonus letting you know the fridge door is open. Overall performance, looks and space wise it's an A+.

Love this fridge so much. I'm so glad my husband talked me into door in door feature. Really love the extra space in freezer with having the freezer in for & having extra shelf space. Only down fall is ice machine doesnt always work properly. I still give it 5 stars because that might be because I turned it off for 5 weeks while we were gone

Covid-19 delayed receipt of our new LG refrigerator by 5 months but it was more than worth the wait! We love the “door-in-door” feature and the space inside (both freezer and refrigerator) is designed to afford ultimate storage for a family of 5. This refrigerator more than deserves a rating of “5”.

I love this refrigerator. The small door is so convenient.seems like there is more room in freezer. But im sure that is just me. I like how the water comes out different spot than water; even though that took some getting use too. And i love the look of it. Totally beautiful

You fall in love with an appliance. Love this fridge. Might turn into one of those OCD people who love to organize their fridges and do restock videos. The extra door is my favorite feature as well as the space saving ice maker.

The refrigerator is very quiet and is my first refrigerator purchased in 17 years. I don't even hear the ice machine dropping ice into the bin. My first LG refrigerator. I decided to purchase another LG product after purchasing a LG washer and Dryer and they have not disappointed. I'm anticipating many years of great service from this brand

So far so good. Good space in the refrigerator and freezer. Quiet running. Ease to use control. Excellent lighting. Great storage space in doors. I read my black stainless steel frig will peel in time and LG will not do anything about it.

I want a side by side and the in door was a great option. The door gets to be a hassle because all of the items are not assessible when the fridge is open. I get frustrated when I have go close the fridge and press the door button to grab butter. On the plus side- the door does hold a lot!

The Black Stainless Steel model is really beautiful and impressive in my kitchen. The LG is the quietest operating unit I’ve ever had. As others here have mentioned, the Door in Door will not close and seal with just a push. It requires a conscious effort to make sure it’s securely latched and sealed. And there’s no open-door alarm for that door. The full door, however, requires only a nudge to securely close and latch. Of course, the full refrigerator door and the freezer door both have open-door alarms. I’ve been monitoring the temps with a couple of wireless temperature sensors with a digital temp display on my counter. The freezer does a great job getting as low as -9 to -11 degrees (depending on how you set the controls). The interior of the fridge maintains at about 34-37 degrees (and has been down to 32). The Door in Door, however, holds at about 38-39 degrees. So, if the door is held open or there’s a power failure, there’s very little “wiggle room” before it starts heading above 40 degrees. It’s best to keep foods that do not spoil so quickly or easily in the Door in Door section. The LG Manual states: Recommended types of foods to store in Door-In-Door section are butter, margarine beverages, cream cheese, peanut butter, ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. I was surprised at some of the items, but a little research showed that all of those items are safe above 40 degrees for an extended period. The good news is that the Door in Door temp recovers fairly quickly after getting to 40 or above. And there’s plenty of headroom for 2-Liter drink bottles. The following comments may be unique to my unit as no one else has mentioned them. Both the water switch and the ice switch have “hair triggers”. A slight brush with a hand or cup will activate them and you’ll find unwanted water streaming out or ice falling out. There is also a very slight delay between releasing the switch (either) and the actual cutoff. I can’t release pressure and instantly pull my cup away. After releasing, a momentary pause before moving away prevents water on the floor or unexpected ice falling down. This was not the case with my previous LG unit. The designers at LG must all have 20/20 vision. For anyone with aging eyes and/or a visual contrast problem, the button labels on the control panel are extremely difficult to see. Fortunately, each button is enclosed in an embossed (raised) rectangle. Just look in the manual, memorize the position of the buttons and use the sense of touch to find the button you want. The most used button which switches from cubed to crushed ice is the first button. Easy enough. Nothing is perfect, but the LG is pretty close. The cons I found are easily dealt with.

Spacious, easy to program, the double door is great for kids use. Love it.

I love my new Fridge! the amount of space this thing has is more room then I needed and yet we still find ways to keep putting more things in it. it's a wonderful feeling to have that extra door to. I thought at first it would be pointless to have but its come in handy more times then I can count! I definitely recommend this appliance to anyone with that has it in their budget.
