    We purchased this refrigerator/freezer May 2016. We also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Within the first year the freezer stopped freezing, had a repair man come out and tell us the line froze and they had to replace the entire freezer door. June 2019 the freezer stopped working again had a repairman come out and tell us the compressor is bad and replaced it. And now it’s a day shy of August and our freezer is again the issue. We are now sitting waiting on a call back from the warranty company to contact us. Three issues within three years and this is my first and LG product.

    Not best choice

    Do not get if you have active kids. It dents easily. The ice/water machine did not work for longer than a few weeks. The temperature does not regulate correctly. It dies not hold much without being over filled.

    Junk! Stay Away

    Stay away from this fridge. Ice Maker had to be replaced after 2 years ($300) and the compressor died after 4 years ($600). So I have almost paid in repairs what I paid for the fridge!

    We have loved the layout of this fridge but aftwr 4 years it went out. Not exactly happy about this. I feel like ir should last longer than that

    Look up the lawsuit before you buy LG

    This fridge is absolute garbage. I was a best buy employee when I purchased this, so take that into consideration. It lasted 1 year before the ice maker stopped working and the entire unit would get hot to the touch on the panel that divides the fridge and freezer sections. The "black stainless steel" is literally window tint that started peeling off. After 3 years, the entire fridge quit working and neither Best Buy nor LG would do anything to fix or repair it. Google and find out about the class action lawsuit against LG over these items.

    Almost made it to 5 years then died. Purchased 2018 and now it makes all sorts of noise and won’t hold a temp. Water has always leaked from the in door ice maker. Water outlet for the water dispenser points to side slightly. Fridge is junk now. Not worth the time and money to have fixed.

    Consistent Defects

    The first one that I received the icemaker did not work. Best Buy came to replace it only to find out that the freezer was completely damaged and had more defects than just the icemaker that did not work. No one wants to help or take responsibility. Will nevertheless buy anything LG again.

    Not so happy with my fridge

    I spent 1800 bucks on a refrigerator and can’t use the ice because of the taste, I called the manufacturer and she said put a box of baking soda in it, I’ve been dumping the ice for three months and it taste just as bad as it did the first day I bought it, but on a good note the customer service from Best Buy and the delivery crew was awesome.

    Class suit against lg on linear compressors

    I have own for 3 years. Bought from best buy. It will not cool. Lost $500 in food. I cannot even get s repair number from lg. no technicians svailable. It is approsching 3 weeks and hsve not heard a thing. The class action suit is due to their linear compressor which is very short life. A little disappointed in best buy .they eoukd have knnown about this.

    It doesn't matter if it's pretty, when it doesn't work even under warranty. Cust svc is a nightmare and can't get serviced under warranty for months. No price is worth the CS nightmare and having no refrigerator for months

    Don't buy an LG refrigerator

    Overall I liked the refrigerator until the freezer side of this refrigerator died at when my refrigerator was 5 years and 4 months old. I would definitely no buy another LG refrigerator. My friend had an LG refrigerator that died at less than 7 years old. I would avoid buying any LG refrigerator unless you want to replace it every 5-10 years. LG is Korean made junk.

    stopped working after 5 months, I called LG and have been through many appointments with nothing but empty promises, still a month without a fridge. I would take my chances on any other brand if I was you.

    Broke in Under a Year

    I bought less then a year ago. It stopped making ice. The tech that was sent out damaged it more and all LG is doing is sending out tech after tech after tech, no one can fix it. LG customer service is horrible. Go with any other brand. LG sells defective fridges.

    This fridge is terrible quality. My other fridge from 2008 still works and this broke earlier despite being a newer model. I wouldn't recommend this fridge to anyone who wants longevity. This model only lasted 4 years.

    I’ve maker and freezer stopped working after having the refrigerator for a little over three years. So disappointed in customer service at Best Buy and the lack of compassion. Also disappointed in the poor quality of this product.

    Died after only 4 years

    Loved this fridge when we bought it. Ice maker started working off and on at two years and entire fridge died today at four years of age. Found a freezer at 61 degrees and all of the food spoiled. Fridge temp same.

    Dissatisfied..

    Purchased the refrigerator in August 2015 and was happy for a few bit. Noticed water dispenser was dripping a constant drop. Geek squad nor LG could figure out the reason for the leak. After about 5 service visits from geek squad and LG, and a few angry calls, best buy FINALLY accepted to return. Can't wait for it to go! Worst purchase so far!
